I'm moving out on Friday, so it's time for an official review. OVERALL - I'll give it 3 stars. The elevators are broken all the time.... BUT.. Benefit of the doubt.... This really only effects you if you have guests that park on the 2nd floor, or if you live 5th floor and above.... I luckily lived on the 4th so I was able to just park in the garage like normal. Speaking of garage, there is a gate that is opened through your toll tag.... Yet I have seen people get out of their cars and manually push the gate open, and when that happens, it is broken for DAYS... and thus, there are car break-ins frequently. Most recently, it was nearly every car on the top floor of the garage besides mine and 2 others. Having a gate that opens up instead of sideways would solve a lot of these problems, and more cameras are desperately needed in the garage. BUT.. benefit of the doubt... car break ins are unfortunately super normal in DFW, and it will be hard to find somewhere that this doesn't happen, so you can't really fault Savoye for this. (Still need more cameras tho, maybe it would help the frequency) My AC has been "broken" for nearly 6 months... it only worked when it wanted to. BUT... benefit of the doubt, during extreme weather of 112°+, it is considered an emergency and they come immediately to install a window unit. (It's now working btw, they finally replaced the whole unit. how convenient since I'm leaving) Management NEVERRRRR answers the phone. Ever. BUT, benefit of the doubt, they are pretty quick to respond to their text service. If maintenance ever take too long to address a problem, you can text them and they will expedite your request. If you work night shift, if you work from home, or if you like sleeping later at 7am, or if you are a light sleeper... the lawn service is ANNOYING. They start bright and early every Monday or Tuesday... most of time it's as early as 7am. It's so stupidly loud. Paying your rent through the UDR portal is such a scam. They charge an additional fee to process your payment. It's a percentage of your rent... so example: the additional fee on top of my rent is $48..... just to process the payment lol. Absolutely insane. So again, can't fault Savoye for this... this is because of their ownership, UDR. It's still notable though bc this is NOT normal. So- overall, Savoye has its problems like every complex, and nowhere is prefect. The maintenance team is very nice, and I feel safe when they come into my unit. As a woman who lives alone, this is super important. The complex is fairly clean. They have a team that comes a cleans the hallways, pick up trash in the garage, and it's handled pretty quickly. The location is nice... maybe a bit overpriced, but that seems to be the new trend in DFW. I would recommend Savoye if you are looking to live in the Addison area. read more

While we haven't had the experience of hallway lights going out, we are surrounded by "youth", as in tenants who don't seem to be aware that broadcasting their phone calls on speaker phone as they walk down the hallways is, in a word: rude! Not sure how speaker phone use has become so prevalent, but it's not just here - it's everywhere, so not something within Savoye, UDR or Greystar's control. On-site management doesn't seem very conscientious about lease violations occurring all over (tenants storing bikes, commercial janitorial equipment, appliances and shopvacs on their balcony's which contributes to 'tenament' vs the elevated aesthetics otherwise prevalent at Savoye. It's an improvement over the ghetto culture at the last complex where we had an apartment, but I wouldn't recommend it for older couples who're bound to find the noise irritating (we do!). Why apartment complexes don't use sound-dampening insulation along the exterior walls and between floors is confounding and we've begun to understand why carpet dominates as a flooring choice for apartment complexes - it's MUCH quieter than wood (LVP) flooring, but you can't beat the look of the wood, faux or otherwise. Appliance and amenity package at Savoye is decidedly better than most area apartments with stainless kitchen appliances and granite countertops, and the floorplans are unique, some with built-in bookcases or desks, and W/Ds in every unit. It's also a GREAT location! read more

Love long dark hallways, donating your stuff to strangers and mold? You've found your home! My unit was not cleaned when I first moved it. I mentioned it several times and they did nothing to resolve it. Lights go out in the hallways so you get walk in the dark. The lockers are often full so amazon drivers drop stuff in the room and thieves steal your packages. Location is awesome but we deserve better living conditions and treatment from management. They have zero empathy. Best of luck with your search but avoid this place and the other neighboring places, Vitruvian often has fire engines there - someone mentioned an entire floor flooded. read more

