Leave post Addison I literally DREAD walking into the leasing office.. and after talking with MANY, MANY other residents, I am not the only one. We've had a HORRIBLE experience from signing the lease (pushed our move-in date date by 1 week on THE MORNING of - AFTER loading everything, requesting time off, etc) just to having staff treat us and look at us like we're NOBODY. Like we're bothering them for doing their job. I wish I never had to step foot in that office. Once we moved in, we were greeted by bugs, a leaky sink, a broken door that won't close/lock, more bugs, had to caulk holes ourselves, and fix the door. And this is WITH the additional week they requested at our expense. I've put in orders in person at the leasing office and when I went to check a week later, I was told "it was never put in". At this point idk if they do it on purpose or if it really was an accident since they practically roll their eyes when they see anyone. The staff is rude, not helpful, and don't care to actually help anyone. I've spoken to many residents with worse stories and I completely believe it. The leasing office is a joke and I don't trust them to get anything done or help us in any way. Security in the apartments is a joke, ANYONE can get it. Also, don't except a gym, it's only 3 machines and is only open while you're at work (9am-6pm) since they manually go lock it instead of having their fob system automatically timed to allow longer hours. read more

This company is corrupt as they come. They charge everyone who rents a "carpet replacement fee" of ridiculous amounts. We left the place spotless and they still attempted to bill us $1000 to replace the carpet. They won't/can't show proof of damage or anything, but still attempt to charge you. I would NOT recommend living here to anyone. I normally don't write reviews but after receiving an email today that mailboxes have now been broken in to, I'm at the end of my rope. My own apartment along with two others in the complex were broken in to a few months ago, our building smells like weed half the time, the elevators are rarely working, and the halls and stairwells and are always filthy. Absolute nightmare! Seemingly beautiful and luxurious community till you move in. A list of move in issues longer than a CVS receipt to only one of which was addressed but took three times to get it half right over the course of multiple weeks and communication with office and directly with maintenance. Since than multiple additional maintenance issues to which were canceled without notice, explanation or resolve. Not once has ANY employee of this property asked if any personal items were damaged, considered or shown an ounce of concern for health and well-being while only replying once multiple calls, service requests and emails have been sent. When you finally do get a reply it's nothing but excuses and/or out of their control as they hire 3rd party companies. What about my belongings having to be moved as to not sit in standing water for DAYS as the walls and trim soak it up? The fix? HA! They supposedly sent a "professional 3rd party company" to "fix and make repairs"? No they simply put some caulk on the bottom of the wall and did a VERY poor job of even trying to cover their tracks painting over it to which the stains show through... my concern is what's going on in that wall such as possible mold? BUGS? Oh if you don't like bugs and you think keeping a spotless place will keep them away? That's a big NOPE! Again a "professional 3rd party company" that they have no control over so the property can "only do so much" followed with more excuses! Even retail spaces are becoming available due to the businesses closing or moving, I can only imagine how they are treated. Disappointment would be an understatement of how this property is run and maintained. At the expense of this property they should be offering FAR MORE amenities and services yet you receive an extreme lack of care and concern for residents and maintenance. The level of frustration and mental anguish is easily rendering my ability to recall all issues and concerns but surely have a ridiculous amount of emails, text and call history regarding issues. Management has offered no solution and has placed blame on the city. There are numerous properties within five miles that have much nicer amenities. The customer service since MAA took over has gone downhill. My black Honda CR-V was stolen from 3 rd floor GATED parking garage in post Addison circle( building 6) this am . My husbands car ( parked in the same 3rd floor garage) close to mine was broken into and our things stolen from his car as well. THE POST ADDISON Office has been less than helpful. I filed a police report this morning along with a report w the office. I've waited on a updated all day and didn't hear a word from them bc their system/ computers are down. When my husband walked over to get an update and state his concern of leaving his car in the same GATED garage tonight and feeling unsafe especially having our 2 year old - she responded with : " we don't promise safety. " I'm not really sure what I expected from them , but definitely a more sympathetic response to the situation since A WHOLE CAR has been stolen from their parking garage " with cameras". read more

