I had the unfortunate experience of falling into a trap of a cheap quote to do my roof by fly by night operators from outside home depot. To my horror they ripped open my roof exposing my house to the bones, suddenly realized that my roof was way more complicated than they expected (with old wooden structure underneath the shingles) and they just took off and disappeared, of course along with my advance money too. I was all in a state of panic due to my open roof and frantically reached out to google to google roofers. Up came Team All Star - i made a call late evening and pleaded it was urgent. From there on that was the best call i have ever made in my life for an all purpose contractor. Larry returned my call almost instantaneously after reading the urgent message. I explained to Larry what had happened and since this was the fist time i was ever doing a roof was in a state of panic. Larry was calm and told me that from there on it was his problem and assured me nothing would happen to my house. From there on it was an amazing experience - Larry showed up first thing next morning and had already used satellite technology to map out my roof and had a quote ready all inclusive. He took time in explaining the process and timelines all the while assuring me that he would take care of the problem. From there, Larry's project manager Geremy took over and the work went as explained on the timelines explained and as assured my house was well taken care of. Geremy supervised the whole show - organized the demo team who were extremely courteous, professional and amazing. They demo'd my roof and then cleaned my place cleaner than it was even before they started taking care of all the trash left behind by the previous rogues. From there the material was delivered, crews showed up and completed the work in record time under a week. Since this was the first time i was doing a roof and with my house exposed, i was in a state of panic and texted Geremy and Larry many times. I was amazed at the courtesy, care and prompt response from both of them always re-assuring me and putting me at ease at every moment all the while understanding that i was a concerned home owner. They responded professionally to every text and ensured Geremy dropped over the next day to ensure all was on track. My roof is now complete in record time and it is an amazing job so well done that my neighbors have been commenting that the house looks like new. Team all star has won my confidence and any business i may ever have for life. I strongly recommend Larry and Geremy and you will not ever regret selecting them for your work. This is an amazing company with a very committed team that treats your interest and home value as their own.

I'm posting this to protect anyone researching making an investment in a remodel or rehab. This company DOES BAD work, they do not communicate well, and they will argue with everything. These pics are just a few examples of what we'll have to fix or pay other people to fix. Run!!! Find another company!!! Larry's response below is nonsense also. Nothing complex whatsoever, but for this company it must have been. Absolute nonsense and gaslighting like every other conversation with Larry. If he ever listened. Met him once and never saw him again. He just collects money and makes up excuses for shoddy work. For the record- they still have my house key - never returned it. They left many items undone and garbage for us to clean up after them as well.

As a licensed Painting Contractor for 30+ years (C-33, now retired) licensure is important to me as it provides some welcome peace of mind when others are working on the property. Steve provided us an estimate and written contract, each of which spelled out the full scope of the work to be performed, as well as the cost and payment schedule. He showed up on time every morning, and worked steadily throughout the day. He completed the job within the timeframe promised, and thoroughly cleaned the job site. The workmanship was excellent, and he was exceptionally pleasant and professional to work with. The price was quite reasonable, and we were more than happy to pay it! We are, without reservation, very happy with this experience and will have him back soon to do some other projects for us. In short, I simply cannot say enough good about Cajon Construction! This is the kind of contractor you want on your property.

If you use him, ask for him directly or his son. His worker did not provide quality work. My home had not been sprayed prior, only rolled so I was disappointed that there was SO much overspray. And my bathroom wall started to bubble. The guy also used an old roller so there's lots of hairs painted into my wall ( lint is sticking out of the paint). Three of countertop are now gritty and my bathtub that was new to the home prior to moving in, is also covered in overspray. Very disappointing since I paid but hopefully it was only that one worker and he won't be put on paint jobs ever again.

I had been shopping for tile for quite some time, since I wanted something that was water, stain (read "pet') resistant but mimicked the beauty of wood. After looking at several other companies more towards L.A., I came across Mike's right here in my own backyard of Redlands and that's when I knew my search was over. On my first visit, I showed up 5 minutes before closing and I was still waved in by smiling employees who took the time to speak with me, showed me samples and made an appointment for a free in-home estimate. Sweet-natured, considerate Project Manager Hector turned out to have a fabulous eye for design and an appreciation for what I was trying to do, by emphasizing the unique shape of the home (a hexagon within a hexagon with an interior courtyard) and drew up an elegant floor plan. He also directed me to Empire Tile in San Bernardino, which I had never heard of and would have saved me several trips down the 10 Freeway West if I had. The moment I walked in, I saw a display from a manufacturer in Spain called Porcelanosa that had a gorgeous, organic looking long, wide plank tile called Bernes Haya, the first sample that literally made me smile and say, "That's it, that's the one." Now I had my tile and my installation company, how did it all actually go? The crew that worked on my home, Dave, Darryl and Aidan (sp?) were, in a word, FANTASTIC! They were personable, respectful, funny, and so dedicated to my house getting the best possible outcome I was deeply impressed. The shape of the condo with its abundance of angles proved to be a considerable challenge, but they proved themselves to be more than a match for it. No detail was overlooked, no area simply filled in with grout, they did a masterful job of cutting even the smallest or most uniquely shaped pieces to allow complete tile coverage. They had to improvise on more than one occasion, with undercutting door sills and jambs, and finding just the right angle or location for the perfect tile placement. In addition, they kept me informed of every concern or issue and patiently answered my many questions. Even while sitting in the driveway on their lunch breaks, they helped a neighbor unlock her car to retrieve the keys still in her ignition and assist another with her pesticide sprayer! They were that helpful and caring, I wanted to adopt them! I've never seen a harder working, unfailingly polite and talented crew. It was a masterful job, and everyone that has seen the floor in person is just blown away. I've passed out several business cards to my neighbors and friends and can not recommend them highly enough!
