Andy took great care of me and my car! They have some of the best deals for smog check in my area. They also do other services such as windshield replacement, oil changes, tune ups, etc apparently! Give him a text for all your car maintenance needs. Got in and out within 30 minutes, for a smog check it cost $37. He helped me check my oil level too! read more

Manteiv Smog - Smog Check Stations Near Me - San Jose, California

Fast and friendly service. I would definitely recommend to come here for a smog check.

We agreed on a price through the phone and I confirmed an appointment at 9:00 AM. I showed up around 8:50 AM to beat the rush. By 9:20, the place was still closed but the surrounding autobody shops were filled with customers. I texted and called but no response. Same thing at 9:40. I eventually gave up and left. I live about 15 minutes away so it wasn't a huge inconvenience but it was since I had confirmed the time with him, it was disappointing. I tried calling again later at 10 and 11 AM. No response and still closed. I ended up going to "Long Super Auto Tech" right next door. They were cheaper, faster and actually open. Skip the hassle and just go there instead. read more

Finally Found a Mechanic Who Knows What He's Doing! After taking my Honda Civic to three different mechanics for an AC issue, I was beginning to lose hope. The AC just wouldn't kick in, and no one could figure out why. That's when I found Manteiv Smog, and I couldn't be more grateful. Right away, he took the time to actually diagnose the problem properly. Turns out, the issue was with the AC clutch not engaging -- something the other shops completely missed. Not only did he identify the problem quickly, but he explained it clearly and fixed it efficiently. Now my AC works perfectly, and with summer approaching, I couldn't be happier. Professional, honest, and skilled -- if you've got a problem others can't solve, this is the place to go. Highly recommended! read more

Needed a smog to complete paperwork at the dmv. I just got my car and don't really know much about it. Luckily enough, I found Manteiv Smog and the owner, Andy, is very knowledgeable and passionate about cars. He was happy to answer my many questions about my Acura TL and didn't seem bothered at all! Smog was quick and affordable. Immensely satisfied with the service and felt like my car was in good hands. Will definitely be coming back. read more

Got the quote for a smog check via Yelp, and took an appointment for same day. Reached the shop, and didn't had to wait for the work to be done. I just walked around the area for 15-20 mins while the smog test was being done. Once done, the paper work was signed, payment done and I was out the door. Very reasonable price to smog test, and on time and courteous service. read more

Amazing friendly service at Manteiv Smog. 5/5. I brought my car to get smoged the other day. Andy, the owner, got to the smog check right away, and we had some pleasant conversations. I have been to many auto/smog places for various car related issues, and I never felt at ease there; however, at Manteiv, I feel very comfortable, so much so that I asked him to take a look at a few other issues with the car. He got the car issues squared away promptly along with some good car maintenance advice. Overall wonderful personal experience, a long with great service and value! read more

I made online reservation through Yelp to arrive at 2pm today. Got the appointment confirmation. Went to the center at 1:55 and the place was closed. I called the center and the person who answered the call responded that they will not be able to help and he can only do it tomorrow which completely interrupted my schedule. Had to find another place near and getting it done in 15minutes. read more

I took my 2007 Honda Civic here for a smog check on June 5th. Andy provided me with high-quality service. He was the friendliest and most professional person. He made sure I was comfortable and cool on a very hot day. He was attentive, offering me water and turning on the fans in front of me. He was very polite and prompt in responding to all my questions. The service was quick, and the price was fair. I would definitely use them again and highly recommend them to anyone needing a smog check. read more

Great price. Great service. Got smog check and it took 10 minute or so. Would highly recommend.

Great service! Got here early and Andy got me in and out in about half an hour. Andy used to run an auto shop in Fremont, so ask him any auto related questions and he'll have an answer for you. I had called earlier in the week and Andy quoted me $50 for the smog test and certificate, but was given a discount bc I mentioned I found his shop via Yelp. Even at $50, it is a good deal, but at $37, this is a bargain! What an honest guy! He'll have my business moving forward. read more

My family has always been loyal to local businesses who prioritize service. With my local smog guy selling his shop and none of the friends with a recommendation I settled on using Yelp. Manteiv was one of the first to reply. Their price was very, and very reasonable, their availability was very flexible and they were very local to me in the east side of San Jose. I was out and about and decided to stop by for the smog and thankfully they were free to take me in. Andy was very friendly, pointed out some work I could do on my own (my battery needed some cleaning) and very efficient. I was out of there quickly (which is a shame since in the short time I was there I got some work done lol). The smog certificate was electronically sent to the dmv. Like I said the price was very good but even over price, service is what I am loyal to, and I would definitely be back and also recommend this shop to anyone that asks. read more