Absolutely BS! If you are thinking of living here or already live here and you feel that your safety is important....please live elsewhere or if you live here, then just move. I have emailed my concerns SEVERAL times. I called their courtesy office, who ended up hanging up on me and THIS call I got today to tell me that the leasing office will do NOTHING without it coming from the Addison Police Department or from the courtesy officer. So if you have concerns about your safety, basically keep them to your self and hope that nothing happens to you. You can call the courtesy officer who will show up an hour or more AFTER the fact, then call you to tell you, "I'm sorry, I went by and nothing was going on." WELL, NO CRAP! It's been over an hour since I called!" Then he will ask you about the situation that he clearly missed and while your explaining and expressing your concerns, he'll hang up on. RENTER BEWARE OF UNETHICAL BUSINESS PRACTICES The company overcharged me $942.00 and $122.00 in interest and threatened to report to credit agencies if I did not pay. The Texas Uniform Electronic Transactions Act allows the use of electronic records and signatures in real estate transactions. For example, a combination of several documents or records can satisfy the "in writing" requirement. As long as these documents identify the item sold and the price to be paid, and the parties consent to exchange the item for the price, you can have a binding contract. Therefore, an email or series of emails can sometimes represent a binding contract between two or more parties. After terminating my 'month to month' lease agreement with the Property 30 days prior to vacancy, they stated they were unable to rent the property for at least 60 days after vacancy and I was liable for those 60 days rent (90 days post termination notice). I asked for proof that the apartment was not rented and was being actively marketed as available for rent. The company did not provide sufficient evidence to prove it was empty the entire time and it was being actively marketed. And, they continued with strong arm threats. The Corporate Office (Post Properties) headquartered in Atlanta GA perpetuate the bad business behavior and sets the policy for the entire company. I feel it tries to take advantage of renters. I wanted to add my two cents, because I think Post is getting pretty clobbered with some of these reviews, and it doesn't accurately reflect what it's like to live here. I wanted to add my honest assessment. I moved to this property in May 2014 and have had an overall positive experience. The office staff is pleasant and will answer any questions you might have. Maintenance requests are answered fairly promptly, and the staff workers are very polite and do a good job. When I initially moved in, there was a small leak in my bathroom. Instead of half-assing the issue, they replaced my entire toilet, and I haven't had a problem since. The units are slightly older, so you're more likely to see some wear and tear when you move in. I was very careful to inspect my apartment and write everything down on the move-in form they give you. I'm not a very fussy person, so I was OK with the little dings here and there. Originally, there was some very outdated tile in my kitchen and bathroom, but they replaced it with a faux-wood flooring before my arrival, free of charge. What I really like about this complex is its "walkability." I am within walking distance to a number of restaurants, salons, pubs, post office, convenience mart, and four pools to which all residents have access. This was important to me, since I moved here from NY and didn't want to feel like I was living on a compound. There are also a number of green spaces, which I also appreciate since I have a large dog. (Living in the Circle is like living in the Land of Dogs, so be aware of this if you have pets or small children. The grounds are kept clean, and "mutt mitts" are provided at little stations all over the property.) If you're a prospective resident, I think it's important to keep a few things in mind: First, this is neighborhood that is generally populated with young professionals. Young professionals are known to get a bit rowdy now and then. If you're sensitive to noise, try to request a unit in one of the buildings that's set a little farther away from the main part of town. I was lucky to have ended up on a first floor apartment in one of those units and I have not had ANY trouble with noise. Also, being a young professional myself, I enjoyed being near a few pubs without having to worry about a cab. It was a great way to meet a lot of new people. Secondly, people have complained about parking, particularly when there are events, but I haven't had any problems. I can nearly always find a spot on the street, and rarely bother with the garage. In regard to the events (Kaboomtown, Taste of Addison [aka Fork & Cork], and Oktoberfest), the town DOES get crazy busy. This doesn't bother me, since I know they'll all be gone in a day or so, but I can imagine it's not for everyone. If you're really considering moving here, get in touch with the property managers and have a look around. I can assure you that if you come prepared with questions, they will gladly answer all of them for you. If you're worried about the nightlife, pay a visit during an evening and gauge for yourself if it's the right place for you. read more

