Amazing service! I've honestly gone back 3x now and there's a reason I come back to these guys! They are very knowledgeable about both piercings and tattoos, everyone that works there you can easily talk to. My nipple piercings have been a rough ride. I didn't get them pierced at Adrenaline (first mistake lol, I got them pierced in Halifax on a whim during a trip). But here's where the good people at Adrenaline started to take care of me... One got infected and I needed a larger barbel. They changed that out and it instantly felt better! More room to breathe *never had issues with this nipple again*. Other nipple ring fell out and I didn't notice (due to some activities lol); tried to put it back in myself and that didn't work - I almost contemplated leaving it out but nah. Went to Adrenaline and they put it back in, beauty. NOW it started to act all brand new and decided that it too needed some breathing room, so I came back and had it changed to a new barbell (shoutout to Luke). Bottom line up front: some of the best customer service of any kind, anywhere I've had. At 40 something, I just got my first piercings ever: lobes, with 12 gauge rings. Xmas present from my bestie. This was our second choice store, because when we went to Chronic Ink, which was closer, my friend got a lot of attitude plus we were told they could not put rings into an initial piercing, only studs, and you had to come back in eight weeks for the rings. Obvious upsell, so we left. Bestie is a mature gent but has a whole lotta metal in his body, so was not prepared to have less than the best. At Adrenaline, we were greeted within a minute of arriving even though it was busy. We explained what we wanted, and were told absolutely they could do it. The piercer, Matt, was friendly, funny, professional, and quietly reassuring as my buddy tried to razz me. He went over what he was going to do; he made sure we could see everything was in sterile packaging; he marked where things were going, and in general made sure it was a smooth process. Back up at the front, the cashier was patient as a Visa gift card my friend was using wasn't going through at first. On Friday December 8th I walked into the shop nervous as all can be on my 20th birthday to get my first tattoo! The moment I walked in there with my boyfriend everyone was so welcoming. We asked if anyone had time for walk ins and everyone was BEYOND stoked to work with us. I was set up with artist Joe Baker and explained to him the piece I wanted. Within 45 minutes Joe whipped up a beautiful custom piece and I could not be more happy with my first tattoo. Joe was amazing and made me feel so comfortable during the entire process. Made a yelp just to tell you not to go to this shitty place. I decided to get a simple line tattoo, smaller than the size of a thumb. Tyler was unapproachable, and unlike every other tattoo artist I've worked with. He not only criticized my previous tattoos, but he went way too deep and my tattoo wouldn't stop bleeding. He didn't talk about the sterilization process or any other aftercare instructions. His placement seemed off so I questioned him and he gave me attitude. Pardon me for caring about the permanent placement of my tattoo. I called the studio hours later because I wasn't sure of their aftercare process, as they told me they use a "brand new derm wrap" and with Tyler's sloppy job it was filled with blood. I usually get my piercings at New Tribe, but they were booked solid so I gave Adrenaline a shot at doing my 2nd ear lobes, cause how bad can you mess up ear lobes right? Apparently a lot. Luke did my 2nd ear lobe piercings and he was really nice and they looked fine when he did the marker placement in the mirror, but after piercing with the needle, they're horribly uneven!! How do you mess up this bad?Have to let these heal over and get them re-pierced at New Tribe now. Not only that, but they use posts that are way too short and the back of the posts are too small so it's real easy to have many issues with healing! Do yourself a favour and go across the street to New Tribe. Also New Tribe is cheaper. I forgot to ask the price when getting these at Adrenaline and never expected the cost of 2 earlobes to be $100! Came here on St. Pattys with some friends for the $10 discount on piercings cause it can be pricey. My friends got a smiley, a septum and a cartilage piercing. The staff are really friendly upon arrival are very straight forward about the process and any questions you have. They also give you a bit of salt and tell you how to take care of your piercings with alloted healing time frames, and to call if you have any questions. The ball on my friends septum piercing fell off while walking to the subway and they replaced it immediately when we went back. The worst service ever. Came here to switch out an earring for $60 and the the whole procedure was done in less than 30 seconds, without any cleaning done. As I knew it was irritated - why I came in the first place to get it switched to a titanium - I had to ask him to clean it before he rushed me out of the place. He only did so by taking a dry cotton swab and poking around it for a second. I immediately checked on it in the mirror and there were visible crusts around the ear and the earring. I was expecting a complete and thorough service for the price I was paying, but instead got a trash service that was rushed. read more

