The name might be a personal bias for me but Adam's Mountain Cafe is a cozy escape from the elements with large portions and a wide variety of entrees to serve all guests! Vegan options for both Breakfast and Lunch menus though I got Heuvos Rancheros which turned out great with well-rounded flavor and warmth. The latte was good and the first ive ever received with a design made from the creamer. I also tried their Snowcapped cider which is on par with angry orchard on draft! I sat at the counter last night and decided to try a vegan dish because they all looked so good. I got the Buddha bowl with crusted tofu. It was amazing. Every bite was packed with flavor. I ate slowly because it was so good...rare for me. The young guy behind the counter was very nice and he made me a Bloody Mary that was exceptional. 10 out 10. What a cute place! The interior was absolutely FILLED with gorgeous impressionistic styled paintings, which was maybe my favorite part! I felt like I was in a local art museum and only wish I'd had a chance to learn more about collection. I ordered Rockey's Special (toast, poached eggs, seasonal fruit). It came looking like the most aesthetic breakfast plate I've seen in my life. I felt like I was at a fancy tea shop! I loved the artful arrangement of the fruit. The main disappointment was I had asked for butter on the side, and the toast came both buttered and with butter on the side. Both my partner and I wonder if they have some kind of vegan butter substitute because it did not taste or smell like butter, and this place seems health conscious. Our waiter was kind enough to bring me dry toast when I pointed it out. Where this place really shined though was the lasagna meal. It was so fresh and flavorful with heart chunks of tomato and the right amount of cheese (more like true Italian versus Americanized versions that just drip with melted cheese). Nice and varied menu, with vegan options, which is appreciated. Eclectic and unique drink menu, with a great happy hour. Waitstaff are super friendly and went out of their way to accommodate a specific request that one of our party members had. That being said, it's a bit unusual that they were in absolutely no hurry to clear our table in between courses. Appetizer dishes were still on the table by the time they brought the main course, and then our main dishes were still on the table by the time they brought our dessert. Not enjoyable to have dirty dishes left on the table. The happy hour was nice, cocktails were only eight dollars and appetizers were half price. However, it literally took about 15 to 20 minutes to receive our drinks, even though the restaurant was not completely full. It almost seemed like they were taking their time so that there was no time to order a second drink before happy hour expired. The main dishes took less time to prepare and bring to the table than the drinks did. All of that being said, the food was delicious! Everyone enjoyed their meal, the appetizers and the drinks. Ate here for the first time, and last time, on 3/17/2026. We arrived after the lunch rush around 1:15 and were seated fairly quickly. But we waited at least 15 minutes to be acknowledged by our waiter. I ordered the Senegalese Vegetables with brown rice and my friend ordered the Cashew Chicken Salad. The food did come out fairly quickly. Her meal arrived looking like you would expect, a scoop of chicken salad on some salad greens & a roll, though she stated the chicken salad was more of a ground chicken instead of chunks, and that she would not order it again. When mine arrived it looked like a bowl of soup, peanut sauce soup. My friend actually asked me if I had ordered soup! There was maybe 1/4 cup of brown rice swimming in the sauce in the bottom of the bowl and a handful of very tiny cooked down vegetables in the "soup". While the flavor was good from what the waiter described I was expecting cooked vegetables over rice with a peanut sauce on it, not literally drowning in it. From the numerous pictures of this dish online (from their restaurant) what I received was not the norm. At $20 kind of pricey for a bowl of spicy vegetarian soup. Thought their menu on the whole was on the pricey side even by todays standards. Would not eat there again, nor recommend. read more

We've driven by Adam's numerous times and never saw it before. Best to follow the directions. They do have many vegan options but not a lot of gluten free, maybe more than most? The atmosphere is woodsy and clean and quiet. Parking is ample. My husband liked the Bahn mi. I got the Tibetan bowl. Lots of veggies and not a lot of rice. The tofu was tasty. But something just lacked in the dish. The flavour was ok but maybe it needed more nuts. Now that we know where it is we'll try it again. This is such a cute breakfast spot in manitou springs and it's mostly vegan food! I was blown away by all of the vegan options, but they also offer nonvegan foods as well. They have a unique twist to breakfast. They don't have Benedict's, breakfast and gravy or some of your more traditional dishes, but they offer some really great options. I got the avocado omelet without cheese and added some extra veggies. It was delicious and I loved the addition of more vegetables! It came with toast that was actually really amazing. I'd highly recommend asking for their raspberry jam because it is to die for. The ambiance is very nice too. Very cozy and homey vibe. First of all, I would get an adult pencil at the front desk for reservations. That young man couldn't even hold it- 1.5 in diameter and 10" long. It took him more than 5 minutes to write a first name and phone number. He continued to make mistakes and struggled with erasing with the huge eraser. Very unprofessional. Additionally, a staff who was helping clean off and set up tables took time in between her chores to wrap silverware without gloves. That was concerning. Secondly, we made reservations for 8 people for 11:15 and arrived at 11:00 to find our table was just then given to a family of 6. We were then asked if they could split our party - totally unacceptable. That's why we made the reservation, we declined. We were eventually stuffed into an area in back very cramped far more comfortable for a table of 6. The tables were old and pieced together and beat up. The website markets them as an upscale place, we felt they were overall closer to mediocre. We ordered breakfast which was okay, nothing we would return for. Lately, we're on vacation, we had our day planned, made reservations and allowed for time to eat. By the time they arranged for a replacement table, served us, and we paid our check it was 1:35. I really appreciate how they are not only vegan/vegetarian (I am not either of these) but also allergy friendly.
