Paul and Javier were so nice..I know that doesn't get your car to pass but customer service really counts! They were very professional..I was out of there in 20 minutes! Adem is awesome! My new go-to place for smog tests. I called and made an appointment easily for a few days out since I wasn't in a rush. Got to the shop a few minutes early and Adem was ready for me - in and out within 20-min, amazing! Adem is super friendly, kind and checked my oil too (and suggested an oil change which I'll definitely get asap) during the smog test. The inside waiting room is full of National Geographic magazines and the walls are full of momentos (love how full of personality it is!). Excellent service, super kind, and extremely professional. Adem was so nice and kind. The last place I tried taking my classic car to gave me a big run-around, mostly because it's older and apparently the smog process is a bit more labor-intensive or something? Idk. Adem got me right in the same day I requested an appointment, and we had a really nice chat about my car while I was there. His pricing is upfront and reasonable, and his service is top notch. I'll be bringing both my cars here from now on. read more

This was my third trip to Adem's to have my car smogged. I was the second person to review him back in 2009 but I moved out of the area and have used him for the last two registrations after moving back. The best thing about Adem's is Adem! He is very friendly and goes over and above the basic smog test service. He filled my low tire, checked my fluids, and gave me some advice on a loud power steering belt. He doesn't do any other services so there is no motivation for him to point out anything that needs to be addressed. His waiting room has comfortable couches and a giant coffee table full of magazines with National Geographic as the dominant publication. However, I have never had to wait for service when I've visited him so I've only had the chance to read one article. If you do a yelp check in and take advantage of his discount through yelp you will pay $48.00. He has one price, and that price is out the door with no added fees. It's a rare thing in this day and age to get good old fashioned friendly and efficient service! read more

Love this guy! We've been 4 times, I think. I just feel like he takes care of me and he is such a gentleman. We have a 20 year old fussy German sports car that's all-wheel drive. There was a problem passing the inspection and he suspected it was the gas cap not giving a good seal. Saved me a trip to the mechanic! This review went unposted since 2019. Love this place already! I got here late, as he closes at 5 (according to Yelp) and I ended up arriving at 5:02 (I got off work at 4:30). But Adem is so sweet he said he won't leave work until he'd get my car done! That shows great customer service (and he just mentioned to me he's going to have to drive back somewhere 5 HOURS AWAY!) awww I feel bad he has to stay late now and drive for so long so far. You can tell he puts his customer first. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! read more

Adems test only was totally awesome. He was quick to answer the phone and recommended that I make a same day appointment to avoid waiting. I showed up with my car to get a smog check and he got me out of there in less than 30 minutes. Very affordable as well. It's definitely confusing to get here. like others have said, the entrance is actually off of Almaden Road so don't follow your GPS or iPhone trying to find it. Prices are low for a smog test. 48 bucks! Also the owner Adem is extremely nice. He heard me listening to the football game on the radio and came over to turn on the tv and to get the game on. He performed the tests and then told me that there was a nail in my rear tire and suggested places to get it fixed. Overall, great service and price. I'll see you in 2 years Adem. read more

Established in 2005.

I started my business in April 5, 2005. I had been a customer of auto repair industry earlier. I do know that getting the car smog tested is somewhat burden to all of us. It is not like going shopping to spend money willingly, it is like being forced to spend your hard earned money and make the time available for it. That is the reason I like to make your experience as pleasant as possible by treating you exactly how I like to be treated. One does not have to have a university degree to realize that, does he/she? So, when you are here, just sit back and relax. It is not end of the world if your car does not pass the first time around. I will explain your options including consumer assistance program of the state.

Meet the Business Owner: Adem A.

Coming to California in November 3, 1978 from Istanbul with a Bachelors Degree in Ship Building Engineering, my goal was to get higher education in my field from U C Berkeley, one of the most prestigious universities in the world. Upon completing my masters in 1980, I was offered a position from a company working on the design and the installation of offshore oil platforms. I could not refuse the offer and started to work in this very challenging field of engineering. It was fun while lasted. Unfortunately, the industry was highly depending on the OPEC oil prices and the world peace. One fact I realized while working in the offshore field was that the glaciers recede in average of 200 ft a year and new fjords open up in their places. Unfortunately, this is the result of man made pollution almost 65% of it is due to the fossil fuel burning vehicles. This is the reason I got into Smog Inspection business. Test Only concept was very convenient due to the fact that I am not a mechanic.

If you have any problems getting smog for an older car like my 1987 Acura Integra, then you need to see Adems, he's the" real deal"! I wish I would have seen him earlier I would have save lots of money and headache's! Don't waste your time and money with smog guys that take you for a ride and after you fail the test tell you don't know what to do with you now. He is a nice guy, he always try to help like checking your motor oil, your tires, even your antifreeze, he ask you if you are going to change your oil soon if not he can help you adding some oil, or antifreeze and we have a start discount.