One of, if not -the- most welcoming and comfortable piercing and tattoo shops I've ever been in. I've spent my fair share of time in tattoo shops as I have quite a few tattoos and a few piercings, and the atmosphere is generally "holier-than-thou," "you're not rad enough to be in here," and "I'm doing you a big favor by even working on you." The staff at Adrenaline was incredibly open and welcoming, not at all judgmental like some of the other shops I've had experiences with. I went to Adrenaline on a whim with a friend to accompany her for a septum piercing. Right when we walked in the staff were very friendly and helpful. They made us feel comfortable. The studio was very clean and explained how to us how to take care of the septum piercing. When I asked about a tattoo, they sent Chris (tattoo artist) to me and he let me choose the font and was very easy to work with. While setting up the chair, Chris was making us feel comfortable with some general chatter. When it was over he explained how to care for the new tattoo. Adrenaline also has a very informative website that explains the process and aftercare of the piercings. When you first walk into this place the store they have on the main floor is awesome. They have a huge selection of jewelry for your new piercing or existing piercings. They even have some clothing too that was pretty cool. If you've never seen anyone get a tattoo you can watch from the front window. They have a chair set up and usually someone sitting in it getting some ink done. I went here for my first tattoo and I liked the place but the guy who did my tattoo had a bad attitude. Before you get your tat done you'll talk to someone and show them what you want. The guy I spoke with knew everything and told me what was going to work and what wouldn't work as far as my design goes. I've heard some horror stories where they didn't do this and after a while the tattoo didn't look so great because you couldn't see the details. Anyways, from there this guy took my friend and I upstairs where they do the tattooing. The whole place is really clean so you can feel confident going to get some ink done there. Now the guy who did my tattoo seemed like a nice guy..till afterwards when my friend and I overheard him talking to another artist saying that he just finished "2 f!*king small pieces (my friend and i both got one done) which are a waist of my time." His friend replies to him "f!*k that, you should see the sh!t I'm working on, it's no better." So had I heard the guy say this before we would have gone somewhere else to get them done, but if he was really going to wine like a little girl he should have just said he wasn't going to do them. No big deal. So besides the attitude of the 2 artists there I'd say overall it was a good experience. I wouldn't go back though. I'd say go to New Tribe or Yonge St. Tattoos. read more

I have very mixed feelings about this place. The staff can be rude- sometimes youre stuck standing around not knowing who to talk to while the staff chats with their friends - which you cant tell apart. Sometimes, youre greeted by someone right away. Their staff turn around here is..alarming. I've never had the same piercer twice. When I ask about ____ who did mine (or a friends ) last time, they will say they no longer work there - this has happened with 3 or 4 different piercers, all within a year. I got my vertical labret pierced here a year ago, and it was wonderful. The girl who did it was sweet,and spent a solid 20 minutes making sure it was at a proper angle - asking me to make different facial expressions to see how it would sit. My navel was a whole other experience. The girl (Ash i believe?) was rushing us, and not very nice. she marked it and didnt give me a chance to check it out in the mirror - which ended up being VERY crooked. She also pierced it too deep(length wise), and the jewelry she put in was subsequently too short and has made healing extremely difficult. I had to go through the (painful) experience of getting it changed at another shop. She also was quite offensive when I asked why she wasnt using clamps. She said "GOOD piercers dont need clamps, and a GOOD piercer knows theyre dangerous." Like she was insulted i had asked. Sorry, but all of my other piercings at this shop had clamps used so I was confused? Overall very hit and miss. I have a perfect vertical labret from them, and a crooked too-tight navel. read more

