The service here has always been stellar, and in a COVID-19 world it's no different. Upon arrival, clients should either text Tonie or call the front desk number that is posted on the door. When Tonie is ready, she will escort you back to her salon. She's allowing time in between clients to ensure proper cleaning. And of course, everyone needs to wear masks. I felt safe and comfortable returning. I've already lined up my next appointment!

I have patches…read moreof brow hair missing from auto-immune disease, so I HAVE to get them tinted so that they show up better on my face. My brow hair color also happens to be quite a bit lighter than my brunette hair, and so getting them darker really helps with my overall face profile. The waxing job was wonderful! The shape was perfect - we went with my natural shape and just cleaned up around outside. The tint color was exactly what I wanted (though sadly my brow hair doesn't hold tint very long...sniffles). My brows looked fabulous and dark and well-shaped and didn't require me adding any pencil filler to them for at least 3-4 days (which is a miracle). It's been almost a month since my service, so of course the tint has mostly faded at this point. But there's still enough there that I can see where to fill in the rest of the brow. She took the time to answer my questions regarding her other services, including my inquiry on the pain level of micro-blading...which she says isn't all that bad for the average person. Aside from the waxing services and micro-blading, she offers lash lift and tint, which I hope to be back for in the future as finances allow. Jacki is located inside a hair salon off Downing St and NOT at the University location that will still show up in a Google search. Just go to Peachy Clean's website for the location. As a heads up, the waxing and the tint ARE priced separately and not in a package deal like many salons offer. The price of the two services separately will not allow me to go to her location as often as I'd like, but her work is totally worth it if you can budget in the wax/tint once every 3-4 weeks. The salon location is also located in a neighborhood near the university, so plan for street parking. There are fun little cafes to hang out at if you need to arrive early to get a spot and then wait for an appointment. Highly recommended.

While I didn't mind the trainee's help, it quickly became apparent that she was doing most of my hair--she handled half the root touch-up, the toning, washing, and half the blow-dry while Connie juggled another client at the same time next to me. I wasn't sure who was really in charge of my appointment. The biggest issue came at checkout when I was surprised with an additional $71 charge for a blow-dry. I had no prior explanation of this fee, and when I asked about it, I was told I could've left with wet hair if I didn't want the blow-dry. This charge seemed unreasonable, especially after already paying $125 for the root touchup. ($125 for a root touch up with no blow dry?!?!) The lack of transparency was very annoying. The staff tried to upsell me throughout my visit--suggesting brow services and conditioning treatments. While I understand they want to offer additional services, it felt a bit pushy and made the experience feel more like a cheap salon rather than a professional setting. While the color itself was decent, I'd recommend making sure you ask about all fees and services upfront if you decide to go. It seems like communication and transparency could be improved.

Making someone's eyebrows 2000s thin is something you might wanna clear with them beforehand in 2025. Then when it comes time to leave they don't have enough bills for the change the woman in front of me needs so they tell her they have to give it to her in quarters unless she has exact change. She fishes through her bag for a good 5 minutes before I can finally pay and leave angry. And the wifi is down so this annoying visit didn't even count towards my rewards.

Second - expect great latency when trying to reach management or ownership. I'm not sure why, but it took me several emails and follow up to get answers & to cancel the membership. And yes, emails ... no phone number available nor provided when pressed to actually speak with the shop owner/manager. Third - training seems to be an issue. The staff at the shop are slow and appear to be learning. After 2 services that each lasted about 40 plus minutes, I could not take any more pain. Training the staff would show up in quick, efficient, and comfortable services. This is not the staff's fault, but management for not training & inspecting their team. Overall, I do not recommend this place for hair removal - it painful, long & confusing with pricing/membership that the team doesn't even understand.
