Disappointed and Frustrated -- Not What I Ordered I received two entire bouquet of completely closed lilies -- nothing like the photo shown online. When I reached out for a solution that would actually satisfy me, I was told they couldn't refund me if the lilies didn't open. Instead, they offered a replacement bouquet , with a different flower. This was for a wedding party and the brides name is Lilly. To make matters worse, they called me the night before because I had placed a large order, yet failed to mention that the lilies would arrive closed. That's a pretty crucial detail to leave out. Their idea of customer service is enough to drive a person to lose their temper. When I did and hung up. She called back and chewed me out. and said. I was recorded and could not talk to people like that. I told her about freedom of speech. If you give poor customer service then you should expect your customers to get upset, They advertise next day next day service but don't expect to get good Lilies. Very Disapointed Ordered 30 roses. Could have picked up from grocery store for far less money!! The manager only supported staff. I was looking for a local place in Cincinnati to send a last minute funeral arrangement. I'm not local to Cincinnati so I searched around for a place close to the church. They were available and had some really cool items to send. I chose a wind chime instead of a floral arrangement. The prices were reasonable and I was able to get it to the church the day it was needed. I ordered like two days before the funeral and it was on time. I even received an email that it was delivered. Ordered a bouquet of Stargazer lillies for $114.90 with next day shipping. There are MUCH cheaper flower vendors with stargazers, but Adrian Durban was the only one offering next day shipping for this specific type of lily. Order comes in and it's a completely different type of lily, a much cheaper one. My receipt said Stargazer lily, the site said Stargazer lily, it was the only package out of 32 of the lilies on the site that specifically said stargazer. I have seen that it mentioned substitutions but for my prior experience with flowers, that can mean a different vase or a different filler flower or something slightly different than what was shown in the picture. It does not mean I completely different type of main flower that has a different smell in different color and is the same product from one of their much cheaper packages (except I was charged twice as much). I had emailed them which they told me to call and I was pretty much told too bad, we said there could be substitutions, next time when you order say no substitutions. No offer of a refund, no offer sending the correct flowers when they're available, no effort to retain a customer base. Just pretty much sucks you got screwed over, order with us again in the future. So then they have the call to tell me that oh it was worth the same amount, even though they have packages on their site how much cheaper amount, in value is completely up to one's own interpretation. if I could buy the same lilies they gave me for $20 somewhere else and they charged me $100, then it's not the same value. And being it's not the flowers that I ordered, it has zero value to me because it's not something I ever would have bought. Needless to say, I called my bank immediately and disputed the charges. read more

I ordered Valentine's Day Roses for my sweetheart last year. The bouquet was beautiful. Unfortunately, the driver just dropped them off in the outer hallway at an unattended desk where they sat for hours, until someone happened to pick them up and brought them in to the reception desk. They could have been just as easily picked up and taken away by anyone. I called to make a complaint the next day. The manager told me that she talked to the driver. Great florists that can put together an excellent arrangement without much input. I stopped in on a Thursday to buy flowers for my girlfriend's show on Saturday evening. I told the clerk that I had forty dollars to spend and that I wanted the gay-pride bouquet in a vase. They said "no problem". They offered to deliver but I prefer to handle these kind of things on my own. They weren't open in the hours preceding the show, but offered to leave the flowers at the restaurant next door for me to pick up. Now that's service! I picked up my flowers from Biaggio's the day of the show. While some of the younger folks at the restaurant didn't have a clue what I was doing, I found my arrangement with little trouble. An exquisite panacea with every color of the rainbow, in an elegant clear vase. It also had a good size. My girlfriend was ecstatic to receive it backstage before her show. Before realizing the flowers were for her, she thought they were the best that anyone had received for the show! So, kudos to Adrian Durban for putting me in her favor. My only reluctance in using them again would be price. While you get a high quality product, $60 seems like a high price for a dozen roses. Then again, my experiences in buying flowers are largely limited to whatever is available at Kroger, which is certainly not of the same quality. read more