---Post Addison Circle deserves zero star--- --- we regret signing the lease and costed us 2 months rent (thousands of $$$) to terminate the lease --- We've lived in Post Addison Circle for 6 years. In the past year, the management staff and the neighborhood has gone way down hill to the point that I have decided to pay thousands of dollars of termination fees to move out of this place for the safety and comfort of my family. We lived in building 10 which is farthest away from the bars and pools scenes. It used to be a pleasant neighborhood. For the past year, rule violators started moving in. People violates noise curfew; drinking and talking incessantly outdoor for hours from midnight to 5 AM in the morning! Upstairs residents throw cigarette buds and dump dirty water and cleaning agents right at our door steps. We complained multiple times to the property management following the process of calling the courtesy officer. Calling the courtesy officer is completely useless. Courtesy officer came and told the noisy neighbors to quiet down at 2 AM. They told him they'll keep it down. But when the courtesy officer is gone, they continued to make noise and disturb other people's sleep till 5 AM. Courtesy office nothing he can do about it, and told us we can file a civil suit against the apartment if we want. Calling Addison police on violation of noise curfew is also semi useless. Police showed up and told the riff raffs to keep it down and they went indoor at the time, but would start all over again making noise outdoor through the night and disturb the peace the next day. And when we call the Addison police department, they said they don't keep a record of noise reports that we called in for. In other cities, police will issue a hefty fine for the violators of noise curfew and that will deter the offenders. But not here in Addison. The worst part is the front office: property manager Aaron S. and leasing manager Carolina P. are unprofessional and avoidant when you come to them with concerns of the apartment living conditions. Dealing with them is like pulling teeth. It seems to be their business practice to be nice to prospects, but once you sign the lease, they will try to get rid of the law abiding residents that complain and keep the rule violators. Another issue is, the violators also have multiple unauthorized residents living in the apartment for over 2 months, the apartment office knows about it but does nothing to enforce the lease contract. The unauthorized residents are the rowdy ones that were drinking and cursing (when other neighbors told them to "shut up", they yelled back "f*ck you" at 3:30 AM in the morning). This makes me feel very unsafe, let alone losing sleep. The apartment office will not waive the early termination fee for our lease even though it was their lack of action in managing and maintaining the acceptable living condition in the properties. And if we don't pay the 2 month rent of termination fees, they will take legal actions to go after us. For the safety and comfort of my family, we are biting the bullet, paying the penalty of 2 months rent and moving out of here. #### so, please, if you value your sleep, your money, your safety and your well being... Don't live here. There are better options out there! #### management did nothing to resolve the issues. offering transfer of apartment is only to cost me moving expense without solving the problem, that was why I moved out. read more

