On Monday October 14th our alternator on or pickup went out and we were stuck on the side of the road .We had a different tow company come and tow us 3.5 miles to a hotel in Valle, AZ. That guy was amazing. On the morning of Tuesday October 15th we called Adams Tow Company to pick us and our truck up and take us to their shop . They did arrive promptly and towed us to their shop. Over the phone He quoted us $300 for a trip and then upon arrival to the shop we were told the amount would be $420 ($10 a mile and $125 service fee) even thought he knew how far we had to go and he still ended up , up charging us. He's attitude was very unpleasant the entire time. As we arrived to the shop we had to wait awhile for the mechanic to arrive since he was in flagstaff picking up parts and an alternator for us. Now he was good. He got the alternator installed quickly and did an amazing job. But we were definitely not happy with the towing aspect of the company and his up charge. I would highly recommend Adam's Automotive repair shop but not recommend their towing service. read more

They are very pleasant and worked with me..they were very polite when they informed me that that the 80 mile rescue would keep me from eating for the next 2 months LOL .I like they say rescue..The driver was fabulous. I had to address your signs all over the place regarding the credit card fee. Why do you think the card company charges YOU the merchant that fee and not the consumer? Is it because the credit card company feels sorry for the consumer , no it is charged to the merchant as a convenience to that business, which also ensures you get paid all while opening up the door for more customers and it also ensures you won't be scammed by someone writing a bad check. But, as we all know, hardly anyone takes a personal check anymore because of that reason. That is what utilizing the credit card system did for YOU the merchant. I will break this down a little for you, I think you know but are playing stupid. If someone is driving through town and gets hungry, they have the option to go to a restaurant that does not charge that fee (if any actually charge that fee as I have never seen it anywhere in AZ), they have the option to leave and go to the next restaurant. But when it comes to your line of work, they don't have that option 100% of the time, their car is broken down. Now factor in if they broke down someplace far away, they will be paying a tow charge of $200 to $300+ to get the car brought in, and unless they have a brand new vehicle (under warranty) they are more than likely not going to bring it to a dealership. And being you do auto repairs, which I am certain your driver will have told them. They probably go "Whew, I don't have to figure out where to bring it as I am not from around this area". Are you seeing the differences yet. I would also like to point out, how many people do you know that are not drug dealers that walk around with $800 to a $1,000 in their pockets? How many especially if travelling through have that kind of cash in their pockets, or even access to there banks? Like Wells Fargo, Chase, CitiBank, etc... Many people especially out of towners do not necessarily utilize any of the major banks, nor do they utilize our local banking system, like NBofA they are probably using a local bank in their area or a local credit union. I did want to touch on the point regarding the diagnostic fee, especially when someone had another place diagnose it. I will say that one made me laugh out loud. If the other mechanic said I had a leaky radiator, and you found it to be a frost plug, well, how do I know that you didn't just throw the frost plug onto the bill, as the other mechanic said it was a radiator leak. Are you trying to suggest, only YOU and no one else is capable of diagnosing a problem, Huh? I bring that up as I recently called you regarding installing a part, and I was told you don't do estimates over the phone. I knew what was wrong, but yet you could not give me a quote on how much it would cost me to have the part replaced, not even a ball park price (like $300 to $400, etc.). Because you wanted that diagnostic fee of $150, the scanners run about $500 and some high end ones costing around a $1,000. And they can get the answer to the vehicles check engine light issue within 5 minutes? So a $150 for 5 minutes of your time? Doing a little math, 5 diagnostic tests for customers basically paid for a high end unit. Every time after that is pure rip off. Probably why AutoZone doesn't charge to do that in their parking lot, as they value its customers, and probably hope the customer then buys the replacement part at their place (with no fee on using a credit card). So once again, you should clearly on this page and anywhere else you advertise state BIG BOLD LETTERS that you charge a fee to use a credit card. Because nowhere on this Yelp site do you state that, and nor do you on the webpage. That is borderline maybe not even borderline deception. And your tow truck drivers should also be telling customers that are being towed that your shop does the work, but they are going to pass the credit card fee on to you the customer. Vegas use to do the same thing with their Resort Fee scam, yeah, they were forced by the Federal government that they have to disclose that resort fee before the customer pays not at check out. I read your response, The snap-on Zues which supports domestic, european and asian markets is about $6,000, so not believing you purchased that particular model, while Zeus Black Car Diagnostic Tool & Information System, is priced at $2,500. And the annual subscription price is $92 dollars a month, now that is for the top tier unit. So now that we got that out of the way. Read above, I did use your services.. And as stated above, nowhere on your website does it state that credit cards will be accessed a fee, also based on your comment about every gas station or restaurant applies a fee to use a credit card, that told me you are commenting out of California where they are probably at this very moment trying to figure out how they can charge people for breathing, I use to live there.. read more

If I could give it -5 stars I would. First off the women at the front desk "Connie" is rude, cusses on the phone about her car being dirty and srates "well i guess i have to go fucking clean my car" and "i dont know who is fucking around" when referring to a truck driver coming and helping their stranded clients at the hotel that they dropped us off at 2 days before, knowing full well that uber and lyft do not go this far out. She referred me to a can company and got upset at me when the cab company didnt respond. She then ignored me when I asked her a question about the bill, shut the door in my face and then has the ovaries to try to make small talk to distract me from the fact that they over charged about $50 due to the checkout system they choose to deal with was charging them a fee to use it. I was not quoted that charge and how is it the clients problem if the pos system Adams Towing and Auto Repair went with charges them to us testimated. This fee was not even added to my estimate so you know they do shady dealings This is a terrible business and I would have rather waited longer for someone to actually help me a d not rape me with hidden charges and the ugliest person running the front desk. Never will do business with you again!!! 0/10 would recommend. Short summary make sure you hire professionals to work for your business and don't choose credit card companies who are going to charge you extra to charge out a client or make sure you list it in your estimates. read more

