Rip off. Quoted my parents $55 to move car about 50 feet. Moved it, then charged them $100...... And tore up the grass.

Tom's Collision is not worth the anxiety and aggravation. Even though they did a decent job on the…read morebody work of my 2018 Ford Fusion, they did not finish the engine in over 14 weeks! I have no doubt it would have been longer had I not stopped by in person and told Chris I would be there on Friday, July 11, to pick up my car, whether I drive it out or tow it out. I had AAA and another collision shop standing by. In March, right after my accident, Chris asked me what I would be willing to pay to have my car fixed. I gave him a figure, and he underbid that. (I did not have collision on my insurance at the time.) He asked for 80% up front and I paid it. He promised to have my car done by the end of April. He was making my car a priority. I was healing sprained hands and didn't go back to work until May 12. On May 9, Chris said the parts were painted but still had to be assembled. Give him one more week and he'd cover the cost of the car rental, which sounded generous, but then all the delays and deception began. It was one excuse after another. Tuesday, July 8, when I stopped in, I demanded to see my car before I left. It was buried behind a row of other cars in his lot. The hood was one piece (the damage had all been on the passenger side front), but there was no grill or headlights. It didn't look like much was done and I wondered how he was going to finish this by Friday. Of course, he didn't. He found a broken part behind the radiator and had to order it from Fords. Monday he would take it to Quick Lane for a front-end alignment. The Quick Lane mechanics found a broken control arm on the passenger side that Chris had not noticed! I paid $1,000 for the control arm and the alignment. I picked up my car at Quick Lane to find there was no AC! In this heat? Are you kidding me? I drove to Tom's Collision to collect the promised reimbursement for the last month of car rentals (8 weeks!), which he honored. Could I bring it back when I have a couple hours? No! He had 14 weeks and didn't get it done! I took it to Gorno Ford to fix the AC and paid again for these parts and services I paid to Chris up front in March. Meanwhile, I was back at Enterprise renting a car. Chris reimbursed me for the AC, but not without resistance. I thought maybe my first mistake was not checking reviews on Google before I accepted Chris's offer. Boy was I right! There are 50 reviews out here, and most of them are 1 star. He delays and deceives all of his customers and thinks he's doing us all a favor! He told me once, "My problem is I have too big a heart." Is this man living in the real world? What customers want is for a company to do their job with excellence in a timely manner and charge a fair price, not pity and the semblance of charity. When I picked up my car from Gorno's this afternoon and stopped in Tom's Collision for reimbursement for the 9th week of car rental and the AC Chris never finished, he started showing his true colors. He resisted. I demanded. He finally gave me a check for the AC but refused the car rental. He said, "I'm not the one who crashed my car!" There it is, Folks. Take your business elsewhere for your own peace of mind and for a job well done. Tom's Collision cannot provide that. And if Lyon's Towing recommends Tom's Collision, like they did to me, tell them, "Shame on you!"

Very unprofessional. I am a very understanding and easygoing individual and they had completely…read moretreated me very poorly. They are state contracted with the Michigan State Police, and that's fine, but I wouldn't ever do business with them on a personal level after my experience. Lack of understanding and communication is the biggest complaint. As a tow company contracted by the state police I'm sure they get their fair share of problem customers, but to be as rude and inconsiderate as they were when requesting information or a resolution to my problem was completely unprofessional. If it weren't for a contract with the state which has inflated rates all around I truly don't know if the business would still be in operation due to the inadequate service.

The car was supposed to be brought to my house because they don't except card. So I had to pull the cash and got a ride from the officer. And we all had the understanding that they would be at my house with the car. No they never came. So I call this morning to see how much it would be they charged 2 times the normal rate and wouldn't let the tow truck go back to pick up the vehicle. Not to mention the owner hung up 3 times when I was trying to find out the price they are rude people there never would I wish on my worst enemy that they get towed by them

The owner (the tall guy) only wants your money so he can buy more weed. Doesn't care about your problems at all. He's always smoking and eating edibles which is why the work probably takes sooooooo long; and to top it all off the work only lasts like a month maybe 2 tops! When you bring your car back in they try to tell you it's not what they fixed before and charge you for it... Plus their 2 workers only care about money and fixing the actual issues with the cars and they just tell you what you want to hear. It's pathetic in all actuality. Avoid this garage at all costs or you'll be losing out on money, time and your car still won't work. Great job Jamie and giant thumbs down!!!

