When he picked up the car, he asked when he could bring it back to be re-inspected and the guy said he was booked for the next 3 weeks. In other words, because he wasn't making money, he would not re-do the inspection. Charged my son $50 for nothing, didn't even put an emission sticker on. The car is only 2 years old. Jon, who is I believe is an assistant manager, was very friendly and candid. And when I had questions about a particular repair they recommended for our vehicle, he used a handy diagram, right there on the counter, to explain what particular terms meant. There wasn't a trace of condescension, nor did he use any of the common tactics, to try to pressure me to into certain repairs. He was just factual and friendly. Interestingly, another customer piped in at one point, to tell me what straight shooters they are, here. (He'd heard me on the phone, explaining the worse-than-expected diagnosis to my honey.) I think that says a lot, that a random dude wanted to vouch did the place. This location is very handy, if you're in the South Hills. I purchased several subwoofers and multiple sub boxes from this company, and I even used to hang out at the old store during the dB Drag events, where Ed would personally talk with me. Things changed after I had an issue with one of my purchases that I felt was never made right. Instead of resolving the problem the way I expected, Ed built me a custom sub box that ended up being about one-tenth the size I had requested. To make matters worse, he later threatened to sue me for slander after I shared my experience, even though everything I said was truthful to the best of my knowledge and based on my personal experience.

I took time from work specifically for that. When I showed up for my appointment, the mechanic (I assume Burt) told me he wouldn't look at it or recheck the code with his reader and said to go elsewhere even so I told him I was willing to wait for as long as it was necessary. I live just half a mile away from this shop so I thought it would be great to establish car care with this place. Completely unprofessional and complete disregard for other peoples time.