I really like office staff who are friendly but their parking and maintenance are just incompetent! I dont mind paying $$$ for a better living experience, but i shouldn't be doing someone else' work on my clock. Since they share parking space with public parking structure, parking is a pain the butt. You can forget about the parking during the events- they are always full. Getting a assigned spot for extra $50 a month doesn't help either, because some jerk always parks in your spot anyway, knowing they could get away. Policing parking violations are next to none. This was the 5th time in a row someone else took my assigned spot and parking staff took their sweet 12hours to respond to violation report. By this time owner simply moved his car. Asst Manager clearly states - she cant help or assure this wouldn't happen again "I cant make promises" (ofcourse, i agree as well), but the least you could do is have your staff do their job and have the car moved in time. Not after 12hours saying "Car is no longer there".. To which i should reply "Yay Einstein.. Nice Work!" It is not just parking, the units are pretty old, it took 6 requests for me to fix the issue with the AC unit during my 4 month lease term. Any resolution was mostly a half-measure. Being said that, if you are okay with walking 2 blocks for parking, suffer through events and incompetent parking/maintenance staff you will like Nancy and office staff in general. And customer retention efforts are next to none, there was a 8% increase in rent after my 4 month lease term and no flexibility around lease breakage(i have to give 30day notice and 2 months rent? please!). I have put in my vacating notice and chose 15777 Quorum instead. Atleast it comes with assigned parking spot and flexible lease break options. read more

I lived at the post for about 6 months before needing to get back to uptown :). It was a pretty good place to live. Really nice grounds around the complex. The apartment was really nice as well. The management was nice, I enjoyed the restaurants available in the complex, and it was really nice to watch kaboomtown from my parking garage :). My biggest complaint about the Post was the parking. I HATED parking in a different building than where I lived. So i'd park on the 4th floor of a different building, go down 4 flights of stairs, walk across the street, then walk up 4 flights of stairs to my apartment. This was SO INCONVENIENT. This place has gone downhill just within the last year (when they switched property management). it's just not a safe or enjoyable place to live anymore. There's people just wandering around the downstairs parking garage like they own the place, Our cars have been broken into, the elevators haven't been working in over 3 months, there's always dog shit on the floors in the hallways, and I've been followed while taking my dog out several times. We are moving next week and I can't wait to get out of this ghetto shit hole. For as much as we pay in rent here, we shouldn't have to deal with this. This place is trash! read more

Have been living here since June 2014 and boy do I regret getting an apartment out here. Lets be very clear the only thing this apartment complex has going for itself is its proximity to Addison Park. After the last couple of issues I have had, that benefit does not seem to be of value anymore. Yes the property is older, everyone working at the main office will keep telling you that like it is some sort of excuse to make up for things not being right. The definitely do not account for that the older units when charging you rent. We pay about $950 for a 1bd and it comes to about $1050 after all of your other rent line items. Within the first day of moving in here the bedroom fan feel on me while I was sleeping. The staff did not react as concerned as I would have liked them too. The fan was spinning pretty fast and I could have easily been hurt. The dishwasher has not cleaned a load of dishes even though we have run a load twice through it. Mind you, we like to rinse out our food scraps so the dishwasher doesn't really have a lot of work to do. I have resorted to hand washing my dishes. Once again something that management would pass off as "This property is old". We recently noticed our kitchen sink leaking and upon further inspection noticed mold growing under the sink ( a place you would hardly think to check when first moving into the apartment). We put in a work request and the maintenance personnel didn't even take the time to understand the problem but replaced the dishwasher overflow which get this isnt even connected to the dishwasher. The bathroom sink was disgusting and had gunk around the faucet on the first day we moved in there. We had them replace the faucet but the maintenance personnel didnt even bother cleaning the gunk out before switch it out. Noticed paint drops on the carpet near the windows and reported it to management. Some of the tabs on the windows which enable the windows to slide up and down were broken. The maintenance personnel mentioned they would come back with the part once they had it shipped in. This was in June and we are now in September. Some good things about this apartment complex and their only saving grace have been the businesses that are within walking distance of the complex, being able to walk to events being held in the parks and quiet neighbours who keep to themselves all around. I know that this might sound like the ramblings of an irate customer but heed my warning there are better and newer properties out there which might be slightly more but worth the money. read more