So my buddy Matt needed a car (he wanted to purchase) inspected. We were looking for a auto care…read moreplace that would do a relatively cursory inspection. See if anything is coming up, etc. Well we first visited a mechanic called Flat Rock Auto Care. Pretty nice people, but we were in a hurry and they couldn't get to the car for several days. So we looked up Auto Care and boom - Loving Auto Care just down the street. This time, we decided to call. "We're buying a car and wanted to know if you do inspections." "Yeah." "How much do you charge for a pre-purchase inspections like that?" "Not too much; why do you ask?" Seriously? "Well lots of places charge different prices for that. Can you get to it today if we came now?" "Eh... Sure. Come on down." The funniest part is that my friend rolled with it and said, "Yeah. Let's give it a shot." So we entered in the wrong way. There is a really rocky driveway. And when I say driveway, it's like the Monster Truck rally course in the Himalayas - not suitable for 4 door car. But we figure we entered through a service area and pulled in trying to avoid a maneuvering tow truck. The first thing I noticed when we entered was the dilapidated, run-down "lobby". Clutter everywhere. Two couches that have seen things that can never be unseen. A ripped and torn map of the Detroit area from the 80's, a miter saw on the ground, and a jar of snack-sized peanut packets for the customers, but believe it or not, we just took it stride because it's almost par for a stereotypical weird mechanic shop. Matt says to me, "Dude. There are chickens in the back." I thought he was being metaphorical because no one would come and talk to us. But no. Seriously. Chickens walking around this shop. You could hear them cackling around the shop. Weird and hilarious. This grizzly, eager man comes in and almost yells to Matt, "Give me your keys!" Matt asked, "How long is this going to take and how much will this be?" But the man insisted "I don't know. He told me to get the keys and take it back." "Who did?" "Just give me your keys," and... Matt just kind of let it happen and I winced a little bit when he reluctantly put them in the grizzly porter's hardened, blackened hands. He didn't know what to do. And as the car disappeared, Matt kept asking other people in the shop for some clarification on time and cost. "Can I speak to the mechanic?" It felt like that moment when someone is asking for the chef. You have to ask multiple people before he'll show his face. Finally he came over and asked, "What do you want?" Matt reiterated what he had been asking: How much and how long? No one seemed to know. Finally after several questions, the mechanic replied, "Eh. 5 minutes? 6 minutes? 15-20 minutes? Probably... Twenty-five bucks." It felt like we were on a southern version of The Price is Right. Matt asked what kind of inspection that would entail. Eventually, the mechanic reeled off some typical mechanical jargon, but Matt wasn't being assuaged. Now as the car is parked in the back I look at Matt who is wide-eyed, still staring at the chickens and the people in the shop and he is rudely asked by the same porter, "Wait. So you want to get the car inspected?" I can only assume that this was his last straw. These people had no clue what they were doing, and Matt didn't feel comfortable being yelled at. "I'm so sorry. No. We're going elsewhere. Can I have the car back?" "Yeah, sure." It was such a bizarre experience I couldn't help but burst into laughter as we left. "We're going to Firestone." I had to swallow my opinion on the matter, but agreed even Firestone would be way better than this place. I would probably not recommend this place. Everything about it seems... Off. It's times like these where I wish I had a camera crew following me. It would make for some very interesting television. Also, as were leaving the [owner?] stopped us and flagged us and asked, "Did you get your car inspected?" "Uh, no." "Okay." The insinuation is that we got the car inspected within the 5 minutes we were there. Bizarre. Also I'm giving this 2 stars because the chickens made me laugh.

I could not believe how rude Joey Groat was, I put my credit card down to pay he threw it on the ground with my keys and told me to get the fuck out of his shop. I can't believe how I was treated, his dad would've never treated anybody like that. Good luck groat brothers with your business going forward m. I hope people read this and take their business elsewhere.