This is the place that I received my first ever tattoo, and honestly, I only went because I heard everybody loses their 'tattoo virginity' at adrenaline. Let's start with the good stuff first. The shop outside is really fucking cool- they have people getting tattooed in the window, and it just looks like a sick shop. The first time I've ever been here was for my belly button piercing. The parlour is very sterile and clean, you get your own individual room to be tattooed in and everything is in order. That's an A+ for them. Plus, the artists all seem to know what they're doing and they have some AMAZING people there: was glancing through Alannah Mule's portfolio and WOW! The customer service is also really good, almost every time I've been inside, I've been greeted in a friendly manner within a minute. ...And ready? Time for the bad stuff. The only time where I don't think there was good service was once in the winter, I went in to ask for a tattoo quote and a male was there and didn't really respond to me until I said 'excuse me' twice, to which he replied 'what?' and after I showed him my tattoo idea, he was like "you know that can't be the actual size." .....well no shit, I'm on my damn iphone! He just gave off a bad vibe and made me feel dumb for asking. I absolutely hate being intimidated in tattoo shops especially- if I knew more, why would I even ask?? On top of that, the tattoos are WAY overpriced, especially if they know you're a newbie. Not sure about the personally designed ones, but I know if you want a few words or something and it's your first, they'll way overcharge you. I got a triangle slightly bigger than a toonie and it ended up being $140. My boyfriend got a tiny lightning bolt on his finger (...clearly not much room there) and it was also around the same. Go mostly anywhere else, and they should charge you shop minimum. C'mon, it's a tiny pic that any artist can do... I guess if you're going, try it once for the experience and then I'm sure you can find a place more worth it after. read more

Yikes is all I have to say. I've had positive experiences having jewelry changed here twice(both times New Tribe was closed and it was an emergency), but every other time I've been in to look for jewelry or ask for a tattoo quote it's been a fiasco. Positive: + Had jewelry changed here after losing a ball, and got a great price on a custom short barbell for my anatomy. Given the prices I've seen there the other times I looked, I'm surprised at the price I paid two years ago for that barbell. + Had helix jewelry changed after a nasty snag that left my ear extremely swollen and sore. I brought my own stud and they changed it quickly and without issue. Negative: - In general, bedside manner is terrible. Artists have no qualms about complaining to you about other customers, or complaining about customers loudly in the lobby, which is obviously VERY unprofessional. Don't like that and for that reason alone I will not be having any work done there in the future. - Oddly shitty jewelry selection despite the sheer quantity available. I came in to look for a cute jewelled stud for my helix and the only thing I could find was a white coated one with a poor quality jewel, and the price was $40. I could find something of great quality on BAF for half that. I asked if they had anything internally threaded and was met with a blank look. I had a look at some other items and everything was externally threaded, which is a little ridiculous, given how much better internal threading is in terms of both quality and ease of wear(at least in my experience). - Came in for a tattoo quote around the same time of the first jewelry change I had done. Price quoted for a small text piece seemed exorbitant(I was quoted $240) so I shopped around some more. Brought the same design to Pearl Harbor Gift Shop, Passage, and Speakeasy, and was never quoted more than $120 at any other shop. I know that you get what you pay for, good tattoos aren't cheap and cheap tattoos aren't good, etc, but those are all excellent shops and to be frank, for the size of the piece, that quote was ridiculous. Overall, I don't think I'll ever be back here, unless I have another jewelry emergency. read more