Absolutely terrible place to live for the money we pay you would think the property management would care to offer a service equal to that value but its sub par at best. Management states that maintenance and 3rd party contractors have the right to enter your apartment as they please as long as it's classified as an emergency even tho there is no emergency at that moment. The front office manager Donald is just plain rude and answers all questions in a condescending manner as if our privacy is irrelevant. The contractors took no precautions in regards to covid touching everything in my kitchen and bathroom using my towels to dry the leak that they caused when they cut the wall to access the pipes. Destroyed my bathroom and just left the mess with water all over the floor when I complained about the mess management basically said sorry we have an emergency and don't have the staff to clean up? Keep in mind this is 4 weeks after the snow storm and my apartment suffered no initial damage. Now i have people randomly walking into my apartment looking for fans that are not there i told management the fan was not there and the contractors have already removed it and Donald basically said I'm lying even. Though i have a voicemail from him stating the fact two weeks prior. Its not an emergency to enter my apartment looking for a fan. To make matter worse when i called and asked if maintenance was in my apartment he said that no they were not And that there was no record of my apartment key being checked out by anyone. So apparently there is people with my key and now access code to my apartment that can go in and out as they please. I cant put in words how miserable i have been living here these last few months and how they have treated me. Absolutely terrible place to live i have canceled my lease and i am moving out in a month highly recommended you stay away if any way possible there is nicer apartments with similar pricing in the area around addison circle that wont treat you like you have no place to go. i have more photos and videos I will upload later i will be contacting taa and filing a formal complaint as well read more

I lived at Post for a little over two years. First in one of their two story town homes and then in a studio. The property is wonderful, by this I mean Addison Circle itself. The outside gardens, landscaping and dog runs are beautiful and certainly part of the appeal. I loved living in the circle and moved here because of the events and community life. I liked the parking garages- a lot, except that we had several break ins during the time I lived there. The apartments themselves are older and are designed/decorated horribly. I am not sure who they originally hired to design these apartments but..epic fail on their part. Watch out for significant rent increases upon renewals-- always attempt to negotiate and if you are able to spring for the extra $100-200 try to get into on of their "updated apartments". My town home had hardwood floors and stainless steel appliances, but all of the wood is light wood and the tile is horrendous. Otherwise you are left feeling as I did, like you are paying way too much for an outdated and small apartment. You will enjoy the atmosphere, neighborhood and events (although beware of drunk people at your windows all hours of the night.) but you might consider checking out the Quorum 15777 if you want an apartment with style. read more

I've been leasing apartments for about 8 years and I've never come across a management company as inflexible as this one. I applied, paid $435 in fees and waited more than a week to receive my lease. I hesitated to sign because my fiancés job is likely to be moving to the Northwest. I informed them that I would not be taking the apartment before the lease date and they took the ENTIRE $435... No refund. I knew I wouldn't be getting $235 back because of the disclaimer on the website fees page, but it was not clear that the remaining $200 would be kept as well. They stated that it was on the FAQ page when I brought it to their attention, but why was it not stated as clearly on the FEES page? Hope they enjoy my $435! I really needed it for my upcoming wedding and move, but whatever. My fiancé lived there just over a year ago and the finishes are dreadful (old is one thing, but this place is dated and poorly maintained) and the AC unit only cooled one bedroom of his 2 bedroom apartment. Wasn't even considering moving there until upgrades were completed. After dealing with management I guess $435 is a small price to pay versus a year of complete headache. Finally, when I came to view the property they took me into someone's apartment without their consent. I felt really creepy standing in a strangers bathroom, closet and bedroom. My advice to all of you: AVOID POST LIKE THE PLAGUE. I lived at 15777 Quorum next door not too long ago and really enjoyed the place, dog park and staff. The maintenance is terrible and the prices and fees are definitely not worth it. I wouldn't say I had a terrible experience, but I wouldn't recommend living here. First of all, i paid over $950 base price for a 400+ sq ft efficiency. And don't get me started on the maintenance. It took them a month to finally fix my AC in the middle of summer. It was just a bunch of temporary solutions over and over again. The maintenance people left a mess in my apartment whenever they did work. At one point I found remnants of a fast food burger in my bathroom after they tried to fix my ac. Oh yeah, I lived on the first floor and one of my windows fell into my apartment twice! Move out is terrible, you will get charged for every little thing. Hire a third-party and dispute POST's false claims of damage or filth. Why I left, it was gonna be well over $1k to remain in an efficiency and the reasons stated above. This place isn't worth the price tag unless it steps up service. read more