First and foremost I would like to say trigger warning for the images I'm going to share. Living here has been a terrible experience. There has been a buildup of issues since me and my husband have lived here. 1. My car was broken into A WEEK into moving in. (Picture displayed below). Made a police report with no avail. The apartment replied saying "their cameras were down during that time." Sooooo the cameras don't work.. cool. 2. Next as most of you have seen in the comments by now. The apartment is NOTORIOUS for having the fire alarmoff FOR NO REASON in the middle of the night. No fire, just alarms. And they aren't decent times like 9pm or 10pm. NOOOO it's all happening around 2am-5am. Nonstop. For 20 minutes at a time. About 4 times A NIGHT. I think they've gone off about 6 nights total since we've been here. So a total of 24 TIMES. *I wish I could add videos so y'all could hear how ridiculous it is*. No sleep, just vibes is what they're going for. 3. NEXT we've had mold growth in our washer since we've moved in, and maintenance or the leasing office is no help. The apartment smells of mildew and sitting water, and so do our clothes. They literally came in and wiped the part you could see on top . The mold is still there. Like what type of nonsense is that. *see pictures for details* 4. And THE WORST OF THEM ALL that has run us out of the savoye is bed bugs. We let the apartment know that we had bed bug because we would wake up with bites all over our body. They sent pest control out, cool. Dudes checked the mattress, pillows, bedroom and living room and told us "no bed bugs here, it must be something else getting you". So they set glue traps to try and catch whatever they are. Not even an hour after they left, my husband and I were going to wash the sheets. And we see a bed bug crawling on the comforter. And proceed to find other signs: blood stains on BRAND NEW PILLOWS (3 weeks ago from the time this happened) and more bed bugs. We captured evidence and was told that they aren't bed bugs and to "try and catch them in the glue traps for sampling". WHAT. We got a second opinion from James McNeece. AN EXCELLENT, service manger from the Evolve pest control company. We told we definitely had bed bugs and needed to get treatments started because one pregnant female is an infestation. The savoye did not offer us any help in this matter. Left us to fend for ourselves. Didn't offer to relocate us to another unit or put us in a hotel. Just making small actions to keep from getting a lawsuit. We are only JUST NOW getting a treatment done AFTER THREE WEEKS of suffering. Moral of the story is: save your money, this place is NOT "luxury living". All you'll be paying for is more stress and no sleep. p.s. they don't alert nearby units of possible bed bug infestations you have to do it yourselves. Do not even consider to look at these apartments. The management company is the absolute worst. They make you replace your own light bulbs and air filters even the filter in your refrigerator! That should be part of your rent. You can never actually speak to anyone in the office they always have a recording. And there never seems to be anyone in the leasing office to help you out. They always tell you to go online! I'm sorry what are you doing here all day?? The new cleaning crew is terrible. They are extremely lazy. They do not clean I've seen them on a regular bases on their phone or hiding out in the closet. The stairwell we use every single day is so dirty it's gross! The only thing we do like is the park. Savoye is a great addition to the Vitruvian Park community. It's fairly quiet and a great getaway from the hustle and bustle of downtown. Chris and the other office staff and maintenance team members work hard at what they do & respond timely to text messages. Some of the tenants could do a better job of keeping common areas clean (hallways, parking garage) & use common courtesy. My hope is that as things become more automated we continue to be able to get in person communication with the office as it makes a difference when it comes to a sense of community and customer service. read more

Besides the West Nile virus health concerns roaming, the smell of weed in the hallways, the loud noises at the pool that got the police involved a month ago, the constant noise from neighbors that the office doesn't seem to really care about stopping despite complaints , the low battery smart lock that YOU have to replace, the cheap walls and floors, a pretty much guaranteed +300 dollar rent increase for a lease renewal, and the seemingly always broken gates this place is great ! read more

I lived here for 5 years and it was never a positive experience. I stayed because moving was not financially possible at the time. In 2020 in the midst of Covid, lauren told me savoye was not willing to renew my lease, when we (have two kids) had really no other options at the time. She said the staff had disagreements with my husband but couldn't give me names or examples. In the end she did allow our renewal but only after a bunch of emails. The exterior looks nice but the apartments are cheap and not worth they are charging. Elevator's broken for 2 years, dog poop and urine all over the buildings, unresponsive and rude management, mold, crime, and overpriced. read more

