Had my rear drivers side window smashed in on a Thursday afternoon. I called Advance Auto Glass and the manager, Vincent, told me he could see me first thing in the morning. The next morning I brought the car in and, what do you know, my base model 2017 Equinox had some rare type of window that can't be found anywhere (just my luck). However, Vincent brought me into his office and spent 30 minutes calling all of his suppliers seeing if anybody had the window (and if it wasn't local, who could get it there the fastest). He did not need to go above and beyond like he did, but his guidance was greatly appreciated. Although I did not get my window replaced at the dealership this time, I will definitely be going back for future issues. read more

Thanks Vince for helping me out! I waited way to long to get a simple cracked fixed that I got on my way back from San Antonio and it spread like wildfire. Advice: don't get a carwash after you get a chip. A small chip will grow by at least a foot. The price he charged me was fair and it took a little more than an hour. He gave me two options for glass and I picked the cheaper one. He told me they are both more or less the same and made by the same companies. I paid $220 which was far less than the other quotes I got. He told me to not get a car wash for at least 24 hrs or any other pressure washing. After reading the Yelp reviews and getting a quote from Safelight I decided to give these guys a call and very glad I did. They answered the phone on my first call, no message or call center but a real person. After giving him the make and model of my SUV he asked to call back with a quote and did so in less than 5 minutes. He gave me two options of an aftermarket or factory (Ford) built window. The aftermarket option was $195 and the Ford window was $245. Considering the Safelight quote was $408 I opted for the factory version and would still save over $150. I was able to schedule the repair for the same day and actually asked to delay the at home repair service for an hour to accommodate a previous appointment. Louis showed up on time, after he called in advance to let me know he was in route. Louise was very friendly and went to work without hesitation. I was impressed with his professionalism and the quality of the work. It started raining during the installation and he asked me to move into the garage to keep the rain off the work area and out of the truck but never hesitated to keep working. If you need any windows replaced on your vehicle, or get hit by a flying rock from a weed eater like I did, I'd strongly recommend you call these guys first. read more

Ah, the joys of construction season, when huge amounts of gravel and assorted crap will get tossed at your windshield by oversized equipment everywhere you go. And lucky me-- a piece of gravel managed to not only ding my windshield, but that ding managed to turn into a full-fledge crack before I had a chance to try and seal it up. So, off to an auto glass replacement shop I go! I got the information for A Advanced Auto Glass off of Yelp. The review were solid, and it was relatively close to home, so I thought I'd try it out. The verdict? The work itself is unquestionably good and the price is in line with what I'd expect. So, why not a perfect rating? Well, it's the little things-- most windshields aren't actually stored on location, so you have to wait for someone to retrieve it from a warehouse, adding to wait time. And speaking of waiting-- there really isn't a good waiting place at this shop, or in the surrounding neighborhood, if you want to kill time till the work is done. Something as simple as a little room with a couch and a t.v. or wifi would have made this a perfect score. Still, the work is honest and (relatively) inexpensive. Last note, as a minor warning-- the location linked on Yelp is 5014 De Milo Drive, which is the owner's home I suspect, not the address of the business. Vincent and his team are excellent! In the last 14 months he has replaced a complicated windshield on my Audi and then recently replaced a passenger windshield on my wife's Audi. STRONGLY DO NOT RECOMMEND: At 12:30 PM the technician called and said he was on his way to my house and did not actually show up until 6:15PM. I called at 3PM to ask where he was and the technician told me his supervisor put 2 jobs in front of mine. Nobody bothered calling me to let me know of the change of scheduling so I wasted half of my day waiting for them. I called the supervisor back to ask why and he was very rude over the phone and threatened to pull the technician from the job. He acted as if the job on my truck was not as important because the dealership I bought my truck from was paying for it, but the price of the windshield was factored in to the cost of the truck so I am paying for it. He also said they do not need to do a courtesy call which I found very inconsiderate. Do not use this company as there are many better and reliable options out there. read more