My fiancé and I have lived at Post for less than a year. This is the trash chute. Obviously we have some idiots in the building who don't know how to use a trash chute. This has been an ongoing issue for MONTHS, and management won't do a thing about it except send out multiple reminder emails to EVERYONE, including normal people like me who know how to use a trash chute!!! If we get rats in our building, maybe management will do something about it!!! BTW, I live in the building with the Police Station, right on the corner by the Park. read more

After living here for 1 1/2 years I feel that I have a good gauge of living at the Post. First and foremost the property Manager, Kristin Hostick is a wonderful person who has gone above and beyond for me during my time there. Pros: - Location is nice not only for Addison but for Dallas in general. You're right next to the Tollway and can be pretty much anywhere on the eastern part of the metro-plex in 20 minutes without traffic. - Service is very quick and always does a good job. If they for some reason leave something messy or if an issue arises again, they are right back there to fix it. - There are resident events once a month that include poker nights to win money off of rent and seasonal holiday events that are great for meeting other people at the complex. - Amenities are far since there is no gym (due to the contract with the fitness club) but there are bunch of shops that vary in function (grocery, bars, food, wine, hair, mail, etc.) Cons: - Rent increases were pretty severe when our first year was up but after looking at other complexes with my girlfriend, they weren't that different in the area. - The finish is a little dated and if you want them upgraded, you have to pay a pretty penny for them to do so. - The cost per sq. ft. is also high compared to some of the others in the area and the lack of large balcony's is annoying but you're sacrificing those to live in the best area. Overall I've had a great experience at the post and plan on living here until I buy a house in a year or so. If you can't live or don't want to live in uptown, Post and Addison in general, is the next best thing in the metro-plex. read more

I was referred to by a friend who has been a tenant here for over a year now. Showed up on a Sunday after a bad experience at a different apartment complex. Had my two kids with me. They were relatively busy, but also short staffed. Everyone was friendly and assured me I would be helped next. Zoe assisted me. She was excellent with my kids and gave me a proper tour. I should have come here in the first place and not wasted time looking at others! I ended up applying the same day and had everything wrapped up within an hour. Excited to move in this weekend! It was not painted (he tried to do a quick run-through by only painting "hot spots"), outlets were loose, meetup between floor and wall not caulked, bathtub not caulked, guest bath wasn't completed (your guy forgot to put in the new O-ring and left the old one installed with the new one sitting on the bathroom counter) weather stripping was taken off and not re-installed for some reason, patio door lock didn't work (safety issue),plus a wasp nest on the upper outside corner of patio door, fan blower motor for laundry room still on back order (allegedly because nobody can tell me an update on it), dishwasher didn't work, and last but not least the FRONT ENTRY DOOR was damaged in 3 different spots, not to mention the fact it is really just a bedroom door that your team tried to rig up as an entry door. WOW. If you had done the job the RIGHT way instead of trying to cut corners, I wouldn't be taking the time to type all of this. Oh, I didn't even mention how dirty the apartment was because I knew all along, before moving just 2 doors down the hall, that your crew wasn't going to actually clean it based on how poor the service has become since MAA took over. You might want to train your office staff on time management and customer service as well - ex: if your office is to be open to the public at 9, that means your morning meeting should not be at 9, nor run-over past 9 (which is the excuse I received that day). Still confused as to how nobody saw the 6'6" guy in the window on move-in day with half of your team staring at me and acting as if they couldn't be bothered to help. The best part is, I AM A CURRENT RESIDENT AND HAVE BEEN FOR YEARS. I was waiting to see how it all turned out before completing this survey. After having to take off work (multiple times, and I'm in healthcare) for your maintenance guys to address all of the issues (they came back 5 times today alone to try and force a new front door to fit) at this point, it's truly easier (and less expensive even with cost of materials) to just fix everything on my own. I really hoped this new apartment and move-in experience would give you guys the chance to prove yourselves but, yet again, I ended up only being disappointed. read more

