My mother in law (who is extremely picky about wedding florals) was thoroughly impressed with Allium Rose's work. Tamara was very responsive throughout the whole process, which put me at ease because we never even met in person! I had met with several florists across San Diego before I found Allium Rose and I was not happy with either the pricing or the flexibility or the creativity of the florists I spoke with. With Allium Rose, I spoke to Tamara over the phone, sent various images of all my florals, and she was able to understand my vision exactly. I partially DIY'd my 17 centerpieces and Tamara was able (and happy to) accommodate. She was always accessible via both email and phone and she was a pure professional the whole time. She stuck to the contract and she made it to the wedding for set up herself (instead of replacing herself with someone else). On the day of the wedding she went above and beyond by helping my wedding coordinator put the centerpieces together even though that wasn't part of her contract! My wedding coordinator really appreciated her help and was impressed with her dedication. She didn't have the mindset that she was just there to drop off the flowers and set up the arch flowers, she had the mindset of "I'm being hired to add my beautiful floral arrangements to the event and I'm going to make sure that they look beautiful with all of the other decorations, even if it takes a little more time". Her flowers were at the base of my centerpieces and she took her time to make sure that the base was covered from all angles. I received SO many compliments on how beautiful my centerpieces were and it was partially due to her efforts to cover the base all the way around. My bouquet and bridesmaids bouquets were also a unique style and they turned out beautifully! I was able to show Tamara the Pinterest picture I had found and she found a way to make it a reality!! Again, I received so many compliments on the bouquets AND I couldn't stop staring at them all night and for days after (they last about 5 days after the wedding ). My pictures wont do them justice so I'll upload the professional photographer pictures when I get them. Those bouquets really added a WOW factor to my ceremony! They were beautiful from all sides, no ones dress was stained with pollen nor did the flowers drip a ton of water down my bridesmaids dresses (horror stories I've read). They were perfect bouquets! The corsages were perfect as well! They were one large chrysanthemum and they were beautifully presented on a silver tray in the getting ready suite. She had actually brought all the flowers in vases and in floral foam so they would stay in water until needed. I was wondering how the corsages would work because the mum was very large and I was afraid that it would fall off my mother/mother-in-laws wrist. Tamara had it covered. She used a slap bracelet to secure it around the wrist as well as covered it with a satin ribbon so there was a beautiful bow on the back of the wrist that would secure it as well. It was both beautiful and cleverly designed. The boutonnières I had ordered were basic but nice. The welcome garland added a nice touch to my welcome sign. The cocktail table centerpieces were simple but added a nice touch. I'm glad I ordered them because I left some of the cocktail tables bare and they didn't look as good. The tossing bouquet was also small but sweet. Overall, I had ordered: 1 bride bouquet 4 bridesmaids bouquets 4 corsages 6 boutonnières 2 arch arrangements 17 table centerpieces (to be added to my DIYd centerpieces) 1 tossing bouquet 1 welcome sign garland of greens 5 cocktail table centerpieces I really can't express how thrilled I was with Tamara's service. I've already recommended her to three other brides and I'll recommend her to you too! She's going to be my go to person for my future florals whether they be a Mother's Day gift, Valentine's Day gift, or a treat for myself. I was very specific about my floral vision and discussed in detail with Alona several times on what I wanted. Specifically for reception, the most important floral element for me was the sweetheart table. We discussed repurposing the ceremony florals to create a full, circular arch behind the sweetheart table with additional florals around the base of the table. She had assured me we would have enough florals from the ceremony to repurpose to not only the sweetheart table, but also the welcome table/bar/cake table as well. I even bought more florals for the ceremony arch to achieve this sweetheart table vision. However, this is not what we received. On the day of the wedding, Alona's team told us the start of our reception needed to be delayed by approximately 30 minutes because they were still working on the reception florals. We waited to seat our guests because we wanted to give them the time they needed to finish. Despite the delay, the sweetheart table installation was still extremely sparse and looked unfinished. The arch behind us was mostly bare and there were only two floral arrangements on the ground. I have attached the inspiration pic we discussed and the final result. I was mortified when I saw it - it looked so bare and incomplete. Additionally, this delay threw off the rest of our reception timeline. Dinner had to be shortened so we ended up having to skip "table touching", which was something we had really been looking forward to. I was very sad and disappointed when I walked into the reception because the sweetheart table was one of the elements we had discussed in detail as I cared a lot about it. The ceremony arch had a significant amount of florals, so I am still confused about what happened during the repurposing process. I am confused where the ceremony arch flowers went, since they don't appear to have been used to create the sweetheart table installation nor were there any flowers at the bar, cake table, or welcome table. I reached out to Alona after the wedding to understand what happened. It has now been almost three weeks without a response. I would have appreciated the courtesy of at least an explanation. Paying 5 figures for florals to have the sweetheart table look like this is incredibly disappointing. When I look back at my reception photos, I get upset with how bad and bare it looked. Don't even get me started on the ceiling florals that started to fall during the reception. I highly do not recommend Chic Flowers.

She repeatedly promised quotes and proposals by specific dates and failed to follow through. While I understand that wedding season is busy, this does not excuse consistently poor communication and lack of follow-through when working with clients who are planning such important events. To illustrate, here's a brief timeline: 5/28: Alona emails me in response to an inquiry submitted to her website, asking when I'll be available for a phone consultation. I reply same-day with my availability. 6/8: No response; I follow up. 6/9: She offers a phone consultation for 6/10. 6/10: Phone consultation; she promises a proposal by the next day. 6/12: No proposal; I follow up. She promises to send by 6/13. 6/16: Still nothing; I follow up again. 6/17: Finally receive a proposal. 6/19 - 6/22: Back-and-forth revisions; budget and design issues arise. 6/24: I follow up via phone and text after no response. Still no reply as of 7/2. In the end, I chose to move forward with another florist whose communication, professionalism, and enthusiasm gave me far more peace of mind. I firmly do not recommend working with Alona if you value reliability and clear communication during your wedding planning process.

They took a very personal interest in this #greenwoodplace project and hit it out of the ballpark in so many ways.. So much attention was paid to heights and placement of fixtures and appliances to the point that the team spent hours developing what they thought was best for me before bringing me in to test their ideas. They were almost always spot on. A lot of attention was also paid to room design, furniture and rug selection to create beautiful, open spaces that would be easy to live in whilst in a wheelchair. Acacia + Spruce also project managed the remodel work. Because I am in a wheelchair, it was difficult for me to live in a hotel during the remodel and I wanted to be out of the house for the shortest feasible amount of time. Acacia + Spruce managed the a tight timeline with multiple trades and we were back in our house in an unheard of short amount of time! Finally, our home is absolutely beautiful. I find joy in every room that was touched. We love having people over to entertain but also love hanging out in all of the spaces that were created while home alone. They truly created a beautiful home for us. I could go on and on but the true testament is how much we love our home.
