I called several companies, including the Groome Shuttle people. I couldn't get the info I needed for the shuttle and tried to book online without success. I then called three different Groome shuttle phone numbers only I kept getting the same recording in a loop, so I couldn't talk to a person to help me find out why I kept getting "no service" when I knew they went to Tucson. Then I found Steve! He was so generous with his time, and as someone else was paying for my ride, I couldn't use him at that time. When I explained my situation, he got through to Groome and I was able to get a ticket, only because of him! That is stellar customer service for someone who wasn't able to be a customer. However, I am now planning to get picked up by Steve with my parents and get door-to-door service to the Phoenix airport. I am looking forward to meeting Steve and getting driven in his Suburban since the three of us will have a fair amount of luggage!

Rather than selecting your own departure time, Groome assigns you a departure time based on your flight departure, allowing for plenty of extra buffer time. If you're the type of person that does not like to spend any extra time waiting for a ride or in the airport, Groome may not be the best for you as they dropped me a good two hours in advance of my flight departure. That being said, if you like having a chance to visit the airport lounge or grab a bite to eat at the terminal, Groome could be perfect for you. I arrived to the pick up spot about 10 minutes before my scheduled departure time and ended up waiting until about 15 minutes or so after the scheduled time. They do have a primitive trailer with air conditioning to escape the Arizona heat. Take note that they have multiple rides every single day so the van already at the pick up spot may not be your ride. Be sure to check with the driver before getting in. When the van finally arrived, they checked everyone in and made sure to do a final head count before departing. The van itself was fairly spacious and comfortable. About an hour and a half later, we were at the airport! Overall, no complaints. I would do this again.

Their flight arrived at 10:30 PM, with the shuttle scheduled for 11:30 PM, but the driver never showed up. They left my entire family -- who had never been to Arizona before -- completely stranded at the airport with nowhere to go at night. No emergency contact, no outreach, and they waited over an hour. This was extremely unethical and wrong, putting my family in a dangerous and stressful situation in an unfamiliar place. Groome tried blaming us for being in the wrong location. The manager was only focused on asking where we were waiting so she could find an excuse to blame us rather than offer any assistance or explanation. It wasn't until I caught her in her lies -- because I already knew about the construction they were unaware of -- that she finally gave up and issued a partial refund. She still owes me one more refund. She initially tried to give credit from a prior trip instead and refused to help cover any of the $500 rental car I had to pay at 2 AM. I've used Groome for several years thinking they were safe and reliable. They ask for flight information and make you believe they monitor flights and care about your arrival. I never received a single phone call the next day. I had to reach out first. They showed zero remorse. After the refund, the manager brushed me off saying "have a good day" and stopped responding to my messages because she didn't want to help anymore. Groome does not care about your safety -- all they want is your money. They look professional but will leave you to die. Do not use them if you want your family in good hands.

And then he proceeded to mumble and came up with a plausible excuse, "I already have an appointment at that time". It would have sufficed to just say, "I'm sorry, I'm not available at that time" and given me a referral or something...but his response was rude and unprofessional.
