After looking for months at many different apartments, I stumbled my way to Lexington on Central. My first thought was that these must be condos as they have a condo feel to them. With further investigation I discovered they were apartments for rent. After looking at what Lexington on Central had to offer, to my relief, my search was over. This gated, Clean & quiet complex was just what I was looking for. Yes, super quiet, right in the middle of uptown Phoenix. The complex has a weight room, spa, pool and an entertainment facility that you can rent for parties. Lexington on Central is also just steps away from the Light Rail. If you are looking for bargain accommodations , these will not be for you as rents are spendy. Spendy or not, sometimes you do get what you pay for.

The emergency access gate is frequently left open, allowing public access to the gated community. Our apartment was also the subject of an attempted break-in, resulting in damaged personal property. Despite the property advertising security, security personnel are rarely visible. No one was aware that we lived at the property, which suggests the incident was a broader neighborhood-related issue. The lack of communication and ongoing safety concerns have made this a very disappointing living experience. They upper management at the Lex also did not look into our situation. Upper management waited 60+ days for us to move out to respond and acted like they never saw my multiple emails, even though everyone was CC'd in the emails. They have no customer service at all especially when it comes to upper management. Would not recommend living here at all!!

It's labeled as luxury, but the cleanliness, professionalism, and luxury end after the lobby. To summarize, staff is sexist, racist, and dismissive. The property is underwhelming and dirty. No new appliances. As far as the physical building, the front gate is broken every other week, leading the apartment to open the back gate which allows anyone in without a key (completely erasing the security of the building). I've attached pictures of pet waste and human trash left in the common areas of the apartment for reference. Please note, I took these pictures several days after first seeing the waste but management didn't care to send maintenance to clean. As far as the professionalism, the staff is not available to help with any true tenant matters such as the resident app not working or tenants harassing other tenants. I've experienced both issues numerous times, and it was left to me to find where the tenant lived and confront them on their behavior. There is no consistency on when rent is taken from your account DESPITE using auto-pay. Most times, rent is pulled from our account 12-14 days after the due date. There are plenty of true luxury apartments in Phoenix, please look for others and avoid the mess. Especially as a woman, I do not feel safe here because of the staff's negligence.

We've got a huge pool with beautiful cabanas that feel like a resort. The gym is fully stocked with everything you could need, and the pool table room has become a fun little tradition for my son and me in the evenings. It's usually quiet and feels like our own private space. Between the gym, pool table room, and lounge areas, there are TVs everywhere -- easily 10 or more. One of our favorite parts? The views. Our balcony gives us insane sunsets and a clear look at downtown Phoenix. It's just a 30-second drive to the 51, which makes commuting a breeze. The community is full of relaxed, hard-working, and family-oriented people. It's super peaceful, quiet, and feels extremely safe. There was a time your elevator was broken for 6 days. Worked for a couple days and now it's broken again? Picked up my friend for a Labor Day trip for Friday - Sunday, come back with bags of stuff and again your elevator is still down? People who shop with Costco big carry stuff or have baby strollers? What's the intention for helping people to their floor? The smallest of things that could easily be notified to the community get left undone. Maybe a sign on the elevator? Acknowledgement email letting people know of it down and estimated fix? Happy to update this when it's consistently up.

Unfortunately, since being sold to a private equity firm in early 2025, the service has noticeably declined. The handover was disorganized and poorly executed. The new management team seems to consist mostly of temps who are either indifferent or clearly overwhelmed and under-resourced. Rent has increased by over $500 in the last five years, but what are we paying for? Service has gone downhill, maintenance is slower, and small but important resident services are being cut. One example: the previous management used to collect misdelivered Amazon packages left in the lobby and hold them safely in the office. Today, we received a message saying they will no longer do this. A small gesture, sure--but one that said, "we care." Now? It feels like we're being told not to expect much. It's hard not to conclude that the goal is to cut as many costs as possible and flip the property again. If you're comparing options, newer high-rises in the area may be a better value--this place is losing what made it special.

