That several minutes would be added to the police response time in an emergency, and is not the sort of protection we thought we were paying for. To see if the delay could be a system problem, we called the local number. That got us transferred to the call center in Nashville, then to a tech there. To be kind, I will just say he was less than helpful. He did say that it didn't really matter because the average burglary is 11 minutes and police takes 20 minutes to get there anyway. That did not make me feel better about paying for years of monitoring. He also said we might want to try a different company, so we will, and you should too.
