That darn light came on today and the first thing I could do is panic and think about the cost to fix. As I was on a stroll back to work from lunch I yelped "Check Engine" and O'Riley's popped up on my local search. I walked in and was assisted by Stephen! He was awesome. He took a diagnostic device outside to my car and hooked it underneath the dash and low and behold... He pulled my code from the car and told me exactly what I needed to do. My ford Cmax keeps dying and has to be jumped. Morgan Automotive replaced the battery about 6…read moreweeks ago and the car continued to have problems. I brought the car to the Ford service center to have the electrical system looked at ( for a $125 fee!). The service tech said "you need a new battery it tests "recharge and test"". I told them that I didn't believe it was the battery. The ford service tech said "computer isn't showing any codes" and refused to do any other diagnostic tests. He said they could only sell me a new battery (at $155!!!) but that was it. I picked it up decided I wasn't going to spend any more money Ford "Service Center". I took my Cmax back to my Morgan Auto mechanic and showed him what Ford said and he laughed. He said, he would test the electrical system and see if he could figure it about. 1 HOUR later the Morgan mechanic called me and said he found an electrical ground and fixed it and believed that was the draw on battery. Ford Service center is a JOKE. Their service people are no better than tech support. Morgan employs actual mechanics and actual repair your vehicle. I have used Morgan for simply repairs - oil change, tire replacement, battery replacement for year. I now know I can and WILL take all my automobile repair business to them.

They print out exactly what was serviced on your car and give you information on what may be needed on your vehicle and a safe time frame to get it serviced. I made an appointment with this Discount Tire location on 4226 N Roxboro for 2:45pm on Apr 17. It…read morewas for a nail in another tire. I would have gone to the one on 4400 Fayetteville but it was much further away from my workplace, and I have no desire to return to the Wake Forest location again for a 4.5-hour service. The location at 4226 N Roxboro in Durham was closer than both. At 2:20pm, I logged in Discount Tire's Journey Tracker app that I was on my way. I arrived at 2:34pm. There was no wait line to the front desk. I was immediately helped by senior assistant manager Jim (according to his business card). After I described the issue to him, he asked for my car key and said he'd get me squared away. Unlike other Discount Tire locations, he did not accompany me to the car to show him the issue. At 2:47pm, I received an update on Journey Track app informing me that the estimated time of completion for my vehicle was 3:41pm. The waiting area wasn't crowded. At least three seats were available during my time there. However, the counter table had no seats. I needed to use the wall outlet next to it to charge my laptop. So I stood on my feet the entire time next to the table. The wifi was slow. A Google search took at least 5 seconds. Google News wouldn't load at all the first time but then loaded almost instantly the next time. At about 3:02pm-ish, my car was in the service bay. Five minutes later, I was informed that that tire had to be replaced. The informing attendant said that it would be replaced at no charge, which Jim confirmed another five minutes later. The store didn't have the exact model tire so they went with the closest one. All it cost was less than $10 for another certificate of free replacement, and subtracting the price of the original tire (the closest model tire cost less). At 3:28pm, I received a text notification that my car was ready. Within one minute, my car was parked outside and ready to go - the team finished ahead of schedule. I appreciated the great savings on the new tire. Service was good, certainly better than the Wake Forest location. There's one thing the N Roxboro Discount Tire team can do to improve my rating to "great": put seats at the counter table.

I was shocked as I hadn't realized they patch tires for free. By the customer service, promptness in getting me in and addressing my car, I definitely expected to pay. They've got my business and whenever I need new tires, they will be the first place I look towards. I can trust that they're not going to cheat me and skyrocket the prices. Also, everyone there was incredibly kind, patient, and friendly.

A month later my check engine light comes back on so I take it to advance auto to get a read and the same code is reading for my car. She had a very calming effect to what could have been a stressful situation. But now the business is under new ownership and management and I must say that coming into the place was such a Delightful change of scenery. Upgrades and improvements abound and there is more to come with expanded seating in the customer waiting area and new touches to the decor. The wonderful Lady at the counter, Alicia, was very nice and accommodating. I went in to get my tire serviced because I had a slow leak the night before. I used fix a flat to get home from work but ,the gentleman who looked at my tire, discovered that the fix a flat had literally plugged the hole from inside (it tends to do that sometimes but I had to make sure). He gave me a complementary air pressure check for all four tires and charged me nothing for his service which I thought was very, very nice because he did put in a lot of effort to find any possible leaks and pressurize my tires. I thoroughly recommend this business because of the hospitality, the cleanliness, the obvious improvements and the quality of service.