I kind of like it at Adrenaline. I find that they have pretty friendly staff - and I value customer service a lot. If you're not covered in tattoos and piercings, you may have to be a little proactive in the beginning and initiate a conversation with a sales staff in order to get some help, but I've received eager help each time I asked for it. I had a piercing done here and I'm happy to report it was a pleasant experience. I won a gift certificate at a Pride event one year which entitled me to one piercing worth up to $60 (what a sweet deal!). I didn't make an appointment but was able to get a female piercer right away, which was awesome. My piercing cost a little more than $60 but they processed this gift certificate without a problem and I just paid the difference. Super satisfied with the service. The piercer herself was super friendly and made sure I was satisfied with the potential placement of the piercing, the jewelry and the equipment before we got started. She made me feel at ease and kept me from getting anxious over the long needle. Super satisfied with her as well. Since then, I went back a couple of times to consult on my piercing and replacement jewelry and were really given good treatment. One time, the piercer on shift even took a look at my piercing to see about my concern for infection/rejection. When they didn't have the titanium barbell I was looking for, they gave me a bunch of alternate stores I could try. The only con I see with piercings here is that they overcharge. I say if you are getting a complex piercing, it may be worth it to come here where you know there is clean, sterilized equipment and experienced staff. However, if you're getting any boring ol' piercing, you could probably save some money by going elsewhere. All this talk of piercings is making me itch to go back soon!!!!! read more

What a nightmare. I phoned to book an appointment at Adrenaline to have a piercing done, and the man I spoke with seemed bothered to answer the phone. Maybe it was busy or something, but giving the impression that a potential paying customer is being a bother to you is unacceptable to me. I decided to give him the benefit of the doubt, and go in anyway. I filled out the usual sheet of info the piercer needs about myself, and whether it was even looked at is a mystery. Any other place I've been pierced at, the piercer has gone over it in front of me, and asked me questions to make sure there are no reasons not to have the piercing done. I waited a few minutes, which is standard, then was brought into the back room to get set up. The piercer, did the usual cleaning of the area to be pierced, etc. It all seemed to be going up hill from there. I was happy with the dot of there the piercing would sit, and he went ahead with getting the clamp on and piercing my face. I was told on my way out, how to go about aftercare and I was given some salt and written instructions. When I checked it out at home, I realized that the back of the piercing was sitting extremely crooked and it was essentially vertical when it was supposed to be horizontal. The jewelry was extra long to allow swelling, of course, but because of where it sat I was very uncomfortable speaking, laughing, eating, really moving my lips or mouth at all. After 11 days of oral hell, my piercing was healing just fine but I could not take the post catching on my teeth and being in the way of my speech any longer. I phoned in again, asking if it was possible to come back to have the post shortened even though it wasn't fully healed, which I knew was a long-shot. The girl I spoke with not only knew nothing about piercings, but had little to no care what so ever for my concern and discomfort. She hung up the phone after basically telling me there was nothing they could do and did not care to have me come in to have it looked at or anything of the sort. Needless to say, I found a different and actually legitimate piercing shop to take care of me, and I'm now on the road to having the piercing I wanted initially. The piercer there even referred to my medusa as a "Nightmare", because it really was. Roll the dice on your happiness if you want, but I would not wish my experience on anyone, ever. The staff is not kind at all, or at least the two girls who took care of me didn't put any effort on offering a nice customer service, I didn't feel comfortable while dealing with them. Once I went to talk with Justin (the tattooist) everything was different, he is very kind and understands your ideas even though they are not so clear at all. Although he takes a bit long to email you the sketch. Then I went for my tattoo session with him, his work is pretty nice and clean, he took a smoking break after an hour of work and took another one later on because I requested it (you can take as many breaks as you want/need with him). Overall, the tattooists make it up for the staff and make this tattoo parlor one of the best in Toronto. I would recommend this place if you don't care about the customer service, but I don't think I would come back because customer service is essential for me. read more

