i want to express my appreciation to the staff at AAP. They all very friendly and helpful. I have been very sick lately and they always find time to help me. They gladly put parts in my vehicle that I can't , such as; wiper blades and air filters. Thank you very much. The Smiths read more

I want to thank the staff of the Advanced Auto Parts in Ashtabula, Ohio, especially Todd, for his/their help and consideration. While driving east cross-country from Chicago the warning lights for the transmission fluid started flashing. The owners manual recommended pulling over and letting the car idle for awhile to see if the warning lights would stop flashing. They didn't. We googled auto parts store in hopes of finding getting transmission fluid/additive, advice, etc. and ended up at the store. Next step would be a dealership stop. Todd went out of his way to help us determine what could be the problem, including pulling up YOU TUBE videos with us outside as we tried to figure out how to check the transmission fluid for the make and model of our car (Owners Manual and dealership were not helpful). In the end it turned out to be a problem with the computer and sensors which we were able to resolve and get safely to our destination. I doubt we will be back in Ashtabula, OH, but it was nice to be the recipient of good, old-fashioned honest service from the team there. BK read more

I would recommend dealing with this store in Ashtabula. I'm a single female and don't feel uncomfortable entering the store or asking any questions or having one of the free services that they offer. There's an employee there that went out of their way to help me out, which was greatly appreciated. I will definitely be doing more business with this store read more

Scheduled to change 4 tires on my car at 10am. Arrived at 940am the tech stated a hour and a half…read moreto a hour and forty five minutes. Ended up waiting till 1230pm for them to finish. If you have time to burn get your tires done here.

We dropped car off for an oil change. Tech stated it would be about 20 minutes and they'd call over…read morethe PA system our name. Started browsing in the store, finish browsing. No call over the PA (in half hour's time). We make our way back to the automotive service desk and a different tech prints off a sheet that states. "Cancelled: Couldn't get oil cap off". He also stated that previous place we got our oil change at put the cap on too tight and to take it back there. I take them at their word. Get home, test oil cap myself and was able to get it off myself in about 10 seconds time. So now I'm out gas money, time and above all, a damn needed oil change. I will not go back to this place and you shouldn't either if their techs can't properly remove an oil cap. I KNOW oil changes are dead simple. However, not everyone has a garage or necessary tools which is why we pay for others to provide the service. Simply unacceptable. Edit to add: Its impossible to over-tighten these types of oil caps. There are no threads. Additionally, the tech wrote "Car has never been here before". When in fact, that is false also. Evidenced by the fact that our old address was at the top of the service order.

This deals with the Ashtabula Ohio store. I had a problem with the store employee selling me the wrong brake line a few weeks ago. The district manager corrected this error. So I gave this store another chance. Within a few days apart I was again sold the wrong parts. First I was sold the wrong tie rod end for my truck. I purchased both outer and inner tie rod ends. One was correct and the other was for a 4x4 truck. The store then give me an issue when returning the part. It was their mess up in the first place. This was the blond hair female employee.I am confused with her lack of knowledge with the computer. I did not ask for a 4x4 truck part. A few days later I went back to the store. Then the store employee that sold me the wrong brake line sold me a wrong part AGAIN. He sold me the wrong brake hardware. I even had him double check that I had the correct part. He said yes it was the right part for the Saturn Vue. I would think that I should not have to explain how much time is consumed working on a vehicle. This Ashtabula Ohio Store really adds to the work and provides unnecessary aggravation. Then the store will give the customer the run around when it comes to returning the part that they sold that was incorrect. This store has some real issues. read more
