I so enjoyed working with April! She has fabulous taste and a bubbly personality too! She selected all the new paint colors for my house, trim and cabinets. I love the colors she chose! She also surprised me with an extra bonus, when I shared that we wanted to upgrade our daughter's little girl pink room into a teenager room. April had very cool ideas and had us paint the ceiling a blue color that really makes the chandelier pop! I look forward to working with April again. read more

It's been long over-due to write this review of our kitchen/living room remodel. However, with almost 2 years out, I think we have a good perspective now. April is probably great if you have no idea what you want for your remodel and want her to just design and do it all. However, we knew exactly what we wanted, how we wanted things designed and the specifications we wanted. April did not pay close attentions to all the details we provided her. Cabinets etc were undersized. We had to go back and forth many times. Very cheap materials and labor are used (only single coats of paint and now we have had to repaint most surfaces already with just simple user wear/tear). Cheap material was used in the pantry that we had to have her pull out right after assembly. She spend nearly all of her design hours researching a job that she really could not do. In the end, we are not very happy with most of the work quality or the experience. Next time we need to do a remodel of anything else in our house (which we are starting to plan now for our master bathroom), we will certainly go elsewhere. read more

After talking with April, the owner of Adentro Designs, on the phone, I knew April and I would work well together. She did a color consultation for my home, developing a palette of 11 colors! My house went from boring builder's beige to a beautiful array of colors that truly reflects my taste and lifestyle. This is the first "internet" review I have completed for a business. However, after working with April of Adentro Designs, I felt compelled to do so. I found April through a basic internet search. I cannot praise her enough. April worked with me to completely redesign and decorate my entire master bath (which included tearing out closets, the shower stall, etc.) April is a wonderful communicator and was able to intuitively sort through my vague ideas and come up with a beautiful concept. April did an extraordinarily superior job, while working under some stressful situations related to contractors, plumbing and other unforseen issues. April's calm professionalism, patience and good cheer were greatly appreciated. Moreover, as a busy professional, I was especially appreciative of April's responsiveness and willingness to deal with every aspect of the project in a way that inconvenienced me the least. As another business owner, I understand that this takes a lot of guts to face harsh reviews with a sense of class. I'll admit upfront that the owner of Adentro Designs is my friend April. Yeah, that's her over there in my list of friends (tell her to write some more reviews already!). But that doesn't mean her work isn't as fantastic as I'm about to say it is. Our friend Abel is, well, a guy. His idea of decorating was shoving his bed into the corner of his room and throwing some sheets on top of it. When April offered to decorate his apartment in exchange for creating her Web site, he agreed. He threw a party when she was done--and wow, the difference was incredible. It's like he suddenly became an adult. You can see the before and after photos on her Web site. She added color, curtains, and class. She incorporated his own artwork into the scheme. She helped him pick out new furniture--and by "new," I don't necessarily mean brand-new. April can work with any budget; for Abel, she found some great stuff on Craigslist, including this funky blue chair she put in his bedroom. In fact, I think April would rather have to dig for an amazing, cheap find than pick out some generic new piece of furniture that anyone can get. She can also help you stage a house if you're getting ready to sell. Oh, and did I mention that she actually made the cool headboard that now sits above Abel's bed? This girl is multi-talented. TIP: She just started this company, so she's actively seeking new clients and might be willing to work with you a little on price if you're nice...but don't tell her I said that. read more

I have taken too long to write this review. We worked with April for a second time this past fall, to completely remodel our fixer-upper" rental house that we purchased. In short, she did an amazing job and the end result was beyond our expectations. She was able to keep us right at budget and the estimated 8 weeks ended up only being 6 weeks!! She works very closely with a construction company and had those "hard to handle conversations" when they were needed. We went through several different living room/kitchen designs. I knew aspects of what I wanted but couldn't quite picture it, and she nailed it on our 3rd design! We completely moved our kitchen and opened it up to flow into the living area seemlessly. We also had a "master bathroom" with the sink actually in our bedroom ( 70's style I guess ) and she closed it off and gave us a beautiful oversized shower with a cool tile design. Our second bathroom wasn't optimal, with the door almost grazing the bath/shower when it was open, making it just a really tight fit, so she moved it and rearranged where the sink and tub are. Its perfect and beautiful! She knew our style from helping us decorate a few rooms in our previous home, so she nailed the design aspect for us from the gitco! We love our home, and we loved working with April, and could not recommend her more highly!!! read more