When I initially walked into Adrenaline I was confused. I didn't realise I was in a tattoo shop because of all the cool shwag that is for sale in the main level. They have a great selection of shirts, rings, piercings, and other things to which the tattooed community naturally gravitate. The staff were very outgoing, friendly and made me feel welcome. And the friendliness was genuine, not the usual plastic shopping mall crap. Upstairs is where the tattoos take place. There is a waiting area with comfy leather sofas and some mindless action stuff on the big TV there. As a guy who is into mindless action stuff, this is a huge bonus for me. My artist's name is Joe. He very friendly, clean, professional and funny. I found his work to be outstanding. He has a precocious talent when it comes to blending, contrast, placement and all those other tattoo related buzzwords. I now have found the artist to do my long awaited sleeve. The only downside is his work was so good, my other tattoos look pretty amateurish by comparison. Who knew? When I was paying for my ink, the owner was kind enough to give me a bottle of homemade wine. I had a choice between red or white and went with red. It was actually very good and was a nice liquid aperitif as a companion to misc bread/cheeses and garlic oil. I've had tattoos done in 4 countries and this is my first experience in my home and native land. I have no complaints and look forward to coming back for more. Further back are the private rooms. The staff are very helpful and courteous. I was looking for retainers and they had glass ones for $5 a pop. Even better, they handed them off to the piercer to put them in for me which was appreciated! From what I understand, you can also bring in your own jewelry to have them put it in for you. Very happy after my second piece done by Trevor yesterday! Again, beautiful line work, colour, precision, and an overall perfect drawing of the traditional sailor jerry type swallow I wanted on the front of my shoulder. The size and placement is perfect, and I felt totally relaxed and comfortable throughout. Could not be happier and I can't wait until the next one. As an aside, I'm pretty surprised reading some of the other reviews on here. I didn't ever have a bad experience at adrenaline, and this was my third piece done here. The staff were always friendly and very attentive. I didn't experience getting "ripped off" like some other people mentioned...I think with tattoos you get what you pay for. If you're comparing their prices to a sleazy basement parlor in Parkdale, clearly you'll be paying more at Adrenaline. That being said, Adrenaline's prices are competitive and pretty good in my eyes. I went into adrenaline to purchase a nose ring after giving up on cheaper piercings that easily fell out. I spoke to a staff member and decided to purchase "the best " nose ring on the market that was around 80$. I was fine paying the price because I knew I would not be taking it off for sometime as I would be travelling abroad for the next 6 - 10 months. I specifically asked the piercer if the piercing would come off easily because I did not want it to fall out like the cheaper alternatives that I had been using. He completely assured me that it would be difficult to remove my self and that I would have to seek professional help to get it removed. It has been less than a week since I got the piercing put in and it has already fallen out in the shower. To say I am disappointed is an understatement I am incredibly upset that I spent close to 100$ on a piercing that was not screwed in properly. Adrenaline ruined my life yesterday. I walked in and asked to talk to a tattoo artist, and that I was debating between a symbol and small text on my wrist. A scrawny, awkward male walked in, looking lost... and made me feel very uncomfortable. I was already making a huge risk, but getting permanently tattooed, and his awkwardness and insecurity made me feel worse. He told me he would go with the symbol, and started drawing out things I didn't really like. I drew my own, and he settled on that one. NOW HERE'S WERE THE STORY GETS GOOD... he starts tattooing, and I'm trying to trust this guy. I have to. It's nerve-wrecking enough, so I may as well believe in him. Well, I made a huge f***ing mistake because when he was finished- the symbol was TOTALLY different than the stencil on my hand. I ASKED HIM WHY, HOW, WHY IS IT DIFFERENT!? He said he just wanted to fill in some of the spaces. WTF. I LIKED the spaces! IT'S MY TATTOO! You have to ASK before you do something like that! I was horrified. it looked crooked, terrible, cluttered and just BAD. I had no use in yelling or screaming because there is nothing to be accomplished... ITS ALREADY PERMANENT. Granted they did let me get this tattoo for free.. but believe me that is not comforting the least bit when you have a piece of crap on your wrist that you hate... forever. The manager was then apologizing, which I appreciated, but then he went on to say that I was moving too much and that he had to draw more lines... Wow, they sure have balls. How the flying f*** could I have been moving? I was still as a rock. I don't know a single