The atmosphere here is always casual and comfortable and smells like cinnamon rolls (yum). Today I had the homemade noodles and chicken, because it sounded close to chicken and dumplings. The broth could have been a little creamier and it definitely needed more chicken. I might have had one bite with a lot of noodles. A family member ordered the same thing and also had minimal chicken. The roll, fried okra and hash browns were good as was the omelette. So overall it was good, just not as flavorful as in the past.

Best cinnamon roll we've ever had!…read more We enjoyed brunch at the Corner Cafe. On the weekends, they serve Biscuits and Gravy until they run out; unfortunately, I think I got some of the last of the batch. My husband had the pork cutlet. We were both impressed by the large portion sizes but the star of the show was the cinnamon roll. For $5, you get a gigantic cinnamon roll swimming in butter and frosting. It was absolutely DELISH. The service was excellent and quite fast, especially considering it was the post-church Sunday rush. It's an adorable atmosphere with plenty of tchotchkes and decor all around.

It was just so delicious in my opinion. And plenty big of a serving. Currently $10.99. Picture below. My husband had the Ruben sandwich and fries. He liked it, But he gave me no details. . I tasted a fry and it was hot and crispy. Just the way I like them. The bread was pretty. Lol. I tasted it and it was just bread. I did taste the rest of the sandwich tho. Our server was excellent too. It was not crowded when we were there but steady customers coming in. We were served quickly too. I would have liked to try the pie or cakes available, but I was way too full. From Cameron we drove to St Joseph for chocolate. Rocky mountain chocolate factory. It was about 30 mins from Cameron and then back to KC. Great outing.

Collard Greens and Cole Slaw among the best I ever ate! Same with the catfish - outstanding! Definitely a must try place. Mac N Cheese and Baked Beans were also on point. Service was easy. We shared some fried green tomatoes and I had 2 piece dark snack and a side of potato salad. My husband had a 2 piece dinner with beans and coleslaw. We also shared a slice of their chocolate brownie "pie". I loved that the tomatoes were crispy and delicious. I would have liked them even more if they'd been sliced thicker. The chicken had a nice spice, very flavorful and juicy. If you like a crunchy coating though, this may not be your place. It is fried but not sure it is battered. The beans tasted like Bush's or some other canned beans--tasty, but not special. The potato salad tasted homemade and my husband enjoyed the coleslaw. The pie was also good, and not overly sweet. We were impressed by the price, we had an appetizer, dessert, drinks, and we both ate for under $40 with a tip! We will go back and I would recommend it if you are looking for a laid back casual chicken dinner with a touch of heat.

As a pescatarian, the crab cakes and Brussels sprouts were my usual order here ! a solid combo…read more They've changed the crab cake recipe three times now. The first two tweaks were manageable, but the third change (after KC hosted the World Cup) finally lost me, and I haven't been back since. The current version is two small, lighter-colored crab cakes not as fried as usual , with a very strong cilantro taste that overpowers everything else. If you're a cilantro fan, maybe that's your thing, but for me it completely misses what a crab cake should be. The crab itself should be the star, not the herbs. Hoping they bring back the old recipe, because this used to be a happy hour staple.( mozzarella sticks are still bomb though)

This particular location rebranded and is now called five four restaurant and drafthouse. They remodeled the inside and it's actually quite nice and much more roomier than before. The front of the restaurants is regular seating and the back of the restaurant is the bar area and patio. It's quite nice how they separated it. The Food is good, it's mostly the same food with a few additional items in the menu. But is super slow. We've come to this location about 4 times since moving back to Kansas City and every time, service is super slow. We usually go on a weekday around 4:45-5 pm for dinner. And it almost always takes at least 40 minutes or more for our food to come after ordering. The servers rarely come back to check on us. We always have to flag down whoever we see to get our server to come back for ordering, or getting more dressing, or getting our check. We love coming here because it's close and convenient to our home and the food is good, but might have to come up with another option if service is always like this every time we come.

We walked in Thursday around 5:20pm and got one of the only tables available. Parking is spread out around the building with a lot behind the restaurant. Third Street Social is set back from NW Barry Road in mixed use- Appartments and Retail. We ordered a few happy hour menu items, a bottle of Riesling, and a Prime Rib Sandwich. The HH Brussels and cauliflower were awesome, the BBQ burnt ends were definitely a KC style Pork Belly ( know that's it's pork belly, not a BBQ restaurant "burnt ends " ) If Nora is taking care of you, you're gonna have a smooth experience. She's patient and attentive. The Prime Rib sandwich was flavorful and the Rare Ribeye was Tender. The presentation on the Taco was a miss.
