This updated review is specifically for the social media team out of Jacksonville, Florida, and the local office here on Shadowridge Drive, not the Melbourne office. After my initial review shown below, I wrote to "alwaysthere@adt.com" based on the ADT business comments on another social media site. I recommend you contact "alwaysthere@adt.com" FIRST before filing a complaint on social media. You will get a much better response from this team than calling 1-800 ADT ASAP, which in my opinion is a waste of your time. This ADT social media team out of Jacksonville did a great job of resolving my issues. Within a few days, and over several emails, this office coordinated with the local Orlando ADT business site at Shadowridge Drive and rectified my situation. They issued a credit to my account for the "fuel surcharge" since I was not informed of this add-on in advance when I was told there would be no charge for the on-site visit. Kudos to Carla B. of the Jacksonville office for diligently working my issues, coordinating back-and-forth with me, and contacting the appropriate people to resolve my situation. Special thanks also to the area manager, Chris, who came out personally and delivered the tool key and provided answers to all of my questions and concerns. He even went through the Google app with me to demonstrate other options associated with my battery issue if I should experience this problem in the future. I increased my overall review of ADT to three stars based on the assistance of these two employees. The effort put forth by Carla B. and Chris made up for the frustration experienced with the installation and follow up of the Google doorbell camera. Service is horrible! Sent me a free Google nest camera for free & it didn't work! Customer service is horrible! Took me half an hour to cancel & they still charged me another month of service even though I wasn't under contract! All they know how to do is charge & they don't care if your system is working! Was nearly 4 years with them! Never again. read more

Not the old ADT!! Selling "wireless" using Safe Streets. Dont do it!! 3 year contract. I tried to get out because service doesn't work, key pads don't work, have to put batteries in outside cameras constantly ! Literally 1 year left in contract and charging me $530 to cancel! No joke! Look online for others this has happened to! Tried to escalate but they refuse to let you speak to anyone!! Because of that, I filed a complaint with BBB. We were with ADT over 20 years! Loved them. We moved and Now they are with this wireless company Safe Streets and it's gone to extortion. Don't use them!! Do your research! read more

I've been an ADT Customer since 2002 and received great service over the years until recently. I purchased a new home security system October 2025. The system was wireless with a digital keypad interface (all my older systems were buttons). The installer informed me this was a new system and he was getting acquainted with it. He repeatedly had to call another installer for advise. Since installing the new system, we've had to call ADT Customer Service at least 10 times to reset to system or we couldn't arm/unarm the security system. Recently, 5 times we've had to call the AI Agent to reset the device interface. The final straw for us is calling ADT, waiting for a live agent to request a "Monitoring Certificate" required for new home owners insurance and ADT cannot provide because they are having IT technical issues and the email system cannot provide the requested document. I honestly have no idea what has happened to ADT. I unfortunately am locked into a 3 year contract and must deal with the B.S. to the end. I'm only giving 1 star because it doesn't go as low as a MINUS 10! These creeps are the most unethical company I've EVER dealt with. They completely lie every way you can lie. Last year, I made a call to them for a quote. I called the local office. They quoted. Before they even came out, I received an in-bound call quoting me something totally different for the SAME SYSTEM. Now, I figured I'd give them another chance. After haggling over and over with the telemarketer, we 'partially' agreed to the price but he kept pushing and pushing to get a tech out there to 'install the system'. I told him I'm not satisifed with the contract length...he said, "Don't worry, you can discuss that with the tech and tell him exactly what you're doing"...kind of a shrug off and pushing a tech into my home. NOW (here's what blew my top off)...he said he simply needs a credit card to send the tech out...I said, "Don't charge my card"...he said, "you won't be charged". It's just a hold authorization. Next day...$100 CHARGE to my credit card. I then called them back and told them, (1) I DEMAND a refund of the $100, (2) CANCEL the appointment for a tech to come out and (3) take me off your call list as I NEVER will do business with ADT. Soooo, 2 days later...I get 1, 2, then finally a 3rd call of which I answered. I was very diplomatic and told here THIS is one of the 4 reasons I will NEVER do business with them ever! This company needs help! We scheduled some add on equipment and the technician was so rude and negative and had no clue what he was doing. He didn't even know where to find the technician code and I had to Google it in order to give him that code to get work started. By the time he was ready to unload his equipment and start the install, we were so upset by his attitude and rudeness that we told him just to pack up and leave. We called ADT the very same day to cancel as the add-on was going to be almost $900. We have continued to get billing notices, emails and text messages that we owe that money so I am on call number six right now to try to get this resolved. They assured me that it would be taken care of in 2 to 3 days so I am going to check back on Monday, but it is so ridiculous that you can't just call and cancel the service and not be billed for it ..what is the problem? Why is this so hard? These people are so inept and unprofessional it's not even funny. The crazy part is we've been with ADT for 25 years now and have never experienced the lack of professionalism and knowledge that we have since we moved our current house! Think long and hard about using ADT as opposed to other security systems. You will receive seriously, poor customer service and if there is an issue, all you get is the runaround continually. read more

If you want to be locked into a 5 year contract with zero customer support go for ADT. They are horrible at taking care of their customers needs and basically want you to become an alarm expert to fix your own issues. read more

They suck and delete reviews and make false claims. High-pressure sale tactics and outright rude people. They knock on your door and try to act like a friend after scaring you with lies. They are so kind to tell you Someone got stabbed in your neighborhood so we are showing up offering you the cheapest alarm know to man for free today. You don't want to get stabbed do you? God forbid if they knock on the door and an elderly person answers the door and is home alone. That's the demographic they refer to as a GOLD MINE. read more
