Came in because of a nail in my tire. Isaiah has helped me a couple of times in the past always with great advice and he did so again this time! Turns out I need an alignment, and he was quick to explain why and where to go for that. I'll need to replace one of my tires soon and know I will be coming back here for that! read more

I had a slow leak in my tire so I made an appointment and stopped by to see if I could get it patched. Turns out, the nail was in sidewall and not repairable. I knew I needed a front set and Jay and his manager took great care of me completing this tire replacement. They also have the best warranty available so don't skip on that. Thank you Jay! read more

"Are you really honoring tire warranties as you claim...or are you just selling tires?" While I've generally had good experiences with this branch of Discount Tire, I recently came in for service, and left feeling a bit hustled. After a prior visit to replace air for a slow leak, I was following up to fix the nail what was found in the same leaking tire. Following a check and consult from a rep ('Morgan') and review, I was heavily pushed into the purchase of new tires for my vehicle. This was after the purchase of two tires from this same DT branch just a little over two years ago supposedly with 60,000 miles of coverage. One of the most uncomfortable parts, honestly...was Morgan's push for the sale, and not really listening my concern, nor looking back at the history of my business. If tires had been purchased within the warranty period, along with certificates for refund or replacement, then why are you trying to sell me tires again? Did you take time to listen...or to look into my account? Or are am I just someone else walking through the door? And by the way, all the 'yelling' across the indoor area and vehicle bay in front of customers...really, guys? Sure get the work done, but we know it's for show (womp-womp!) I'll see when/if Discount Tire words to rectify this issue, and if a resolution or clarification can be reached. No problem with giving a solid business the opportunity to correct. But do right by your customers, every time. read more

Phone conversations with Johany at Discount Tires advise to come in they had a spot for my wheels to be balance and rotation. I was greeted by Clifford under red tent took general information, had me park on the side. Wow super fast Paul took in my request he also noticed wipers worn advised me to replace. Yeah had all three blades, replaced. Eduardo informed me my CRV was ready and went over all that was done with my CRV. All associates were polite and respectful, excites me to tell others. I've been coming here multiple times for years. Usually have a good experience. Today it was great. Miguel was amazing and the rest of the team was friendly. Was in dire need of new tires and I decided to place an order to speed things up. Decided to stop at the Discount Tore closest to my neighborhood in the Heights on TC Jester and 18th street Near Restaurant Depot. As soon as I walked in Steven greeted me with the warmest smile. The made me smile and I even stumbled on what vehicle I was dropping off in our convo. We talked and he checked me in and right away he was getting things done. Now of course me "just being a girl" I ordered the wrong size tires and Steven made sure that I knew what my size was and that he would take care of the mistake I made. The associates at this location are working hard, the traffic at this location seems to be very busy. I applaud everyone there as well as a special shoutout to Steven. Thank you for your kind heart and help! read more

I've been to several Discount Tires around Houston from Spring to Katy area. When I didn't have my correct tire in the Energy Corridor area, they were able to order it for me and booked me an appointment with this location. I had asked for the closest Discount Tire to where I live. What's even more convenient is that it's only 8 minutes from my work, so I can stop by for an appointment or air check and go back to work. I frequently pass by this location for midday work lunches. This location sits on the corner at the edge of a double, 4-way stop which is not the best. Today, there was a tow truck in the middle of the intersection towing a car and was blocking a lane plus my left turn lane to get to their lot. It was a little dangerous, but luckily people actually followed the stop sign right-of-way rules. I feel like they didn't add enough space to this location when the Restaurant Depot behind it has so much parking. The good part is that they make signs that lead you into a larger air check parking area. I booked an appointment online the day before, so I parked and checked in inside. The guy outside in the tented area was busy, and I could've checked in there, but I didn't want to wait long since I was on my lunch break. Paul was really nice and checked me in. We walked to the lot where he inspected the tire. It looked ok from the outside, but he said they'll inspect the tire more closely since it was reading significantly lower when he checked the air pressure. The last time I was here, my Toyota car and phone app told me my pressure was low. Turns out, there was a nail on the side, so it had to be replaced. My warranty covered it. Since I had this other vehicle, I noticed the back passenger tire had 2-5 psi lower than the other three. Makes me worried in these Houston streets/freeway. I do not want a blowout or something. I thought there was an air leak. I was right. Hazel explained to me that she found a small needle in the tire causing a gradual leak. She patched it up and had the car ready for me with my seat setting set up. Thanks, Hazel! Altogether with check in, walking to the lot for a surface tire inspection and being up at the bay for a closer look and repair, it took about 45 minutes. I find the Journey tracker they text you is helpful to know where they are in the process . The timing was fairly accurate, and I got out a few minutes earlier than expected. There's a couple seats and bottled water in a small fridge while you wait. I'm just glad I didn't have to purchase a new tire for a new vehicle and that patching the tire was free. I definitely will be back to this location if I ever have any tire issues. read more