There are two parts to a good interior design review: the quality of the design itself, and the communication skills/interpersonal skills of the designer. April, owner of Adentro Designs, scores highest marks on both. My husband and I came to April initially because we were having a terrible time finding interior paint colors that would go with the one bright orange wall we loved in our kitchen. April picked great colors for the entire interior of our small, but open floor plan, house, and since the success of that project, we've had her design our living room, including furniture, shelving and a new gorgeous glass and stone tile fireplace surround, and now she's working on our dining room. We go back to April again and again not just because she's a great designer, but because she's a great mediator (my husband and I often have different ideas of what to do with a space), a great listener, and she doesn't just do the same thing for every house--she truly starts with what you as the client define as the issues, and then she works with you to find the right solution that fits you. She doesn't just impose her design sense on whatever you show her, she's great at working with you to find YOUR solution. We love April and Adentro Designs! read more

The short version is that April and her team at Adentro are a bunch of rock stars that will make you feel like a rock star after you see what your place looks like once they're done with it. This version is a little more detailed. My Wife and I recently bought a home here in Round Rock and the home required us to purchase a substantial amount of new furnishings and accessories. We had never worked with a designer before and were a bit hesitant because we weren't sure what it would cost and whether it would be worth it. Many rooms later (living room, breakfast room, movie room, master bedroom and dining room) we can say with crystal clear certainty that we were absolutely blown away by the transformation that our home underwent. April and her team located, coordinated and installed everything from art, accessories, rugs, floors, floating shelves for drinks, pillows, covers, couches, tables, lamps, bar, a complete (and gorgeous) dining room set, lighting, a custom media cabinet, and posters for the theatre room, paint for 4 total living spaces as well as blinds, custom drapes and mirror frames. Not only was she responsive, ahead of the curve anticipating and preventing issues and awesome to work with, but she also went out of her way to save us as much money as possible without compromising on quality. I can't say enough about how thankful we are to April and Adentro Designs for providing a feel and look to our home that we can enjoy for years and how thankful we are for her walking us through the entire process with such attention to detail and consideration for the fact that we'd never done this before. I had initially decided to furnish and set up my home office on my own but once she completed the house I decided there was no way I was going to wonder what my office could've looked like if I had decided to let April design and set it up. Adentro Designs has been my design firm for over a year. April has designed and decorated 5 rooms in my home so far. But she isn't done yet! I keep coming back to April for many reasons. April really listens to me. She listens to my ideas and thoughts, shares her own and then creates a design that always blows me away! She does an excellent job staying within a budget but her design looks as though she has spent a million dollars. April always has a smile on her face and you can tell she loves what she does. I was so impressed with April and Adentro Designs for several reasons. I really appreciated how quickly April got back with me after I left her a message explaining my need for a color palette consultation. I had a few bold colors picked out that I wanted to use in various rooms in the house, but I was stuck on how to make the house "flow" from one room to another. April was perfect with her suggestions and design talent. She really listened to what I envisioned and to what was my personality and style was and she created a beautiful palette to reflect that. After hearing a lot of good things about Adentro, we decided to call April and have a consultation session with her. We paid her the $95. After sending us the first draft of the quote in an email, not even once did she bother to email us back and check if we had any questions. One could say that its the customers responsibility to ask back questions, but we got tied up with a few things for a few weeks hence never emailed her. And when we did get around emailing here, we realized that neither did she follow up... as a business owner, April should have just pinged us to see what happened. Anyways, I would prefer working with a company who shows some interest in having our business...still looking for a good contractor. read more

I had the pleasure of working with April to decorate my business. I own a spa, known as FaceToFace Spa at Avery Ranch and I have April to thank for the upscale, relaxing, tasteful ambience that was created through the decor. As a new start-up business I had a limited budget. April's services were very budget friendly and she creatively found ways to use what I already had to supplement her decor ideas. Who would have thought that painting the ceilings dark maroon purple would be the most amazing accenuation of the entire spa? Or that spray painting a brass chandelier to a chrome silver would make the forefront of the entrance 'elegant'.... And I must admit, I thought wall paper died in the early nineties until she doctorated my restroom and front lobby with gorgeous wall prints. I get complements on both daily from our clients! At the beginning, I told her the look I was going for and April presented me with print outs of my own rooms with the furniture, wall paper and decor "pasted" in the picture so I could see exactly what it would look like in the room before I purchased the furniture. She presented 2 types of styles: classy or zen. I chose the classy option. It was so cool to see her art at work!