The amenities were very nice especially the roof top where you're able to sit, read a book or just hang out to chat with pals. I liked the underground parking as well as, you wouldn't be able to tell that it was located there so that was nice. Parking limit was up to 2 spaces at $50 per space. Nothing against this apartment building but, I wish these downtown apartments would include parking in the rent but, I'm assuming that the reason that they don't, is because there's not enough spaces for every unit and since we're in AZ most wouldn't care to park in a garage. Assuming of course! There is free parking a half a block away on a first come first serve basis , as well as, meter parking surrounding. If you have lots of company living in downtown, this would probably not be the place for you honestly. The units across the street were much more spacious but, I did notice that the amenities and building weren't as kept up as this property, so, for me, iluminate would be a better choice if I have to pick between the 2. The location is perfect as there's so much going on in this area, now that the area has grown. I'm obsessed with the area honestly! The apartment homes are solidly built, low rises with pretty views and sometimes courtyards out the front. The clubhouse is really great. 24/7 gym, pool and real pool tables. The apartments are secure in separate enclosed buildings and the neighborhood is really nice. The best part for me, though is the management. Josh and Sheena go out of their way to help every resident. They have just the right type of dispositions for this business. I'm also paying $500 less than my previous place in Scottsdale. Let's start off with a good; -The rooftop pool has stunning views overlooking the mountains, as well as the city Thats pretty much about it in my opinion. Now let's go with the bad; -Homelessness is a real issue here, since it's neighboring a park, the homeless people tend to be seen digging through the trash in the parking garage, and don't be surprised if you catch them sleeping in the stairwells or clubhouse. YES I SAID CLUBHOUSE. Photo below ! -For the amount that you pay, the inconvenience of having to use keys Instead of fobs are real pain in the ****. Especially when half of the keyholes on the apartment complex are so hard to turn. I've had to have my key replaced multiple times because of the keyholes. -Of course, all the reviews you've read about car break-ins are real because I've had my car broken into multiple times. It doesn't matter if you park outside where I had an attempt catalytic converter theft or on a reserved parking spot on the fourth floor parking garage where I had my car glass shattered and personal items taken. I've brought it up to management but they have done nothing to fix the issues. You have been warned. -If you need maintenance done, you may need to report it multiple times like I did or else no one will notice and you're left with a leaking sink for 4 days. -During hard rain, my windows had a seal leaks that caused my carpet to literally be soaked. Issue not fixed. -Also the smell of the garbage areas on all the buildings are horrendous! Not cleaned often so you'll probably get a whiff of it on your tour. -the gym is definitely not a selling factor. Most of the equipment are malfunctioning and or broken. peak16, the highland, brix warehouse, pearl Biltmore has better options. Sorry to be a Karen but this place needs to address the issues that been happening for years. It was my fault I didn't take precautions and read the reviews. And to be honest Up until recently I had no issues really, until we got new "management". (the third transition since I have been there) So one day in late August, early September of 2025, I called and asked if they could clean the carpets because they were really dirty when I moved in there were clear dirt marks upon moving in but I didn't complain even though it really upset my allergies etc, and they said no they don't, but I can pay to get them cleaned myself. The carpets were soooo bad when my mom came to visit she said she would even call and ask if they would clean them...I said to her, no thank you. Anyway fast forward, I was in the process of a move out because my lease was up and not only did they try to give me an ILLEGAL eviction/5 day notice, the office (Madeline Thombs) was caught doing clearly Illegal housing law violations. The reason I am even writing to you is because you need to know about management at 4225. I was specifically told by their manager Madeline Thombs not to go to court the day of because it was cancelled, and she said she cancelled it ( I'm like how do YOU cancel court the day of? u aren't the court system or a judge??) and BOB, if I hadn't gone anyway to COVER MYSELF, I would currently have an eviction on my record with this predatory ass company & complex of yours and and be out of thousands of dollars and have my credit go down etc. Greystar was in violation for even trying to fine me in late fees etc, The "case" was thrown out by the judge and dismissed. Not only did they try to charge me over $800 in fees for court etc and they tried to keep my $350.00 full deposit and return only $76.00 of it. Blaming me for your dirty carpets when I moved in. Not only did I feel discriminated against, by Madeline and Audrey but they were going out of their way to make sure I paid something to the residences at 4225 upon my exit and be predatory purposely because I won court. Anytime I had to go in the office to speak to "management" there was a constant attitude upon my in-person communication with Audrey AND mainly Madeline Thombs. The time had FINALLY come for me to move and I thoroughly cleaned out the apartment and left nothing dirty, or not on its original condition upon my arrival and I took pictures AND video for proof..... Unfortunately, I was charged a re-painting fee of $120, a heavy cleaning required fee of $165, a required carpet cleaning fee of $60.00 and a smell treatment fee of $75.00 there were none. After these applied fees, I was sent an email stating my return amount is $76.00. Thankfully I have moved on to bigger and better but if you can, please don't rent with Greystar OR the Residences at 4225, the managers are terrible. We booked this property through GLOBAL LUXURY SUITES AT DOWNTOWN PHOENIX. Stayed from May 14th to…read morethe 19th. We flew from Austin, TX, we were delayed arriving into Phoenix and came in around a little after midnight and we had texted and called this company to let them know. And before we landed, they responded by both phone and on the booking. com messenger. They send you some information talking to you about the stratis app and how you should get on the wifi and log in - however there is no information speaking to how the status of the app should change to state "within range," or something similar when you get close. For us, the app never changed from being completely greyed out, which meant it wasn't online and or registered online for us to even be able to connect to the wifi to check in. ON TOP OF THAT, there was nobody was at the desk to help us, no personnel were on the property from this company to assist. For over 1 hour after landing we were stuck outside trying to call this company and trying to get help. When we did get on the phone with some lady, she was rude and kept saying "well, this has never happened before, it's not our fault you cannot connect on the wifi to get in the building." We asked her why the app wasn't working, she couldn't get the app to restart or to reboot to get online, and at the end all she said was "Well I'm sorry, we can't do anything else from here, you will just have to weight until morning." Mind you, it's already almost 1am and we were tired, she didn't offer any further help, any accommodations or any other assistance at all to two women traveling late at night in a downtown city. I stated " so we are just supposed to spend hundreds of dollars for some other hotel because you cannot help us? and she said sorry but whatever you have to do." It was the single rudest interaction I have ever had with a hotel establishment and company and I will never forget it. I completely suggest that if you use this company, have extra money with you if you're going to be delayed and land late at one of their locations and try to arrive during the day. The only reason we got in, was because the tenants at this location were very kind and helpful. I cannot stand how this company treated us and everyone should know. Book at your own risk. Also, while the establishment was okay, the room was subpar, and the a/c unit did not work completely. One star review for GLOBAL LUXURY SUITES and this location for not having any accessibility and mediocre rooms for the amount of money paid.