My mom and I drove from Nevada to stay in Williams, Az. My husband's van had a sensor issue that was effecting the ban's operation - engine light and very little power. My husband called around and Adam's Automotive was willing to take a look at it immediately. The problem was diagnosed and a part was ordered. Skylar kindly drove us in to Williams so we could check into a hotel. Adam's got the part, installed it, test drove the van, and reset the codes. Skylar came to collect us at the hotel and then got us on our way. The people at Adam's are very understanding of how stressful it is to have a car issue when you are away from home and traveling for what is supposed to be a carefree vacation. I have been in the towing business for 20 years, I have worked in California and I have owned towing businesses in Oregon and Pennsylvania so I know a lot about the towing and repair business. There are three ways you can get something done, Adams can do them two ways. The ways a job can get done are FAST, GOOD AND CHEAP. Adams is FAST, they will come to get you right away as they aren't that busy, they are well trained and have very nice, expensive equipment so they are GOOD in that sense. When it comes to the money however, they are very far from cheap or even fair. Their rates fro light duty towing are rates that nearly the rest of America charges to tow motorhomes and box trucks. They wanted me to pay $445 to tow a 1/2 ton pickup FROM THEIR GARAGE (didn't have any to scene miles) ti a dealership 32 niles away. That's highway robbery. That tow costs half that anywhere else. read more

towing was performed by Adams towing in Williams Arizona, the problem I have is that the driver told me that I had to pay the difference for the mileage, said that my roadside assistance would only pay for 1mile which was the repair facilities home address and not the repair facility which was only 8 miles away, I didn't know how much my roadside service paid but I had to pay an extra 100 dollars for the towing service. I found out later that my roadside assistance would've paid for all of it so I guess I got scammed by them. hope nobody else gets stuck with them, they took me to Emergency Response which is right behind them in a junkyard and they are not very good either, finally got out of there and got it repaired in town. Would not suggest using them at all. read more

I had 2 tires blow out On my horse trailer along I-40 and was stranded. Tyson from Adams Automotive came to our rescue and went so far as to arrange overnight accommodations for our horses and he then located tires for us and got them mounted and on our way. Russ and all the good people at Adams Automotive saved our bacon when our van broke down during our family's trip to Williams! They do it all and can be reached after hours to discuss your situation and getting your vehicle there! Since their repair shop was closed for the night and we broke down in our hotel's parking lot I opted to have it towed over first thing the next morning and within a couple of hours I got a text with an itemized list of what needed to be done, parts and labor costs along with a very easy work authorization agreement that you simply sign on your phone. They had our van back up and running perfectly within 3 hours after I signed the work order and Russ even drove over and picked me up from my hotel so I didnt need to take a taxi or anything to pick it up. When Russ called me to tell me it was done I asked the dreaded "Is there anything else that looks like its going to cause us problems?" He simply made some suggestions of things that I should consider doing sooner than later when we get home but quickly followed up with "but no, nothing else is wrong." He could have totally taken advantage in that moment but was honest as ever the whole time. Everyone at the shop was beyond polite and friendly. Great honest people that do solid work for a very fair price. Cant recommend them highly enough. I honestly wish there were some way to give the a better rating. My family and I are now safely back home in Southern California and our van ran perfectly the entire 7 hours it took us to get home. Thank you Russ and everyone at Adams Automotive and Towing. Imagine just finishing up a 19 mile hike into and out of the Grand Canyon as the sun is quickly going down. Emotions flying high, we get back to our van in the parking lot, only to find that it will not start. Recruiting other tourists to help give us a jump was of no use. Temperatures started to dip into the teens, there were no rangers or anybody else around, so we called Russ at Adams Automotive. He was on another tow but assured us he'd be over as soon as he could. Sure enough, a little bit later we saw the lights on his massive tow truck coming straight for us. Him and his partner swiftly hooked up the van and got us out of a very hard and scary night. My husband and I were stranded in Williams with an electric vehicle and the wrong adapter for the chargers available to us and Adam who could've talked us into a tow from Williams to Flagstone spent several phone calls helping us figure out a way to charge our vehicle instead. I'm still in shock He had zero concern that an infant, baby and 2 toddlers were stuck in our car with a popped tire. Gave me the finger and drove off. Our car had a gas tank value issue that didn't allow gas to enter the tank from the pump while we were at the Grand Canyon. Called Adams and said that we potentially needed a tow. The owner immediately sent a truck our way and tried to walk us through potential fixes over the phone. One of the potential fixes ended up temporarily working and the guy even called the tow truck back without charging us a thing! We went into the shop just to be cautious and the gentlemen there ran our codes and was able to turn our check engine light off, again, no charge at all for anything! I broke down on 89 at around Paulden, Arizona, now it was a Sunday, holiday weeken, called Triple A for a tow. I needed to get back to Phoenix, since I was leaving town the next day. Everything was closed and hard founding anyone to tow me back, I had my wife and 2 kids and 2 dogs, Triple A was great and found my Adams towing, but their communication was terrrible, never told me that the rate they were charging me, was a flat rate based of not shorest route back but the longest route from Flagstaff and never substract the rate that Triple A contacted them out.