idiot that would be moving while getting tattooed. I was flat out insulted. When I got home to check out this red headed, blue eyed guy's tattoo profile on Adrenaline- HE DIDN'T HAVE ONE. Excuse me? Who the f*** did my tattoo? Pardon? I was here to get a ring for my septum. It was pricy but the service and selection was exceptional. Everyone was warm, friendly and helpful in finding exactly what I needed. The jewellery change was free and the piercer was friendly and informative the whole time. The whole thing was done in five minutes, and I was encouraged to ask any questions I had and have a good day on my way out. Great environment, not at all intimidating like some piercing/tattoo places. I love going to Adrenaline. The atmosphere there is great, the staff is super friendly and very knowledgeable. I have had no issues with any of the staff, the quality of customer service or the products they have. Perhaps I would suggest a bigger selection of larger sized clothing for women (not all of us are petite). Aside from that, I love this place. I got my Monroe piercing done here and that experience was very positive. The piercer was very professional, knowledgeable and made sure I was satisfied with every step of the process. Even going back to replace the jewelry (or having to have it taken out for surgery), the staff was really awesome, helpful and professional. I have come in on several occasions, sometimes to purchase merchandise, other times to purchase new bling. Overall the staff is ok, but there are some individuals such as Nic who clearly don't care. He did my last piercing and I'll never let him come near me with a needle again. Firstly, after signing my consent form and talking to a really nice girl about the piercing I planned to get, she led me to the back to Nic. He was indifferent, and while that didn't really bother me, he ended up marking the wrong part of my ear. When I looked in the mirror and noticed this, he started ranting about how most of the people who work in the shop have no clue what they are doing but since they are friends with the boss, have jobs there (he was blaming the girl at the front). He completed the piercing and I left. However, after having some minor issues with the piercing I went back 4 weeks later. He gave me some instructions to use aspirin, but mostly shrugged and said my body is rejecting it or I am adding too much salt to my sea salt soaks when I asked further questions. He showed no kind of human emotion, or interest in the work. This has been the case on several occasions and I try to avoid him as much as possible and chat with some of the more friendly and interested staff. All I have to say is .... if you're going to get a tattoo and want it done RIGHT and like no other place in toronto go see RAIDEL at adrenaline!!!! I originally had an amaZing tattoo artist in Kensington (Vince) who unfortunately moved back to Venice, Italy. Fate brought me to the hands of the very talented RAIDEL! His passion for creative designs and art is phenomenal! He has done quite a large AMAZING piece on me and most of it he just did FREEHAND (That is talent!) The thing I LOVE the MOST about his many talents is the fact that he has something that I find is SO RARE in a tattoo artist... he can create that FLOW into making your tattoo not look like a stamp ... but a part of you... an art that can even take previous pieces and make them one! I have about 1 3rd or fourth of my body tattooed and this tattoo SAVIOUR turned my several prior tattoo pieces (ribs, shoulders upper back) and with his new addition turned my body into a canvas with one solid flowing united piece. Brilliant engineer in designing. Adrenaline is quite pricey ..but if you are getting it done with him IT'S WELL WORTH IT. If I wasn't so broke ass I would give him a HUGE TIP as appreciation for his VERY hard work and TALENT! I intend to repay him some day by surprise for the lack of the TIP he deserved that I didn't have at the time. I got my nose piercing done today and everything was sanitary. My piercer was very helpful and explained the types of jewelry to me and remarked my nose when I asked for it to be adjusted! This is my GO TO place for piercings and tattoos. I can't even remember how many piercings and re piercings I have gotten here - but the staff are super friendly and the store is always so clean! For my last tattoo I have on my finger I was turned away from another place because they didn't do "visible" tattoos but Adrenaline took me in and realized it was my decision! Although they did warn me it wouldn't last long - but 3 years later it's still pretty vivid - can't beat that! read more