While I had previously written about a positive experience with this florist, I decided to re-visit due to a lackluster experience. I ended up purchasing a coupon for the florist which gave you $20 for the price of $10. I needed a bouquet for a special occasion and was excited to get a good deal! I went in to order my flowers the week before. I ended up spending my $20 gift card and an additional $5 for a total of $25 which I asked the florist to use to make a bouquet. I asked for a Monday pickup around noon. On Monday, I called at 11AM and they had no record of an order from me. I ended up walking them through how much I paid, what I paid, and when I ordered the flowers. Eventually, the woman on the other end told me they would be ready soon and I hung up. My roommate picked them up for me and when I got home I was sorely disappointed. There were 3 lilies, 2 daisies, and a TON of leaves. I was irritated because I was in a hurry to get to the event, but I could not give this barren "bouquet" of flowers to anyone. I stopped by Kroger and picked up a variety of additional flowers for about $7.00. Luckily, I was able to add these to the flowers I received from Adrian's to make a rather decent bouquet. I assume the coupon may have influenced their decision to go light on the flowers. This past week I went to Kroger to attempt to make my own flowers for a friend that was hosting a party. I got about 6 lilies, 3 hydrangeas, a bouquet of daisies, and a vase for $26. I will be skipping this place from now on and making my own creations using the beautiful selection of inexpensive flowers that Kroger on short vine has to offer. I suspect that they would be a good fit if you were looking for large orders, but unfortunately the value was not as great as I thought for everyday arrangements. read more

II do not recommend Adrian Durban Florist. I live out of town and ordered a $76 arrangement for my daughter. The picture showed a beautiful arrangement with 7-8 roses . What my daughter received was nothing like the picture. It had one rose and a loose arrangement of flowers that I would probably pay $35! for in a store. I cthem to tell them A girl named Linda at the florist told me that the arrangement my daughter received looked like that in the picture I saw because my son in law took the picture and he wasn't a professional photographer She said I needed to look at it from all 4 sides to see what it looked like. I'm very diappointed about the flowers they chose because they don't match the picture except for the few yellow roses! They didn't include that eucalyptus and instead put in a cheap leaf. It's supposed to have a dozen roses in it and it had few which were overwhelmed by the big sunflowers instead of small mums. The arrangement looked very disheveled. read more

I'm extremely disappointed that someone very important to me loss their child and I ordered a standing spray to be delivered to the funeral home, the day before the funeral. My intent was to let the family know we are thinking of them while they had their private viewing and could see the arrangements. I'm so disappointed that this florist chose to do their own thing and deliver to the church the day of. That was not the agreement or the intent. They didn't send a picture of the arrangement either. The Behnkens flowers are more unique, diverse, eloquently arranged and expensive. My husband ordered both. I make this rating based on customer service. The flowers sent by Adrian Durban have always been fabulous. I placed an order that was out of town. Knowing they farm those out, I assume they will use a quality florist that meets their standards. My friend receives the flowers, sends me a photo with a thank you and I am speechless! Flowers look nothing like the photo represented on the website, plus I paid to upgrade with more flowers. They were wilted and turning brown and arrangement was much smaller than it should have been. I had someone else send a new arrangement, because they were closed by the time they were delivered. So I attempted a call to the actual florist that delivered. according to hours, they should have still been open, but I received an answering service. I also placed a call to a different location of ADF and she was very nice, said she would send my info to the office and have them call me on Monday. No Call from them and no call from the actual florist that made the delivery. I ordered with Adrian Durban, I paid Adrian Durban, I am very disappointed by Adrian Durban. They refuse to refund my money. They tell me it is my responsibility to deal with the florist that sent the flowers. This is wrong! Adrian Durban, you just lost a long time customer! I've been the recipient a few times now and it has been an epic failure each time. One time, the delivery person called me several times within 2-3 hours because he couldn't find my home which has been on the map for 5 years and no one ever has an issue finding. Then today I received the ugliest bouquet I've ever seen. The instructions were for contactless delivery. Not only did the delivery girl knocked until I finally had to open, but she also didn't wear a mask. The flowers delivered to me were not the flowers that were ordered. The order was for a large and tasteful bouquet in a clear square vase, and I was delivered a small bouquet in a... snowman vase! It's obvious this is not only NOT an honest business but they obviously pay a very low wage to their employees. Such a shame! read more

I had prom this weekend and ordered my 3 boutonnières and one corsage on the phone. We had previously gone inside the store to see examples of what they would look like (2 blue boutonnières and 2 matching cream corsage and one boutonnière). The images and what they had on hand looked AMAZING. What we ended up getting, the same day as prom, was completely different than what we saw. My corsage was a slap bracelet which they said was going to be a nice silver sparkle wrist band and my flower pedals the whole night were falling off. The 2 blue boutonnières ended up being purple and didn't even make it through pictures, they were falling apart and by the end of taking pictures were just stems. On all of them the leaves were plastic and poorly put together. When we went the next morning for a refund we weren't greeted as customers and were yelled at for even coming. We were threatened to get the cops called on us and were told we would get HALF our money back but ended up with $25 out of the $60 we paid. This has been the worst experience I've ever had and highly don't recommend it. read more

I specified, very sternly to get my point across, for the delivery person not to say anything about who the delivery was from.