This was my first time visiting the Discount Tire on TC Jester, and I'm seriously impressed. I ended up with two flat tires on my passenger side--bad luck, but being in a safe spot made AAA less urgent... which turned into a headache trying to get timely help. I eventually left my car overnight and had it towed here the next morning. I originally bought my tires at another Discount Tire location so they honored the warranty and replaced them--huge win. Only downside? They only had one of the tires in stock, so they held onto my spare until the second one came in. Not ideal, but I appreciate the transparency and how they kept things moving. This location was slammed--two outdoor check-in stations, a tire fill-up station out back, and a non-stop flow of customers. Still, the team was on it. They were working their butts off and somehow still delivering great service. It was organized chaos, and it worked. If you're in the area and need tire help, I highly recommend this spot. Efficient, honest, and hard-working. Everything you want in a tire shop. read more

Kris and Olivert are top notch ! I needed to get four new tires and their team took excellent care of me. I was in and out in a very reasonable amount of time considering how busy they were. The guys that work here have a can do winning attitude and they make sure all of your issues and needs with your tires are taken care of. Great customer service, fair pricing. Just an overall great experience. If you want great service with fair price and Great warranty on tires, spend your money here. They will always take good care of you. read more

Staff are so kind and helpful! Had me in and out and back at work in under an hour! Best location in town

I don't usually leave reviews, but I felt I had to this time. Sebastian went above and beyond with his kindness, compassion and customer service. I was having a really difficult day and the way he treated me made a bigger difference than he probably realize it's rare to meet someone who's genuinely cares about helping people and Sebastian is one of those people. He turned a stressful situation into a positive experience and I am incredibly grateful. Thank you, Sebastian for your professionalism generosity of spirit, and for reminding me that there are still truly good people out there because of this experience, you have gained a loyal customer, and I will gladly return and recommend this place to others, knowing people like you who truly care read more

Tried to balance my tires twice and failed miserably. Took their tires to my mechanic, who I should have bought the tires from originally, and he balanced them in no time. I honestly don't trust them to even tighten lug nuts. They will also tell you they have a spot open for your tire rotation immediately, but they are just trained to say that. They will take 1-2 hours to get you in a spot for rotation. Also watched them throw hub caps and wheels around the shop which does scratch them. These guys have cost me a lot of time and money. read more

I am thoroughly displeased!! This is not the normal location I patronize but it is closer to home now. I came in at 2:30 (charged for services at 2:50) and was told it would be 45min to 1hr and there were 5 cars in front of me. It is now 4:58 and the car has not moved and I have not been updated. THIS IS NOT A REPRESENTATION OF GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE! I don't mind waiting my turn but don't lie then walk back and forth pass me just looking. I get up and ask, over 2hrs later, and was told there is still 1 car ahead of me... REALLY?! Just ridiculous - RIDICULOUS!! Now 5:05, let's see how much longer and how many more cars in front of me. SMH shameful. Just a side note: Someone named Lynn reached out in response to this review; however, the link she attached did NOT work. Great you guys, just great - NOT read more

Came on a Monday. This location is very very busy so keep that in mind because it definitely felt overstimulating. The setup is interesting. You pull into the parking lot to check in and then park your car in the lot behind and hand them your keys. Came in for a flat tire so I ordered the one I needed onlineThe and they put my tire on and got rid of the old one. The guys who work there were friendly and it seemed like they valued being quick and efficient. It took the normal 1 hour ish I was expecting to take. read more

I have come here for tires, tire repairs, and road hazard replacements on two cars for the last 12 years. And about 20 years before that in Austin. My experience is uniformly exceptional. I always pay for the road hazard coverage, since it invariably pays off, given the state of Houston streets. I run top of the line summer tires on my car, and today I got, for the second time on my current set, a tire replaced due to pothole damage, saving about $300 each time. My experience here, as well as their location on the US59 access road near Kirby, could not be better! Super courteous and helpful in every way possible. Today I was told 50 min (I had an appointment), and I had the car back in 30 min. I am startled at the 1-star reviews. My experience, over many years and 3 locations, has been consistently excellent. (In contrast to NTB, these guys actually know tires.) read more