Update: April, the nice view isn't an excuse for the poor condition of the apartment in certain areas. Yes, your team has come out 5 or 6 times, BUT not everything was completed or fixed. There's still issues. Just because your team came out doesn't mean it was fixed. If someone wants to call me about these issues that would be great. Preferably your manager, and not Wes. Thank you. For over $1,700 a month you get an apartment that has stains in the carpet, the previous tenants hair in the restroom, the previous tenants earrings in the carpet, poor paint job, dirty toilet and floor, grime, carpet that's lifting up and much more! Basically, with all that money you can a pay a month here, you get a filthy apartment that's far from luxury. Yes, they were noticed. Yes, they came out 6 times to clean the apartment. Avoid this place at all cost! AVOID. A year ago before I signed the lease, I read these Yelp reviews. Stupid me, decided to still sign a lease. BIGGEST regret! We moved out before our lease ended because we closed on a house. Only lived in this apartment for less then a year. Now I have this Bill for charges. One being "to clean carpets" spoke with billing which has to be done all via email. Savannah from billing basically said "carpets wernt clean enough and needed to be steam Cleaned" however my husband and I steam cleaned the two carpeted areas before moving out. She wanted proof of using a service to clean. Since we own a steam cleaner, we didn't have "proof" that we used a service. So she said sorry, they weren't clean. AS STATED in the in lease agreement we were supposed to be provided a final walkthrough. That was never done! We were never given proof of any of these charges. The second charge was for patching the walls. Which is odd since we patched all of our nail holes prior to move out. AGAIN in multiple emails I asked savannah about the charge on patching the walls and she never addressed the charge. She was focused on the cleaning of the carpets. So again we have no walk out report, no final walkthrough, no picture proof of these charges. UDR is a SCAM! How can you charge tenants on move out but provide absolutely no explanation or proof of such charges. I REPEAT don't make the same mistake I did by signing a lease. No matter how clean you may be, you will be charged for something. It's all about making money. ATTACHED OUR PICTURES OF THE CONDITION OF OUR APARTMENT ON MOVE in. Just think about the last tenants who probably were charged 100s and the apartment was never fixed prior to us moving in. Such a joke! Update review: It's now almost 2 full years since I've lived here and I still love this place! I'm still reading everyone's reviews and it just seems like the people who have had bad experiences just keep posting reviews which makes me sad because this is a wonderful place to live! Like all apartments, there is wear, tear and issues however my roommate and I are blessed to have a wonderful home here! The A.C. unit almost flooded last summer but that's about it because we called maintenance and they fixed it and mopped our floor. Thank God for our stained concrete floors! The saddest thing that did happen was that the City of Addison now prohibites Savoye tenants from parking at their parking lot overnight (between the hours of 2am-5am) which is not good because we always parked our cars outside since it was closer to our apartment. This just happened maybe 5-6 months ago. I wish Savoye could just buy that parking lot on Park Rd so more tenants can park there overnight like we used to. Joseph and Aisha are still wonderful, kind and make living here such a joy! The community events and tenant events are still awesome and I've never had a bad experience with customer service here at Savoye! Warnings: Vitruvian West is about to be finished so traffic may be a little hectic soon but traffic doesn't bother me. Also. Vitruvian lights I heard that traffic is pretty bad during that season but I've always planned my schedule about that time so in the past 2 winters I haven't had to deal with that issue. Some of the tenants are pretty nasty by hanging out their draws on their balconies for everyone in the park to see. No worries, someone always reports them and they get fined. Another thing, just go to the front desk if you have minor issues. Calling isn't the best idea unless it's an emergency because they are usually busy so every time I've needed help, I stop by the front desk and I always get helped out. Overall, nothing happens to my apartment and once I put in a service request, it gets fixed within 1-2days even if it a really minor issue like a lightbulb needs to be replaced. Residents are loud and the property generally feels unsafe. Beware of ridiculous charges to nickel and dime you upon move out. My apartment was kept spotless and I have no pets, yet I was charged for carpet cleaning. When I called billing and explained that I had numerous pictures of the apartment that I took upon move out (posted here), the woman I spoke to was rude and basically said she didn't care. I started my apartment search in Addison last week and ran into some old dated apartments, rude leasing staff members, and false advertising on websites. So I was so relieved when I found Savoye. It fit my budget, the buildings are gorgeous, and the staff was so friendly! Particularly Nicole on the leasing team. She was so friendly and personable. She listened to my concerns and I never get like she was just trying to get my sale. Even after signing, she's been super helpful and is very responsive in any email/calls that I make to her. Do not know how to talk with the exception of one or two. In my experience they have been helpful, polite and friendly until a lease is signed. Once you are locked on a lease, It's downhill from that point on. Maintenance is good but now they are understaffed .. Absolutely not worth what you pay. I would actually give a 4.5 but we cannot give .5 stars. I have been a resident for quite a period of time and actually almost didn't move in due to the negative reviews. I came and visited the property several times and took a couple of tours. Thankfully, I trusted my visits to the park and the complex and thought it was a good location. IT IS!!! I am a resident that uses the gym regularly and think it is one of the best I have seen. I love that it is large, has many cardio machines (they just upgraded and got new equipment too), free weights, medicine balls, Smith machine, cable machines, and many other weight machines. There is rarely more than a few people in the large space at one time. The space is kept relatively clean and people respect the equipment. They also have a local trainer you can hire if you are interested in that type of training. In addition, there are free classes for residents given on occasion too. The concierge staff is so friendly and helpful. They always offer a friendly hello. The only negative I have had is that people tend to wait at the gate and follow people that have paid for gated parking through the gate. There are times where the gate is broken for days at a time, and it is frustrating because some residents pay to have this extra layer of security. Again, this is a minor thing, but it is frustrating that so many take advantage of what some residents actually pay for. Vitruvian Park is a great perk. Also, if you are an animal lover, there is a BIG four legged resident following here and they have a great place on the ground floor to take care of your pooch during the day...CityDog Club (I believe that is the correct name). I love walking by and seeing all the happy furry friends. They also have a great newly updated club room, a nice business center, and a couple of coffee machines with Starbucks coffee located in both Savoye and Savoye 2. They have a nice variety of floor plans and you can also rent additional storage space if needed. While I previously mentioned the gated parking, which is a small additional fee, I believe you can also pay for an assigned parking space. They also have a package room where you pick up packages too large for your mail box (mail room requires key fob and is located on a higher floor for additional security). The package room does require a very small fee and will charge you if you do not pick up your package in a couple of days. It is very convenient and they send you a text message with your code and reminders. There is also a bar located on the bottom floor of Savoye 2 on the park side. I have been there and it is OK. Apparently it is going through some management changes and has potential to be a good place to grab a bite and a drink without having to call UberEats or driving somewhere. Resident demographic is very diverse and friendly...I personally dig it! Enjoy y'all! read more

