The young man there was so very helpful and showed me which blade I needed and even how to replace it. He said I should keep the original for emergencies. I went on my way out of town and my ABS light came on so I stopped at the Tesoro near the Palmer oreillys and the young lady there said that I should check with so and so at oreillys next door if I was unsure about needing brake fluid because I had been lingering at the auto stuff awhile looking confused. I did go next door and the guy was just like my own dad and checked and made sure everything was up to par and put the fluid in even tho he said I probably didn't need it, and explained ABS to me... he went out of his way to be helpful, once I said I was traveling to Tok alone. I truly appreciate customer service like this because it's very rare. If you need anything auto related, and are unsure about what you are in need of or how it affects your vehicle, or even if ur knowledgeable, Go to oreillys auto parts. Yesterday, (I am here... A LOT) An older woman came in, and the staff went out of their way to be sure her vehicle was safe for her ride to Fairbanks (6+ hour drive) The store is smaller than some, but perfectly suiting for our small community. They have never had an issue getting what I needed, and even having to get some.in from Seattle, I still get many things the next day. My store of choice :-D

Now the details...called to schedule an appointment for a check engine light. Edward and my husband played a bit of phone tag but he eventually connected and got on the schedule. Prior to his appointment, the check engine light was figured out so my husband called to cancel his appointment. Edward was super helpful and spent over 15 minutes discussing maintenance tips and recommendations to keep our truck running great. Between prompt callbacks and very friendly engagement, I can't imagine that this garage is anything but top notch. Glad I found them!

We even showed her examples. Literally visuals. Told her FOUR times and she still didn't understand. I asked for a male, because she obviously didn't understand. She said "I'm the only one here" yet there was another elderly female and a young male( who after check out we found out was the manager ). Then when I said what about them. Then said they are helping others, the manager wasn't doing anything. Then said "that's hella rude", then picked up her phone and started to text on it. Making a customer repeat themselves four times with clear explanation and even visuals is rude. We stood at the counter until she decided to do what we asked of her and checked the computer. The manager was a ginger and very young. She refused to help us and was hoping we would leave angry, the manager didn't help. The manager said and did nothing. We stood there until she looked, like we asked. She had a bag of doughnuts and a juice on the counter. She was playing on her phone when we walked up too. By far the worst experience we have ever had at Auto Zone. There is no way they are hurting this bad for workers. No one had name tags either.

Then he raised his fingers and said, "this close." And then he laughed and walked away. And I was stunned. To be fair, I didn't know they closed at 7. And had they opened the door and said, "Do you need something quick?" I would have said, "Yeah, just a battery." And I wouldnt have even asked them to do a check on the charge. But they didn't. I turned around and went to my car. Speechless for a moment. But I still managed to take a screen shot of the time on my phone. Even after returning to my car and questioning what I had just witnessed, the time was only 7. If this is their definition of customer service and the way they want to demonstrate their attitude in a new location that's only been open for a few months, well, consider me a customer they'll never have the pleasure of serving.
