Worst company to deal with, ever!! Cameras didn't work from the beginning and when we called to have them looked at, we were today there was a $149 fee just to have the technician come to the house and additional fees for the work done. Mind you, we were paying a monthly service fee for any services that were needed. After fulfilling our side of the 2 year contract, we called to cancel. We were told there would be no kore charges and then the next month my card was charged. Called ADT again and was told the funds would be refunded to my card. Here we are almost 3 weeks later and still no refund. Lesson learned for me will hopefully help someone in the future when they think about doing business with ADT. Don't do business with ADT. Stick to the ring or blink cameras, they work 1000% better and don't cost nearly as much. read more

Where do I start? From the beginning have had nothing but issues and mis-representation. I had someone come out about a year and a half to get the ADT deal with Ring bell, window alarm and inside camera for free but when the man came he said he couldn't give us that deal because he didn't work for ADT he was just another company that connects it. When I called ADT to cancel them and go directly to ADT they told me they wouldn't be able to cancel them and start a contract with me because they would be dishonoring them contract with the company. Well then I had to replace my transformer to my bell because the man neglected to tell me what the wattage should. That cost me for a contractor to do that. Ever since we got the bell it has said slow connection even after I upped my speed of internet. Now it records nothing moving but says it detected motion. From the beginning it would only record for 30 seconds at a time and when I finally got through with ADT supervisor he said there is nothing they can do about it. Only records for 30 seconds at a time. So if someone breaks into my house I will have 30 of time to identify their face. The camera inside my house is worthless and doesn't record at all. You really should stay away from ADT. Not an honest or worthy hone protection company at all. I only gave them one star because I couldn't give them a zero star. Find another alarm company. Do not use ADT. I have had them for eighteen months with nothing but problems. There system is so bad and the service equally terrible. I am so dissatisfied that I will pay eight hundred dollars to cancel my contract. read more

DO NOT LET ADT in your home. We had them out in Oct 2016 and today we opened a letter from a lawyer..one of the installers is claiming he slipped and fell at our home?!?! My wife was home the whole day, nobody fell nor was it ever mentioned that someone fell. When we called ADT they told us to give it to our insurance company and not to worry about it...this is the kind of company ADT is, and a slip and fall con artist is the type of person they may send to your home. Since my very "sophisticated " ADT Pulse system was installed over a year ago, my upper floor smoke detectors have gone off many, many times. In every case it was a false alarm, but ADT automatically calls the fire department before calling the home owner to see if it is an actual fire. So the poor local volunteer fire department has been to the house about five or six times at all hours. ADT has replaced all of the alarms a few times now, but it happened again yesterday, and after being prompted to confirm my address and issue, I was placed ON HOLD and then when a customer "service" rep got on the line they asked me my address and issue. Why ask me the same questions twice?? Anyhow, clueless and slow customer service, and they still won't be able to fix my problem when they come out AGAIN. I've asked them to look into replacing the three smoke detectors on my upper floor with heat detectors (I'll just buy smoke alarms, myself, that won't be monitored by ADT). Problem is that they want to charge me over $100 per heat detector, plus labor. All this for something they've been unable to fix since the system was new. When I spoke to a "supervisor" he was rude and said that a tech should be able to fix the alarms. Despite my telling him that a tech has not been able to do so, he just kept saying the same thing like a broken record. Really? This is the type of person they make a customer service supervisor? Think twice about ADT. Do you really want poor customer service and being put on hold during an emergency??? read more

So, after they decided they could not install my system and dragged their feet to get me my refund, they refunded me for the wrong amount. "So sorry, we made a clerical error," said their lovely call center rep. Just one question, "How does a company as sophisticated as they allude to being make a clerical error when processing a refund for exactly the same amount of a single charge unless they did it on purpose?" In every system I've ever used you just hit a button for the refund, you do not have clerics working in the back room with little green shades - or even clerks, any more. Go elsewhere. read more