I have lived here for several years now and love everything about the community! There are several courtyards and pools (4 pools) to enjoy as well as a resident business center with internet, coffee and printing provided for free! The neighborhood is very walkable with multiple parks, a dog park, several restaurants, a convenient store and dry cleaning in the circle! The city also hosts some really cool events here though out the year. Most of the other residents are very nice, however some seem to have an issue cleaning up their own dog poop. Parking is free for residents, and usually I have no problem getting a covered spot behind the gate. There is also ample covered parking for guests - this is awesome b/c I lived in Uptown and for a while and guest parking is non existent there. I definitely recommend! read more

Broken glass bottles at apt entrance (4 wks and counting). Cyber Cafe is useless as there's never any toner for the printers, even though office staff swear it's on order (2 wks and counting). Btw, Staples is .3 miles away and unless you ordered toner from Bangladesh you lied. Chewing tobacco plastered on hallway walls for days on end. Residents trapped in the elevators, and even though they say they fix it it's been an issue for yrs (and counting). 'Reserved' parking spots left empty forcing actual residents to park at the top of the parking garage while convinient spots near entrances are 'reserved' and empty for yrs (and counting). Your failure in neglecting basic housekeeping and amenities has left me no choice but to share my disgust with future potential renters. read more

I lived at Post Addison Circle between 2008 and 2017, under different management. I absolutely loved it and would go back in a heartbeat. I lived in Building 6, right by the elevator (i.e. above the garbage), and it was so well kept that I could count on one hand the number of days when I noticed ... which is saying something, considering how hot it gets in Texas. The staff was always kind and responsive. The surrounding area can't be beat, and is a mini-village. The one caveat (for management) is dogs and kids with diapers in the pool. read more

Amazing location! The apartments are nice but the real reason why I am looking at this place are the activities. There seems to be a festival or celebration every weekend! A ton to do just downstairs. Pretty good resturants downstairs too.. When I took a tour the other night they had be go over to one of the Cares Team events and it was amazing. The Cares Team couple puts on multiple resident events ever month! They said they have done spiked root beer floats mixers at the pool, free happy hour events at nearby pubs, even steel city pops out at the dog park! read more

