In the area of Dania Pointe and stopped into this Advance Auto Parts store to find cargo straps to secure a load and they had an incredibly large display of various designs and colors but were priced high between $29 - $59. Did a quick Amazon search and found similar straps for cheaper at Home Depot for under $15. The store was well organized and basically had everything for any vehicle. They had those air freshener trees that hang from the rear view mirror in your vehicle. I made an effort to rub my nose against the trees and took a whiff, but oddly there was zero scent. Maybe the thin cellophane covering is rhino strength and it prevented the scent to seep through. The clearance table in the center of the store had assorted products at deep discounted prices. There is a posted sign outside prohibiting oil and fluid changes in the parking lot, so be careful. read more

Angel was my angel he put the battery in and bata bing I was a driving . I remembered when batteries were 70.00 but this one cost me way more.183.50 was the cost . 11/13/23 around 1:30pm Very uncomfortable experience, the customer service was extremely petrifying, or maybe the clerk hates his job. I came in because my Nissan wasn't starting up, and i finally got a jump to finally arrive to this Advance Auto Parts. Granted i was extremely stressed out and anxious my car was done for. I walk in and saw no one inside, until this talk dark hefty worker comes from the back. He looks at me with two heads, and silently walks to his stationed register. I'm thinking "umm this is weird, but let's go with it.." I go up and tell him something might be wrong with my car battery, and need a quick diagnosis on what's going on so I can buy a new one. He agrees to check it out with his equipment. We go outside, popped the hood, and i'm standing there next to him to look at what's happening. He says "Back up" .... I stepped back. Very strange. He tells me it's my alternator...... that's strange? I just leased my car 2 years ago. That is a way bigger problem then just my battery. We head back inside, he swivels his large body into the door and the door shut in my face. That's nice of him. I asked what to do next. He said there's no alternators left at the store, and then he just picked up the phone to start helping someone else. I walked out. No goodbye, no thank you. And your diagnosis was wrong. Popped in while visiting Dania Pointe for an exotic car show this past weekend. The staff was pleasant and ready to assist. Kids wanted a couple of items for their detailing of cars and had a couple nice new sale items. They do not meet their online coupons or discounts but offered to help order thru online as wanted and setup for pickup in store. We declined but it was nice to know an associate was willing to go the extra mile if needed. Only thing better would be to meet offer in store and really amplify the experience. 15% was not going to hold back our purchase while in the area. read more

I came here a few weeks ago to get a battery for my soon to be decommissioned 4Runner. I know the car is old and is not worth a lot of money, so my plan is to just get the car to run as long as possible before I get a new car to replace it. So naturally I was hoping not to spend a lot of money on this car. I knew exactly what kind of battery I need to get. I took the old battery out of my 4Runner and took it to this store I told the guy at the counter the exact size the battery I need so I can take it home and swap it out. He said he had to charge me for the recycle fee but I get can get the money back after I bring in the old battery Okay no problem there. When I came back, a different staff was behind the counter. I told the guy I am bringing in the old batter back and surprisingly, instead of issuing me a refund, he said he needs to charge me for recycling. Really!? I told the guy, look behind you, the sign clearly said FREE recycling, and you wanted to charge me for recycling? To make a long story short, yes I walked away with my refund, but it shouldn't have to be like this I just wish the management spend more time and train their employees. Not only the second trip back is a totally waste of my time, it also leaves a bad taste in my mouth! read more

Was having issues with my car battery unfortunately. Walked into Dania Pointe Advance Auto Parts I was greeted by their employee Kevin. Super personable guy. I was fortunate enough where Kevin assisted. After telling him my issue I asked to see if they could test my battery. He did quickly and seen indeed it was my battery. I bought a new battery and asked if he could install also. Without hesitation or getting annoyed he said of course! I gave him some time as he looked to be the only employee really working the counter and helping knock the lines down. (Definitely need more workers like him!) After all said and done he completed the install. Completely professional and efficient. Would definitely recommend anyone with issues or questions to check him out!! ;) read more

When I stopped at the DD on Sterling my car was overheating. A few gentlemen assisted and reattached my heater hose. That solved the problem so I could buy a clamp and secure the hose. I explained the issue to a rep at Advance Auto Parts who sold me a hose clamp. I asked for a flat head screwdriver and they gave me a Phillips! Now I'm wondering how they got hired in an auto parts store. Clearly, it was not because of their parts savvy! And, their professionalism was to be desired. Anyway, I went to Pep Boy's and a rep told me it would be $50 just to check it and that wouldn't be until 4pm. It was now 8am. So, off I went to Tire Kingdom on Stirling where I received great service and a friendly smile. The service personnel were professional and knowledgeable. That helps in a crisis. Me and my friend are from out of town and were in Florida for vacation. On our way out we noticed the car radio wouldn't make any sound but the display was still on. we found the nearest advance auto parts and whipped on in to be pleasantly greeted and helped by Angel and Rony (sorry if the names are incorrect). they checked everything possible and tried everything to fix our speaker so that we could enjoy our drive home. they spent lots of time double checking everything even in the pouring rain!!!! they weren't able to fix it this time, but they were so kind and hospitable that we weren't even disappointed! five stars everyone go see these nice hardworking men!! they deserve a raise!! read more

I came in to buy brake rotors for my car. The parts were not there and had to be ordered. The salesman advised that the parts would be picked up same day and will be at store upon opening. I arrived at the store at about 11am the next day only for the parts not to be there and everyone is sitting around asking questions. The sales person was able to get the driver on the phone and said the parts will be at the store in about an hour. The problem is the parts were needed at a certain time to meet a scheduled appointment. It screws everyone day up by not communicating or not communicating the right information. No one apologized for their screw up or nothing. Everyone is sitting looking crazy. I've shopped with them for years and never really had a bad encounter with them. This has really left a bad taste in my mouth and attitude. I won't be back! read more

This was the worse experience I've ever had at Advance Auto. The service person Rony ignored us for 10 minutes while he was on the phone, when we tried to purchase fix-a-flat for my car.
