I showed up without an appointment on a Saturday morning and Adem was very cordial and let me know that it would take a while to get to my SUV because there was a vehicle ahead of me that required more attention. I was able to observe that he was worked alone and was moving as fast as he could to complete the testing on an older, very large van. It was definitely not your typical passenger car. Amazingly, it passed! Once he got to me he was swift and efficient, and even checked my oil and air pressure for good measure. He threw in a discount for my wait. Highly recommended! read more

This is my 2nd time coming to this joint for my smog check and glad that I came to get it done here. Adem is the owner of the place and runs the show as well. It's a litle confusing to get there, the entrance is actually on 1654 Almaden road. Service was fast and at a good price. 48 bucks total. Owner was friendly and the place has a homie mom and pop feeling with couches and magazine. He even sat down first to ask how I was doing for a nice friendly chat and complimented my miata as well. There's a gigantic cell tower right behind his shop which you can use as an easy to see landmark. Yeah, a little hard to find the first time, but think of it as a treasure hunt well worth the final reward. I drove over and did get a bit lost, and as others have mentioned use the Almaden address rather than Lano Street. Adem is a super nice guy and before he even put my car up on the test, he walked around checking tire pressure, oil levels and checking out the engine. I was only there for 20 min, very fast and efficient, and a fair price. Now the car is 10 years old and 100K, I'll have to get a Smog Check every year, and I will come back here every time. Brought my Mercedes here and though it was hard to find it was a good experience once I made it. The prices are very reasonable ($48 - much lower than other places) and the owner, Adem, is very nice and knowledgeable. The place also has good magazines to read while you're waiting (though he works pretty quickly). Adem even offered to let me take a magazine with me when I left! I took my car to this place to get it Smogged. The place was a little hard to find ... must get here using the 1654 Almaden address rather than 419 Lano Street. Adem was very thorough with the entire procedure. He also, checked the Engine Oil Level and the tire pressure on all the four tires of my car. There were no delays or un-necessary waiting involved. Had a great experience here today! Adem is the only one working, but he'll take good care of you. He did a quick inspection around the car while it was being smogged and gave me a heads up about upcoming maintenance that I should keep an eye out for. He also inflated all the tires to the correct pressure and gave me some tire valve caps when he noticed I was missing some. He said "I would appreciate it if someone did the same for me". I had a great experience at this Smog Testing shop. I was referred there by "Cash For Cars". Adem is very friendly, and just seems to have a great welcoming personality. I had my kids along, and we waited together in the waiting area on the comfy couch, and chair that he has, along with a great selection of magazines, cold water from the water cooler, and I saw coffee supplies there too. (We didn't wait long at all :) He had a few note cards and letters posted on the wall that were sent from customers, who sent him "Thank You's" for his great service. He seems to be a real genuine nice guy, that I would definitely do business with again in the future (if I'm in the area -- since I live in Morgan Hill, it's not convenient for me). I would also refer friends there :) As for the location... it was slightly confusing at first. When you arrive at the exact address, you actually need to drive around the block and enter from the back-side. The entrance is off of Almaden Rd., by Stone Ct. There is a large sign posted at the entrance, once you drive around the block... and easy to find. read more

What an absolute pleasure it was to do business with this shop. I called at the end of the day fully expecting to be told to schedule an appointment for another day but was pleasantly surprised when told I could come at 5:30pm that day! Upon arrival I was greeted courteously and my '98 Chevy pickup was taken into the shop. Even though my truck has always passed smog checks with no problem, it does have 225K+ miles on it now and I was crossing my fingers hoping for no surprises. The technician (Adem?) was personable while performing/explainig the checks and even told a funny joke. Nearing completion of the smog check, he told me my truck passed with flying colors and tested like a vehicle at 20K miles. :) I love my truck!! Upon reading several good yelp reviews and being in the area I decided to give this place a shot. I called told it would take sometime due to people bringing their cars in during lunch. The place is a little hidden so be on the lookout. Once I made it, I was again told it would be awhile. It was a short wait. Car passed with flying colors.
