I will never purchase anything at this business again and I'm heavy on the never…read more I told the salesman that I needed a bracket for my license plate, he assured me that I had the right part but he wasn't even knowledgeable on why I needed it for the front of my vehicle. after I made my purchase I went to macco for them to install it and at that time I was informed that I didn't have the right part. so I immediately went back to advance auto parts to return it now they did ask for my receipt but I had threw it a I had discarded it and I told the salesman I just purchased it less than an hour ago. He never told me that since I didn't have the receipt that I could only receive a gift card back. he only said for someone reason it's only allowing a gift card. so I called customer service and to no avail I still couldn't get my money back and was given a report # after a week no one has called. I called them today and give them the report # and now all of a sudden it's because I didn't have my receipt. I'm a woman and I don't work on cars or have any car issues, this is the worse experience I've ever had with a company.

Not a very customer oriented company. They purposely don't write their return policy on receipts…read moreas I found out the hard way today they have the shortest return policy of any Auto store (45 days). O'reilly is 60 days and Autozone is 90 days. A few days late and lifetime burn in my book.

Big shout out to Sean M. (manager) at the Long Point location of Autozone. I had a very unusual…read moresituation with a purchase made at an Autozone in another state. Sean was very professional, listened closely to my situation, reviewed the facts, and offered a solution that totally resolved my issue. This was a first class example of positive, common sense customer service. It was the kind of interaction that fortifies customer loyalty to the Autozone brand and to this store in particular. I stopped by today needing a taillight replacement but had no idea which bulb to get. David helped…read moreme find the exact one I needed in seconds. Before I even purchased it, he took the time to check which light was out to make sure I was getting the right one. I asked if they had anyone who could help with the install (not knowing if they sell parts) he immediately offered to help, explaining that it was a quick + simple process. Not only did David replace the bulb for me - he also walked me through each step so I could learn how to do it myself in the future. That level of customer service is rare, and I truly appreciate his patience and expertise. Thanks to him, I left not only with a working taillight but also with new & valuable knowledge. If you're looking for an AutoZone with helpful, knowledgeable employees who go above and beyond, this is the place. I'll definitely be recommending this location to others!

(i walked into xl parts store #22 1649 gessner suite A Houston Texas 77080) and was treated extremely poorly.. the people there do not have good customer service skills . it is one of the first auto parts stores that does not greet there customers well , the manager Oscar castro never smiles or says hello when greeting or say thank you when leaving. Just always has a blank look on his expression. However this is not mainly about Oscar.. I walked in the store looking for a transmission dip stick tube (SEAL).. and the clerk (which by the way , I do not know her name).. asked for all the information to the vehicle. Finaly she then started to look for this one part I was asking about. She responded that she could not see it on her screen . so I started to explain to her where on the vehicle it was located. (her replay) "I'm not a mechanic. At that point , she did not offer any other help and I had to step to the side.. so before she could take the next customer in line, (I had to asked her myself ), " do you have somebody back there that can help find this part. (which ) she then replied ,"yes, I will get somebody ". However, she did not go get somebody to help me. She proceeded to attend the next customer, okay , so I waited patiently.. I figured she would help me after that customer. (but , I was wrong) she then proceeded to the next customer. And did not make any effort to go in the back warehouse to find somebody to help me. At this point , I walked to the corner of the store and peeked in the back to call out , (is there somebody back there that can help me..) at this point, the lady clerk yelled at me and told me, "you can't go back there.. (which I replied) , "I did not go back there, I'm just standing out here calling out for somebody to help me since your so busy..(she made continuouse replies ) " if you go back there , I will call the police) and from there she just kept yelling at me and making the same comment, (if you go back there , I am calling the police.. When the manager Oscar castro , finaly came out , he did not seem concerned about what had just happened at all, he just gave me a blank look and I continued to place my order and (yes ) he did find my part. (but ) mr. castro offered no apologies , no concern , nor did he ask what happened.. he just carried on like nothing had happened. I have been here along with other colleges from my company. And Oscar does not greet his customers , doesn't thank his customers for coming into his store. He always just has a blank look on his expression. I understand , we all have other work related issues going on in our heads. But if your in customer service . the least you could do is make your customers feel welcomed and not just made to feel like a number. I was not pleased with the clerks service , I felt rejected , and thrown to the side with here deminor towards me. And mr castro could have been more receptive and offered some kind of concern . very poor people skills