PSA: When YOUR Savoye apartment is broken into and burglarized, YOU, and not the apartment, are on the hook for the cost of door replacement. If this concerns you, and it should (since there have been 3-4 burglaries on the 3rd floor of Savoye this year alone and 2 in the past week), I recommend you call your renters insurance provider and ask what they cover SPECIFICALLY, since some renters insurance policies do not cover property damage. When the unthinkable happens, Management at Savoye will offer little to no help whatsoever and pass you on to the Addison Police and UDR's legal team. Why? It's all in the lease agreement you signed, buddy. And what if you want to move out of your apartment after a harrowing experience like this? Easy. Provide 60 days' notice and a termination fee equivalent to your monthly rent x2. Along with getting burglarized, expect to pay an additional $5000+ in damages and termination fees, and spend another two months in an apartment where someone may have been watching your every move. In an effort to end this post on a positive note, I will give parting thanks to the community here for being largely supportive and thanks to the Concierge Manager Joseph for compensating for the lack of proper management at Savoye. Good business is showing your customer you truly care, and Joseph has consistently delivered in this regard. There are certain members of management, regardless of their degrees and feel-good titles, that could learn a thing or two from you. I have lived here for three years and the rent has always been high. Must be paying for luxury amenities right? Well...the outdoor fireplaces haven't worked in a year and they make YOU replace the light bulbs, change the smart lock battery, and rarely follow through on major repairs. But I've actually loved living here...until fall 2022. In spring 2022 there were multiple cases of cars being vandalized in the parking garage because the automatic gate is crap and rarely works. Well the rent went up like I was expecting...fine ok. Fall comes. How does the NEW MANAGEMENT decide to improve life here? What's the thing that hits them as *ding!* they'll all want to renew their lease now! Go ahead and guess I'll wait...you're gonna love this! The management at the savoye decided to make an "arrangement" with either an impound lot or towing company, and by god there won't be any more vandalism because they're looking for ANY reason to tow you. The registration on car was out by one month. The towed me to a lot. I had no choice but to have my 7 year old and 4 year old wait in the line with me for two hours, and then I had to pay $390 to get my car out. The registration on my car was expired and so my home - they didn't notify residents that the savoye is now getting a kickback from the towing company and so here are a list of expectations. That still would have been crappy but I would have respected it. Instead on one of the two days on the weekend I get my boys I had to spend it with the boys in line to pay $400 to get my car back so I could park at my freaking home! You should not have to worry whether you're car will be there the next day when you are in your home. I went in and told the people at the front desk that it's pretty clear there's a deal with the towing companies, and the person said (no really!) "I CANT DENY THERE IS ONE". I told him id been here three years and this isn't right. He said "well times change." If I could get a local news affiliate to care about this story I would do anything to keep people from moving here. It's just wrong. Oh almost forgot...I was in a hurry one day and left a bag of trash in the trash chute room and got fined $25. Ok fine...but on a daily basis some people with pets will let the dog take a massive dump on the public hallway carpet and juuuuust leave it...for days. read more