I now know 4 people who have had bad experiences at this location. I took my car in for a nail and was told I needed new tires. After asking how many miles were on the tires, because I bought them there. Attendant couldn't answer. After wasting an hour of my time they finally fixed the nail. Then pretty much same happened to my daughter. Then her boyfriend took his car there and they said he had dry rot and needed to replace his tires. He did not and took his car to the dealership where they confirmed he didn't need new tires. Now a coworker took her car in to have a leak fixed. I picked her up around noon then took her back to pick it up. She just texted and had to pull over at another discount where she found out nothing had been done and her tire was super low on air. Do not go here if you can help it!! Which is so sad because I feel the other locations are awesome. Fix this location please!! read more

They are polite and try to seem helpful, that's the good I can write. What is the point of making an appointment if they just put you in the drive up queue? I've been here for 45 minutes to get a replacement part for something they broke the last time I was here!! This was after I had to call three times to expedite them. I'm only staying as otherwise it would cost me money to repair something they are replacing for free. Don't get your tires here because the after service is more work and time than the savings for other dealers read more

it's the typical scenario...the dashboard lights up and scares me half to death by reporting "low pressure". I was only 2 miles from home, the barometer had dropped and I figured PSI dropped as well, signaling my dashboard to light up like a Christmas tree. Got home, got out my trusty pump and put air in. Then I heard the hissing. damn! Tire leaking fast! And 40 minutes til closing time at Discount Tire. I called and begged them to let me come right away. They obliged. I raced over (1.8 miles away) in 5 o'clock traffic, Carson and the other staff, got me in, plugged it (thank goodness no new tire needed), did NOT charge me and sent me home very happy and relieved! Thank you so much, gentlemen!! This was the 1960 location near Perry Road. read more

Thank you Team! I had an incredible experience at the Discount Tire location thanks to the outstanding service from Store Manager Sebastian and Sales Rep Jordan! In a pinch, I needed tire service but had an unrealistic lunch break timeline. Sebastian went above and beyond to accommodate me, ensuring my car was handled with the utmost efficiency and care. He coordinated everything seamlessly, allowing me to manage my time effectively and even helping me complete a work test during my visit. Jordan was equally impressive, matching Sebastian's dedication and providing exceptional customer service. Together, they created a positive and welcoming atmosphere that made me feel valued as a customer. Thanks to their hard work and commitment, I've found my go-to tire place! I can't recommend this location enough -- Sebastian and Jordan earned a customer for life. If you need tire service, look no further! read more

They did exactly what I insisted they do and they were fast. I didn't like that every sentence spoken to me was an upscale. Why does the management allow that? read more

I have experienced great customer service at this location. Of course, if you come during peak times, the line can be long. But they have a waiting room and cold water bottles. There are also restaurants nearby to wait at. Recently, they had to keep our car longer than anticipated because of an online glitch, and they got us a complimentary uber ride back to work! They also price matched for me when I showed them how much Costco was willing to sell me tires for! PRO PARENT TIP: My kiddo loved sitting on the bar stools and watching the employees work on the cars. read more

It took a few phone calls and emails, but as of today I can report that Discount Tire has resolved my issues to my complete satisfaction. I visited the store today in person, and the manager on duty took care of the situation in no time flat. some great people! Hard workers and are very quick with walk in services. Kindness and efficiently all around would recommend to everyone !

Pick another location. Justin walks around ass busting instead of helping the team. I came in with a flat tire on a set of Discount Tires that are all under warranty. I even made an appointment, yet still waited far longer than expected. Instead of addressing the flat tire, the staff spent about 20 minutes trying to sell me new tires, even though my current tires were still in good condition. Eventually they determined the tire couldn't be repaired and would need to be replaced. Fine. However, instead of replacing it with the same tire I originally purchased, they tried to substitute a lower-grade tire. I declined. At that point they had to order the correct one. I decided to order two tires and was told they would arrive the same day. They did not. A day later, one tire arrived. No one called to notify me; I had to call them. Communication throughout this process was extremely poor. The weekend passed with still no update on the second tire. Finally, Monday afternoon I called again and was told the tire had arrived. I asked for an immediate appointment and arrived within 15 minutes. To make matters worse, during the installation they lost one of my lug nut and wheel locks and acted as if it wasn't a big deal. Between the upselling, delays, lack of communication, and carelessness, this experience was frustrating from start to finish. read more

