This is a review for dog walking, doggy daycare, and dog boarding…read more I found Peaceable Pets after a very thorough vetting (I am convinced I should have been cast in the movie Best in Show--yes, that is how much of a crazy dog lady I consider myself). Time and again, people on the Ann Arbor Dog Owners Facebook group mentioned Peaceable Pets. I read all the reviews, stalked Peaceable Pet's Facebook page (where Robin posts videos of her guests and informative articles about all things animals), scrutinized the information on her website, did a meet and greet with Marcy, our dog walker, a play date at the Dellwood Doggy Ranch (required for doggy daycare and boarders). I give it 10/10 stars. Peaceable Pets is an Ann Arbor treasure. You will not find someone more knowledgeable about dogs than Robin. Some reasons I love what Robin offers: 1. She understands my dog's unique personality, quirks, and needs. 2. She prioritizes the safety, well-being, and quality of life for my dog. 3. The pick-up and drop-off times worked well with my schedule, which was variable for a while, and then predictable for another while. 4. I trust her 100%. 5. Every time I bring Hagrid to her, he bounds toward her and doesn't even look back to say goodbye. Every dog parent knows that is a good sign. 6. Hagrid is calm and content when he returns from daycare. ...I could go on and on. As for dog walking, Marcy was wonderful and reliable. A few times I bumped into Marcy while I was walking Hagrid and saw his entire body language and vocalization over his joy of seeing Marcy. There is no stronger endorsement than that, in my opinion. To top it all off, Robin and Marcy have really interesting personalities, back stories, and talents when they are not caring for our beloved animals. Marcy speaks French. Robin sings in a band. They are the absolute best.

Ann gave me a tour and didn't rush me, she also listened about what concerns I might have asay a first time client with my rescue dog. They have plenty of space in which to move around in their facilities which always makes me feel better about leaving them. The staff at Beekel have always been exceptionally accommodating and pleasant. We have never had a problem. The only minor complaint I might note is that their hours are a bit limited. But we have managed to navigate around that limitation without a great deal of difficulty. And even when I have called during off-hours, I have been able to leave a message and I have always received a call back. They are the best value around the area for pet boarding from my experience.

Aunt B's was referred to us when our initial dog sitter backed out a couple weeks before our Hawaii vacation. Referrals from friends with great experiences is priceless. We were so relieved to find that they had availability to take our old boy for 9 days. We were a bit worried he wouldn't do well away from us for so long, but after the initial meeting and seeing the facilities in person, we were happy our boy got a vacation of his own. He played, had his own space and got lots of attention. The facilities are great. Individual kennels for overnight puppers or when one get a little crabby. The community area is a great play space with couches, and even a TV for them. Outside are gated paddocks to play or do their business. We bring their food and treats from home. I wrote out his meal schedule, potential meds should the need arise, and brought his blankets. He was set. Bridgette is so sweet and was always quick with a return text when I asked about our boy while on our trip. He did so well with the other dogs, I am glad he had friends to play with while we are away. (He doesn't at home) Aunt B requires a letter from your vet that shows your pupper is up to date on all shots and tests. They accept cash, check or Venmo. Their prices are more than reasonable, which left ample room for a good tip from us on top of the fee. Great facility (though a bit outside of town for most) and fantastic people. Highly recommended. They offer a variety of special treats and experiences for your pup there, but you can also opt to give your pup a more basic stay/day of play. They diligently checked his vaccines, observed his temperament, and made sure he was a good boy before taking him in. Not to mention they went above and beyond for us.