I don't trust my skin to be pierced or inked by any other, the people that work here are awesome and make sure you're always informed on how to best take care of your piercing and/or tattoo People may complain about prices, but I think between the quality of work they do and the welcoming environment of the store, you will always be getting your moneys worth and the some! :) And before I forget huge thank you to Brody for taking time to do my tattoo's touch up, it was my free touch up and it wasn't even you that did the original Thanks for being kind and filling in even though you could have spent that time doing a tattoo that wasn't free Just shows how awesome this place is! read more

Went here for a spur-of-the-moment tattoo, and although it's a cool shop, I wouldn't recommend it. Yes, I expect a long wait for walk-ins, especially in a touristy shop like this... but if they tell you the artist is ready and you'll be back there in 10 minutes, you shouldn't end up waiting an hour. I also should not have been charged $90 for a tattoo the size of the tip of my thumb (a basic leaf literally printed off google images, so not even anything original). I try to avoid the bougie overpriced shops like this, but I was right across the street and it seemed like a decent shop. But, hey if you have cash to blow this is place for you! read more

I know everyone knocks this place as being for noobs, but I had a fantastic experience here. I had previously had piercing and ink done at the Montreal location with excellent results, so when I decided to get my earlobes repierced (had them done as a kid and never healed so let them grow over) I decided to check out the TO location. From start to finish my experience was great. I phoned the day before and the girl I spoke to was very helpful and answered all my questions, and when I walked in she remembered our conversation immediately and referred me to Whitney, the piercer who was on duty. She was very skilled and did a great job, was even able to repierce directly over the old scars. Everything was clean and sterile. Also I sometimes feel that if you are getting something "tame" done in tattoo shops you can sometimes be treated differently, but I didn't feel like that was the case at all. Thank you Whitney and while I'm not planning on putting any more holes in myself, I would definitely consider getting any future tattoos done here. read more

Adrenaline - Tattoo Near Me - Toronto, Ontario

Firstly, I want to say that I have an anxiety disorder. Going places and doing something new is very difficult for me. After looking at piercings online for several months I decided I wanted to get 3 piercings. I spent a lot of time online researching piercing shops in my area, and Adrenaline was recommended by many people. They use titanium, surgical grade stainless steel and 14k gold AND they stock excellent brands like anatometal and neometal. Sounds great right? So after doing my research I decided to do to Adrenaline to get my daith (right) and lobes (both sides) pierced. When I entered the shop I was greeted by a staff member right away. I told her what I wanted to get pierced and she brought me over to the counter to choose my jewelry. I told her I was interested in neometal or anatometal. I wanted my daith done at 16g. Then I found out that they only pierce daiths with 14g plain cbrs (no choice of jewelry) and earlobes are pierced with studs (10ish choices). Okay, I thought, once my piercings heal I can buy anatometal pieces and change them. This isn't so bad! So I agreed to get the piercings and waited about 20 minutes. I sat in the back of the shop on a comfortable sofa. Once my name was called I went into the piercing room. The piercer laid out everything in front of me. The room appeared clean and sterile. Everything was pre-packed and disposable. At this point I was so pleased with myself. Screw you anxiety, I can do this! However, things changed. When my piercer started laying out the jewelry on the table I then saw it. A piercing gun. Oh my god, I thought to myself. This can't be true. The reason I was going to a tattoo shop was to not get my lobes done using a gun. But lo and behold it was sitting right there on the table. At this point I started sweating. My heart started racing. It can't be true..it is impossible! But no, there it was, a disposable piercing gun. However, I decided not to say anything. I came this far, I was so proud of myself for conquering my anxiety and coming to the shop - so why back out now? So, once I was marked I lay down on the table. My daith was done first. Yes it hurt, but that was ok. She knew what she was doing right? Then the piercer did my lobes while I was laying down. When the piercings were finished I looked in the mirror. OH NO. Holy carp. Guess what? My daith was pierced way too shallow. It wasn't anywhere near the correct spot. It needed to be buried deep in there. Much, much deeper. Nonetheless, due to my anxiety (thanks anxiety disorder) I told my piercer that my piercings looked great. But inside, I was dying a little. I then proceeded