Got a nail in my tire due to unending construction in the Heights. Brought my car here today and I walked away 1.5 hours later in a happy, yet confused daze. I felt like I had been transported back in time by decades, because every single person I dealt with was both friendly and helpful. They also sounded like they were having fun and making the best of a busy work situation with each other, which is nice to see. I kept waiting for a tip jar to appear on a counter or under some dude's arm, or a line item for a tip when I paid partially by credit card, but no, unlike my usual tire place, they were knowledgeable and friendly and reminded me of my years of customer service, years ago and didn't ask for a tip. It turned what was a not-so-good day into a good one. Their corporate training and consistency is definitely noticed by this new customer! read more

If you're here for an aircheck be ready to wait a while.... this Discount Tire is always busy no matter what time of day I come by (and I've tried several times recently because I needed some air but the wait was too long to stay). The entrance to the aircheck line is right after a 4 way intersection. If the line is out to the road I learned it's not worth the wait. If I can pull in line on the actualy property then the wait is more reasonable. Everyone is always super nice though so that's a positive ! read more

Probably the slowest mechanics I've ever seen. Sat for 40 minutes waiting for them to take my keys. Ended up just leaving. I literally see four guys trying to figure out who they're gonna call next while I'm just sitting there staring at them. I wouldn't mind waiting if I was at least able to know how much I'm gonna be paying for my tires but wasting 40 minutes of my time, not even knowing what I'm signing up for seems pretty stupid to me. read more

I appreciate the service of dropping off your tire, but it's so unprofessional and disorganized that I wouldn't recommend doing so. I dropped off my car and they "lost" caps for my rims. Then I was told for a span of 2 days that they were going to find them then by the third day I was told that they ordered them, and I can pick them up. Not only did they not replace with the ones I purchased but they gave me some random ones that I was not happy with. I called customer service because by the 3rd day I was becoming frustrated, and I didn't live in the area. They said they would call me back and never did. And for that reason, I will never shop with them again. It's a huge red flag when a company has no one willing to resolve a situation. I would have returned the entire tire if I wasn't so busy. read more

They will try to upsell you. I also got one price the day before and then for the same service they quoted me $50 more the following day. I had paid the day prior due to having ordered a tire so they weren't able to erroneously charge me the day of. The sales people are good at pressure sales so be aware. They will tell you something bogus like "dry rot" after inspecting your tires. Come ready to deny the upsale no matter how hard they try. I wouldn't go as far as saying the sales guy was dishonest. But I left feeling like he tried to swindle me. The technician who changed my tire I liked. read more

Updating my review: Let's call this DMV Tire instead, actually takes longer than the actual DMV... We called and were told they had the two tires we needed and dropped the car off on Friday 0930. We were told it would take a few hours for pick up. We also got an email confirming correct tires. Store closes at 6pm. We arrived at 530pm and saw our car parked in the Restaurant Depot without the new tires. We asked the manager and workers when it would be ready: we were told another 15 minutes. Wrong. We kept on seeing other cars pulled. They also lock the doors at 6pm. Mind you, we already paid $500 plus for everything. We didn't get our car until 635pm on Friday. Poor communication and delayed service, buyer beware. There were a lot of angry folks waiting for their cars yesterday. Please go elsewhere for tire needs. Not recommended. read more

No appointment; less than an hour tire patch This team is phenomenal, starts with getting checked in by Teddy - if more companies had someone even half as good at customer service then we would be in great shape! Teddy was so very friendly and extremely knowledgeable, able to answer all my questions and connected me with Travis who saw my work order thru from start to finish, even checking on the status and keeping me informed the entire time (which wasn't long at all). This location (store 20) is managed so very well and the crew move efficiently and effectively! I'm definitely bringing all of my cars here and would encourage everyone to do the same! Best Discount I have ever been to. Super fast and friendly service. Extremely helpful and thorough.

Obviously this places hasn't changed since my last review. This place is so mismanaged it's insane. Made an appointment they called and said I could come in an hour early and sat there until appointment time then I had another car that my wife brought over to get it done and guy came to help me then got sidetracked and sat my keys down to help someone that came in after me with no appointment. Grabbed my keys off the counter and walked out and no one noticed. Plus they weren't even that busy. Went to another tire store by HEB and was in and out in 20 minutes. Unfortunately I've always used discount tire and never had such a bad experience as this place. Someone needs to step up and run this place like a business. read more