Post is nice, good location, but apartments getting old, exorbitant rent, and more-than-occasional exhibitionist neighbors (five separate units in my building alone were guilty of it -- 3 of them kept doing it after being reported), but worst of all: My neighbor was a grade 9 nuisance, I reported her, and Post's management did nothing to solve it, all continuously for SEVEN MONTHS. Here's what she did, at the most random times of day and night, and on the most random days of the week (usually weekdays): - Would play music through the walls at random hours of the night, including midnight, 1 am, 2 am, 4 am, 6 am. I banged on the walls many times, and she would keep the music going, and even sometimes banged back. - Loud conversations on her balcony with many guys, shouting and laughing, their voices reverberating around the courtyard (we both live on the inner wall that encircles it). These would recur at the most random times of day or night, such as 9 pm, 11:30 pm, 1:30 am, 3 am. - Watching movies with bass, without headphones, again at random times, some after midnight. Once I visited her and told her to turn it off, since it was 3 am. She said "It's only Harry Potter" and kept playing it. - Hooting like a fanatic at a football game, again at random times, such as 3 pm, 9 pm, 11 pm, 12 am, 1 am, 2 am - Screamed profanities about the cops from her balcony one weeknight around 11 pm after they paid her a visit. - Loudly babytalking her dog, as though nobody could hear her, while her voice reverberated around the courtyard, at 2 am, 3 am, 4 am - Stamping on the floor, banging on the wall, and her laughing coming through the walls, while playing tag or roughhouse with a lover, around 9 pm, 11 pm, 5 am. Moaning and screaming through the walls from pleasuring herself, 3 am, 5:30 am, 7:30 am, 1 pm - Yelling, crying, and banging on her door incessantly for nearly half an hour late one night when her lover locked her out. - Got a husky puppy, left it off a leash at all times, except when she went to work at a nightclub, when the puppy was put in a crate, and the puppy howled and cried like a teenage girl with anxiety disorder (if you have a husky, you know what I'm talking about). Crying happened at all hours between 5 pm, through midnight, and the AM hours, until noon, and it would stop at random intervals and then start again. This continued for 6 months. Here's what I did: - Called the police 3 or 4 times. - Called Post's courtesy patrol (off duty cops) between 30 and 40 times. - Called animal control twice. - Called Post's office almost a dozen times, leaving messages. - Visited the office 5 or 6 times to meet with both property managers. Here's what Post's management did: - Nothing for the first 3 months, since they said they didn't have proof. - Said courtesy patrol had to catch her in the act, asked me to be proactive and do the catching, rather than do it themselves. - No progress until I left a scathing message for the office threatening to post this review. - In the fifth month of this 7-month ordeal, management claimed to have become more active, said they would confront her for violating her lease, but then told me they couldn't get hold of her because she continuously wouldn't answer her phone, and they required a judge to force her to communicate with them. (Yeah, right, why not try an eviction notice? They suffered no angst giving me one when my rent was 2 days late, despite me having lived here for 8 years with no other offense.) - One of the courtesy patrol officers (an Addison cop) gave me his personal phone number, I bugged him a lot, and he eventually got the proof that management needed. My last meeting with them, they said they got the judge to 'consider' their plea, whatever that means, and they would take action against her. - I moved out two months before my contract ended, to escape it all. Post gave me no compensation and no apology. - I went back a couple of months later to see if my neighbor was still living there, and Post still hadn't evicted her. To my former neighbor: Please work on becoming more considerate of those around you, and you will have a more fulfilling life! To Post management: Please consider a spine transplant. read more

Lived there for almost 3 years. Loved the area, the park the events and being within walking distance to restaurants and shops. However, the current management of Post Addison Circle is terrible. I had a plumbing issue in the apartment about a year before moving out due to aged pipes and hardware and the apartment flooded. They refused to replace the carpet ( that was aged and had a few stains on it when I moved in). Additionally there was a mold issue ( acknowledged by maintenance) near the AC unit that distributed black mold on walls. They superficially addressed the issues finally and had the gall to request funds over the initial deposit amount for carpet repair when I moved out. Also appliances are very outdated in some of the apartments and the elevator in the building I lived in was down constantly. Not fun carrying groceries up stairs frequently living on the 4th floor The apartment management relies on the area to justify very overpriced apartments. I really loved visiting Post Addison Circle, there are so many things to love. The shops, the walkways, all the trees. I can't get over how beautiful the koi pond area is. I was really impressed with your cares team. The couple on your cares team you have are so sweet and I really feel like they are authentic. And some of the past events look so fun! The office refuses to do anything about loud neighbors. The person that lives above me has a very large dog that jumps so hard it shakes my ceiling (at all hours of the day & night) & they won't do anything unless an officer hears the noise. Once you call & the officer finally gets here 45 mins later the noise is better...then they leave & it starts again. My lease is up in a few weeks & I won't live here moving forward because they won't help with noise issues. The person & his dog above me wake me up all night long being so loud. It sounds like a drunk person trying to lift weights (that shakes my ceiling fan). These apartments aren't inexpensive, so I do except to be able to live in peace. At the last complex I lived in, this was never an issue & it was much cheaper than living here. The one positive I can give is that it is a clean complex. read more