This place is a SCAM! The tour you are given highlights the "luxurious" amenities, social areas, a defunct market (it hasn't opened before we moved in or when we left) and Vitruvian Park. What they DON'T tell you is about their mold issues. Mold coming thru the showerhead, kitchen sink, around the toilet. I mentioned it to the property manager and he blamed the city of Addison. So apparently, the tainted water issue is bigger than your luxurious apartment and you don't mention it to your tenants?! Maintenance issues: they came when I sent a maintenance request promptly but it doesn't mean they know what they are doing. One maintenance guy replied that he just looks on YouTube to fix the appliances in the apartments. SMDH Our washing machine "apparently" disconnected itself from the connection line and spewed water into the wall, through our closet and destroyed some of our clothing & shoes. The management relunctently put us up in one their rental suites and tried to botch the job to move us back in. I took pictures and complained that we weren't moving back in until EVERYTHING was cleaned and updated in the closet. They literally tried to "blow" out mold lol I had to make them replace the carpet, the lining underneath, baseboard and paint it. The property manager thought I was lying because his staff said it was done...I had to bring him inside my closet and pull up the carpet myself to show him. What a great experience all around! From the beginning, when I went to look, Aisha Perry was so helpful even though I was really early on looking for a place she kept me up to date by texting me open apartments that fit my needs. When I signed the lease the entire staff and Joseph was helpful in letting me use their computers and moving dolly to easily go up and down the hallways. David, the maintenance man, has been so kind in fixing the smallest things and even coming to change our locks at midnight to make sure we felt safe. I rarely write reviews, but I am definitely frustrated. I moved here several weeks ago and I noticed that this place has a bad roach problem. I tried to work with them, they have fumigated several times and it has not worked. I am really frustrated. I asked to be moved to another apartment and I been ignored. This place is a $30,000 a year millionaire apartment building LOL. When you sign on a lease they are very nice, but after they lock you in, they are rude. They never return calls, and seems like they are there to socialize with each other more than work. I walked into a DIRTY apartment with cheese and breadcrumbs on the table. I also found cat litter in the toilet, and urine on the inside of the toilet seat lid..... YUCK!!!! Not to mention the smell in the hallways, it really stinks! Overall nice building with a great location. The office staff was a bit lacking in follow up and follow through. Calling the after hours emergency number is a joke. On two separate occasions the office staff blamed the 3rd vendor for not relaying the messages. The final straw for not renewing was getting my renewal offer with a $35 increase but my exact same layout on a higher floor was on their website for $100 less a month and a move-in special. read more

I'm a long time resident at Savoye and Fiori here. I am disappointed with how they treated me after my last lease ended. Hustling me for another couple hundred bucks in "cleaning" fees and such is typical, but the way that they condescended me in explaining these fees and talked to me like a child is not necessary. For those considering renting here: The property is beautiful but they have CONSTANT issues with community spaces and the staff is not in the business of making this place your home. UDR does not under what being customer centric means - at any level. Do not rent here!!! read more

Its a real disappointment when you realize that you have not discerned well. The initial sales job is well plotted and the hype and lies are well hidden. The response to maintenance is slow (6 months without a dishwasher) Roaches are at infestation level. Staff never can respond , they are seemingly robots to the system. Their response is always "go online" and that avenue is extremely frustrating and youre going to be ignored. All I can say is you have been warned. It saddens me that the negative, but truthful reports are placed in a hidden area of reviews. read more

I have lived at the Savoye now for a little under a month and we could not be happier! Great secure spot with an awesome park for our dog and I feel safe walking around in the evening time alone. Joseph took care of all of our needs upon move-in and couldn't have been nicer about ensuring our apartment had everything we requested. We love our unit and have had great interactions with the leasing office agents as well as the maintenance staff. The building is in a great central location to everything - grocery stores, Target, Beltline Center, etc., so we get a great 'tucked away' vibe at home being in a neighborhood and then can venture into the city area when we like.
