My sensory lights came on while in the neighborhood and since I had to return to the North HTX area, I figured I would ask if they could fill my tires. Well I guess due to the freezing cold, everyone was experiencing tire pressure issues and there was a long line, nearly out the parking lot. However things moved along pretty quickly and not only did the gentleman fill my tires back up, he offered to send me an assessment of my tires, via text. That provided me with the age my tires (never knew how old they were) and whether they were in good condition or not. I didn't feel pressure to buy anything at all. In fact, he explained that my tires weren't old and they were in good shape. He did recommend that I purchase in a few years though, but that is the standard timeframe to buy new regardless. In all, I greatly appreciated the help with my tires and their health assessment - especially during a stressful moment (where the sensor lights came on for all 4 of my tires and I was super far from home). Discount's customer service includes taking your cell number which they then send texts to you which provides a link which updates you on the progress of the repair request---as far as I can tell, it was accurately updated. When my vehicle was ready, I was informed that no tire replacement was necessary, and my vehicle was ready to roll---turns out that this type service was no charge to me which makes value incredible for me. We had a flat on the way to a doctor's appointment. The spare was put on and we went to DT. These guys and gals were absolutely excellent. Customer service and response time to help was truly amazing. Watching them all work together and separately was so inspiring to watch. DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION. Had to replace two rear tires due to wear & tear then tech gave me the run around & ended up "misplacing" or "stealing" my wheel locks. They told me they could not remove my wheels lock because they do not have the key but ended up replacing my whole tires somehow. It did not make sense. My guess is they probably stole my wheel locks only to sell them. I did not want to move forward with complaint because I rather take my business elsewhere & write this review. I've been a loyal customer but never again. There is another reviewer who voiced his same frustrations about a similar incident "Buck P." I believe him. These people are taking advantage of innocent people. Be aware! And if you have a gut instinct or unsure about what they're telling you, seek clarification or LEAVE - which I should've done. We had a tire replaced, and 5 days later I was driving home ON THE FREEWAY with my small children and noticed the car was acting weird, I was scared to go over 50 mph. I drove home stressed out and told my husband something was wrong so he decided he would take car next morning to our car guy. He started driving it and for some reason he cut through the neighborhood going 30 vs getting on the speed racer of a freeway and the tire completely flew off the car and rolled into a field , completely Damaged the whole side of the car. I can't imagine what could of happened to my husband or anyone else for that matter if he was on the freeway. Let alone, if that happened to me WITH THE KIDS the day before! We had to tow it home and then tow it to a collision center and get insurance involved. Shockingly , discount tire tried to say it was our fault and it must of been something we did within those 7 days which is IMPOSSIBLE. Took a whole month and extreme headaches to get it taken care of which involved rental cars and lots of out of pocket expenses. After a bunch of fighting back and forth This discount tire "negotiated" a small lump Sum for our troubles which by the way didn't even cover majority of damage , let alone a damn rental for almost a month. Interestingly enough, a coworker vented to me regarding a similar situation to which they messed up the tires on her vehicle and they tried to charge her double to "fix the issue" . The best thing about any Discount Tire location is the road hazard warranty. I have gotten nails and screws in my tire four times and it was a relief to have the Road Hazard warranty just in case a tire needed replacing. I am still in awe at the Discover ATP tires. Another great experience at Discount tire. This morning on the way to work I noticed a low tire pressure light on my dash. Got to the job site, set up my crew and then made my way to the nearest discount tire. Alvaro and his coworkers we're great! Álvaro started to work on my truck and before I knew it they were three others helping him remove tires, balancing rotating and repairing the leak (which turned out to be a nail). I'm thinking I'd like to send my guys to discount tire to work for 90 days, if nothing else but to learn the work ethic and camaraderie of the guys at discount tire. This past Saturday however they dropped the ball because 2 of the 4 tires I ordered had come to the store mislabeled, plus they had staffing shortages that day. I came here to fix a flat tire, but was told that it was not fixable, so ended up buying 2 new tires. The salesperson was very patient answering all my questions. It probably took only 10 minutes for them to change the tires and rotate my wheels. Because I bought tires from them, I can go back anytime for free rotations and balancing. I also went back to get their free air check, which was very quick! They have a specific line dedicated to that (follow the cones that say 'Free Air Check'). I've always gone here for "tire care" . LOL, but it's true. When I need new tires I come here, decent prices and selection for your needs. People here are knowlegeable and nice! (years ago I had a mansplaining condescending jerk but hes no longer there, TYG) They have THE best support IMO for tire maintenance and protection. Obviously wait times can vary depending on how busy they are, but usually its not more than an hour. Plus they will repair tires, fix leaks if that's all you need. When he went in this morning to get his tire replaced as part of our warranty coverage, the manager informed my husband that THE MECHANIC had broken a wheel stud and they could not keep working on the tire so they wouldn't break other wheel studs. My weekend drive to Houston started with me needing new tires. I noticed my car driving weird half way to Houston. My original plan was to meet my Aunt for dinner. I called my Aunt and explained my situation so she called around to find the nearest location to Pappadeaux's. She parked at Discount Tire and waited for me to arrive. When I arrived, one of the advisors greeted me and followed me outside to check out my tires. He told me that I really only needed two tires but the back tires will need to be replaced soon. I took my daughters 2013 RX 350 to this discount tire locations to get the tires rotated. I had made an appointment but I still had to wait for an hour before they got to my car. They informed me that the Lugnuts on my Lexus were aluminum and that they swelled up so that a hammer was needed to get the wrench on the nuts to remove them. they recommended replacement, and charged me $75 for a new set. When the car was finished, I walked up inside the garage and noticed that there was one lug nut in a package next to the wheel and the old Lugnuts. I asked the technician if that was my Lugnut and he told me three times that was a lug nut for another car when clearly it was part of a set that wasn't used because I had a locking lug nut. So I told the gentleman that I did not believe him and asked him how many Lugnuts came in a set that cost $75, he said he had to talk to the manager and he returned in five minutes and gave me the four Lugnuts that were part of the set for my car that weren't used because of the locking lug nut on the wheels. I can only imagine that they had intended to sell them or use them someplace else but the fact that the guy lied to me three times is very upsetting, and certainly not expected from a establishment like Discount Tire, it just goes to show you that even though somebody may have a good reputation and you've done business with thim for 30 years, you still can't trust them read more

They are definitely not discount. They are actually quite expensive. They also try to upsell you stuff you don't need. They find a ways to tell you your tires are no good when they are still fine. They will tell you your tires have no tread left when they have quite some tread left. These guys get commissions for selling tires and they will sell you tires when you don't need them. Folks I went to this location to fix a tire with 2 nails in it. They said the tire already had 2 previous patches on the tire, so they refused to fix it. They said it's unsafe and offered me to purchase 2 new tires. I went to an independent tire repair company and they took care of the the issue for $30..... discount tire wanted $275 for 2 new tires. This time I decided to choose this location of the one just a few streets over at south main, because it's smaller and less people come here. This means you get better service and get in and out quicker. My contact person was Jaci, he was able to locate the tires I wanted and match the price I found online. Thank goodness for that Warranty I purchased with my new Tires. I had a nail in my tire and they fixed it for free. I did feel like they were trying to push me to buy new tires although I am sure I still have a good few months before I need them.