to pick up my purse and head for cash. I paid and left the shop (and left a tip, what is wrong with me?) feeling defeated. Once I got home I cried. I removed the daith. It could not be saved. No one on earth could have saved that daith. For now, I am keeping the lobes. Although my ears were stabbed with a pointy (super dull) stud and traumatized with blunt force trauma I am too stubborn to take them out and have them done with a needle. I am going to pray to the almighty piercing gods that my cartilage heals and is okay. All and all, I feel like an idiot for coming here. I should have gone to the other expensive and well known shop on Spadina Avenue. Saving a little money to come to this shop instead was one of the worst mistakes I could have made. If I went to the other shop I would have been pierced with BVLA or anatometal. I wouldn't have traumatized my earlobes with a gun. I wouldn't have spent all of Thursday night crying while watching Netflix. Oh, and I forgot to mention that I received no aftercare package or information from the piercer. Needless to say I will not come back here for any more piercings. Well, at least I received a free lip balm at cash. Thanks Adrenaline. Final Rating: 3 stars for excellent and quick customer service, cool clothes, cleanliness, fantastic in-store music but subpar piercing practices. Prices are very competitive and reasonable. Update: 05/2016 After six weeks I had to change the jewelry to neometal titanium 3/8 labret posts. The earrings that came in the gun (Studex brand) were way to short to accommodate the swelling. Both of my ears had open wounds and were bleeding due to the earring being to short. I would not recommend coming to Adrenaline to get your ears pierced. Studex earrings are poor quality and way to short for a fresh piercing. read more

The only reason this place gets one star is because there is no such thing as negative stars. This place is awful and I will never, NOT EVER, step foot inside Adrenaline again. Here's why: I called Adrenaline on a Friday and asked to make an appointment to get some ink done on Saturday. They said they were wide open and to just walk in anytime between 2pm and midnight. Alright, no problem. So I get there on Saturday and they inform me that they do not have a single appointment available and that I should come back on Monday for my appointment. Okay, a little annoying, but okay. To make use of my time, I describe what I would like to get done and they refer me to one of their artists, Alie, who will design it for me. Apparently she's the shit (turns out she's just shit, but more to come on that in a minute). So I come back on Monday for my scheduled appointment at 11am. At noon, Alie strolls in and shows me what she has designed for me. I don't love it, she gets a little pissed off. I then describe what I do want, she redraws it and shows it to me. I'm happy with it. Then, instead of getting started, she goes and chats with the apprentice for an hour (WTF?!?!?) while I continue to wait around. 2pm rolls around (this is when my appointment was scheduled to end), and I tell her that considering she hasn't even STARTED inking me yet, we better rebook because: 1. the time I had booked with her is up and her next appointment has already arrived and is waiting for her downstairs 2. I have to be somewhere at 2pm (considering my tattoo was a 5 letter word, I didn't anticipate it would take longer than 3 hours to do so I made other plans!) Alie looks at me a little pissed off and says "Okay, you're lucky we don't charge a chicken out fee". Who's chickening out? I'm BUSY. Anyways, fine. So I reschedule for the next day (Remember, this is now day 3 of TRYING to get inked at Adrenaline). I get there and am sitting outside the tattooing room and I hear the guy who walked me up the stairs go talk to Alie. He says: "Your next client Sapna is here, how long are you going to be?" After Alie delves into a HUGE rigmarole about how she still has a ton of work to do on the client that she was in the midst of working on, she adds: "Anyways, that Sapna chick is a HUGE pain in the ass." Oh. No. You. Did-NT. I get up, march right into the room, look at everyone who is there and say "I want my money back, all of it." I'm taken downstairs where the manager Marty is all like "I'm sorry things didn't work out" to which I respond "Oh, no, they would have worked out just fine if your artist wasn't a #$@#%". And that's that. I marched out and will never, not EVER step foot inside this piece of crap tattoo parlour again. I suggest you boycott it as well, especially considering there is an amazing tattoo joint right across the street from these guys (Tribal Tattoos). That said, why would ANYONE give these fools their time of day?!?!?! Take my word for it: Save yourself the trouble, and save yourself the time - Adrenaline isn't worth either. read more
