Frankly, I'm surprised that I'm the first to write a review here…read more I called DFW Septic back at the end of Dec. 23. Our septic had backed up and overflowed and after handling all the damage control we needed someone to come and pump. Now, a little background here. I have experience working with contractors and handymen on 2 continents, and I have been fighting the Yelp battle for good service for over a year now, whilst I tried to get my house ready to sell. Also, keep in mind that this was the last week of the year, and most businesses were shutdown for the holidays. That being said, and this is going to sound funny, but it was the people who pumped my septic who gave me the best customer service I've ever received. No joke. Andrea (who handles the appointments over the phone) was warm, personable, and SO very considerate. She said they were pretty well booked, but when I explained my emergency, she somehow managed to fit me in just before the weekend! She kept me updated every step of the way. When Austin (hope I got his name right) arrived, he was the ideal of what everyone who hires a contractor hopes arrives at their home. He was on time, courteous, professional, friendly. He dug up the holes without any complaint. (Which wasn't easy, as I was his fourth customer of the day, and there were roots like you wouldn't believe.) And he chatted with me like we were old friends while he took extra time to rinse out the effluent tank. They really are just a small family, business, I found out, who own the truck and decided to go into this line of work after their own septic 'refunded' on them. TLDR: All in all, DFW Septic did everything right, and I only wish they were in a different line of work, so I could call upon their services more often!

We've had unreliable services for the past two years since starting service with them. Everyone we…read morespoke with was very polite however, nothing changed with addressing our concerns. We were to receive services for our aerobic septic system once every 4 months. Our first visit was on time as scheduled. The second visit they were only a month late. We never called to ask about that since things can happen and they did show up. The third never occurred for 8 months. We didn't think about it until the 8th month and had to call them. They had to extend our service. Every visit after that required a reminder phone call due to it being one to two months overdue. Now we're paying attention and there's no chance of us missing a visit since we have security camera's around our home. Our last contact with Garrett Aerobics Septic Systems was to notify them of another late service and that we would not be renewing our contract with them due to the unreliable service. My wife spoke with Brenda, the Operations Manager, who sent someone out to take care of the late service. Both Brenda and the technician were polite however, the technician didn't have chlorine tabs, which we were paying an extra $75 per year to have completed with each visit. He ended up using some that we had on hand and also stated he had some other customers after us. I hope they weren't paying for that additional service as well. My wife called back to let Brenda know the technician didn't have chlorine tabs and had to use ours. She stated they would extend our service which included one more visit. That extra visit never happened. Due to the unreliability of this company, it does raise the question whether we ever received chlorine tabs during the time they were servicing our septic system or how many services might not have been completed if we weren't monitoring.

We used this company when we moved into our house because the previous owners did. Over the course…read moreof living here for just over a year now, we've had to have them out here at least 5 times for different issues. I've never lived in a house with septic so I did not understand until now that this is NOT normal. At one point I asked if there was something we were doing wrong or if there's certain maintenance/care things we need to do to avoid having them come out so much. I was given a very unhelpful response by the office woman to not use our garbage disposal. The last straw came this week. We had a new pump put in by Garrett in May. When we had another company out here earlier this week to pump the tank, he said that the pump on the system was overheating. So we got Garrett back out here, and they replaced the faulty pump because it was still under warranty but then called us to charge us for the labor!!! So we had to pay $300 for them to replace a faulty pump that they put in. It's not our fault that they put in a defective pump, so why should I have to pay for the labor? Will never use this company again.
