I was very worried about her situation and her wellbeing because of all the stories you hear about nursing facilities for the elderly. I was more so concerned as I live out of state and wanted to make sure that my grandmother was at a place where I knew she would be taken care of. Cleanliness-- While I was in LA- I visited numerous facilities to see if there were any options for a place closer to family, so that my aunts were able to go visit her more frequently. I was really surprised at how many facilities were just down right-- dirty. MCC seems to be cleaner than most places I've seen and researched. I was relieved to know that my grandma was here and not at 98% of the places I saw. Employees-- I noticed that this place might be a little short staffed but when I addressed any concerns or worries about my grandmother's comfort and needs, there was always someone there to accommodate and listen to what I had to say. So for the amount of staff they have and the amount of patients they have -- I can tell they try their best to make sure everyone is happy there. Especially, the RN Rachel-- she is very sweet and good at what she does. I call over to the facility a few times a week to see how my grandmother is doing and when I speak to her-- she tells me in detail how my grandmother is doing-- such as, what she did that day, how much she ate, if she has been responsive to certain things, etc. Rachel keeps me relieved that my grandmother is taken care of. Of course, you would want to see your loved one at home and not at a facility. However, when your loved one is someone like my grandmother where she has Alzheimer and is in need of 24 hour care, you want to make sure they are at a facility that cares for their patients and that they receive the care they need. It is true-- it is your responsibility to keep up to date about your loved one in any facility. But, it does give me relief that my grandmother is here and not at many other facilities because I know that most of the workers I've met while I was there seemed attentive and cared for their patients. My grandmother's stay is still relatively new there -- I will update if anything changes. But, for now- I am happy with the service provided here for my grandmother.

Nurse "forgot" to give me doctor ordered pain medication after a major surgery. How can a nurse forget? It's in the computer! No water for 2 days. Had to buy my own water and have it delivered. I saw a male CNA trying to sexually assault a patient. A patient in same room as me fell out of her bed hitting her head on the floor. No one responded to a call light. No one helped. I had to call!! They ignored me at the reception desk. A called every 20 minutes until th paramedics came to take the patient to the hospital. The receptionist held my food at the desk that I had delivered since I wasn't fed. Another patient was moaning for 4 hours. No one responded to her call light. I had to order food from restaurants since the kitchen forgot to feed me. I lost 17 pounds due to starvation in a mere 10 days. It is very unhealthy when you are recovering from surgery to be starved. No one should be forgotten about. The social worker worked sole my commode. Both Illegal and despicable. I was told I could not leave facility. They tried o keep me against my will. Never send anyone here that you care about. Did you watch the film, 'One flew over the coo coos nest' ? This place is worse!!

Now my son is working and goes to school, when he came to crossroads he was using meth and doing self destructive things. Crossroads also educated my husband and me with family classes that continue to this day, they didn't just give him a certificate and send him home. Like so many other rehabs he went to. After he completed the program, my son was able to transition to a working sober living where he worked and still attended classes until he was ready to transition home. We prayed and prayed for so many years, God has truly blessed my family with Crossroads.

The individualized treatment approach helps to create a program designed to achieve sobriety and success, as well as appropriately addressing mental health disorders. We specialize in (MAT) Medication Assisted Treatment and couples in treatment. Our Rehab Treatment Program While we customize our treatment program to each individual patient, there are some parts of the program that are the same for all patients. Patients that undergo our program, move into our facilities for the duration of the treatment and only have limited and supervised interaction with the outside world. This is not done to punish our patients, but rather to assure that every interaction they experience during the treatment process is focused towards recovery. Rehab treatment programs are of varying lengths depending on the addiction level and recovery progress of the patient, but they are rarely less than 30 days and usually no longer than 90 days, although it's not uncommon for some to be 120 days. During that time, in addition to clinical therapy and addiction education, as well as family education and life skills needed to assure success after treatment...

A Heartfelt Thank You to an Amazing Healthcare Team at the Monterey Park Convalescent Hospital…read more Our family is deeply grateful for the care my father-in-law received at the Monterey Park Convalescent Hospital when he suffered from a stroke. It was a challenging time for us, but the warmth and dedication of the staff made all the difference. We found them on Medicare.gov with 5 stars rating and they definitely deserve this rating. They also have multilingual staff on board which was very helpful for my father-in-law. Starting from the administrative staff (Veronica, Leticia), and Social Worker (Ms. Bi) were very responsive to our calls, very knowledgeable and informative, resourceful accommodating, and always ready to help. The nurses (Sarah, Daisy, Vicky, Socorro, Angela, Fei, Jessica, Agnes, Elia, Mel, Daniel, Rose, Divine, Zenny, Hannah, and several others); nursing assistants (Maria, Alex, Moses, Gloria, Lupe, Juan, Linda, Yolanda, Vilente, Maple and several others); physical therapists (Rowena, Sue, Rosa, and several others); nutritionist (Norma and staff) were all highly skilled but also incredibly kind and loving, patient, and accommodating. They worked as a team and tirelessly helped my dad 24/7. Every aspect of his care was handled with compassion and professionalism. From medicine feeding, incontinence changes, careful bathing, to well-prepared and personalized meals assessed by the oral therapist and nutritionist, and laundry cleaning, they took good care of him. They also kept us informed every step of the way, providing timely updates on his condition. Beyond medical care, they also created a warm, welcoming environment. The facility was kept cleaned and well maintained, and they thoughtfully decorated the place for every holidays making it felt like home. In addition to medical services, they create a warm, welcoming environment. The facility is kept clean and well maintained, they are decorated for the holidays and with caring staff, it makes it feel like home. We truly appreciate everything the whole team has done for my father-in-law. Their dedication and kindness will always be remembered. Thank you!

Then they leave you soaking wet to get clothes. Imagine how cold that is. The last time: Grandma's condition got worse and was transferred here from the ER. She couldn't move, so they had to turn her every few hours. After a few days, they called to say "you gotta take her back to where she came from. she isn't like this the last time she was here and she is too much work. wherever she was before, take her back now." I said she had been home but now she needs professional help since she is still on IV and we don't know how to do that. Few days after that initial call, we got a call on a Sunday night and they said she stopped breathing. I said what? The lady on the phone said she stopped breathing and now we sent her to the ER. When I saw the ER doctor, he said "her condition wasn't that bad to a point that she would die. something happened at the nursing home". I was there when she woke up from the coma, and she was in such terror like she woke up from a terrible nightmare like the end of the world. I don't have to be there and I know exactly what happened.

This is the same facility who just has a staff member having an intimate relationship with one of the minors housed here. Something needs to be done about how these kids are dealt with.
