The place looked cool like a mountain lodge with paintings adorn on the walls gives a touristy feel. It was great they had vegan options on their menu so I was intrigued to see what they had to offer. I couldn't decide between the vegan huevos rancheros or vegan breakfast bowl. I went with the first option. The food came out quick and it was good but it lacked substance and it was very simple. I spent the night at the airport due to delays and I was famished. Portion wise it lacked as well, especially when you pay for almost $20 for the dish which seemed like a tostada on a thin wheat tortilla. The hostess did not seem friendly or happy to be there, although the waitress Sam was pleasant. I noticed their lunch menu has lesser vegan options than the breakfast menu. Great spot for breakfast! It was very vegan friendly, with a cute atmosphere. The mismatch chairs are my favorite part, and make it feel like you're visiting someone's house for a meal. Really fun and very eclectic ambience with small outdoor patio seating area. The menu is geared towards healthy options and the food quality is fantastic. The servers are so nice and accommodating, greeting with a smile! We had a group of 7 and arrived early for our reservation. They were able to accommodate us immediately. As an 11:45am reservation we had the choice of breakfast or lunch menu and it's quite a variety of foods with vegetarian and vegan options as well. This place is popular with tourists and locals based on our recent visit. Stopped in for lunch with 2 grandchildren in tow and we were pleased that they had children's menu too. The PB and J was hearty but 1 of our grands didn't care for the artisan bread with seeds in it!! My husband got the salmon enchiladas while I got crab cake with garden salad. On a whim, we stopped off at the Adams Mountain Café in Manitou Springs Colorado. As we were sitting there waiting for our food and we were seeing the portions come out, the word that came to mind was everything was thoughtful. Everything was healthy and thoughtful. We ended up getting a spicy noodle salad and a cashew chicken sandwich thing chicken salad sandwich with some cashews on a very dense and healthy bread. Even the seating seemed like it was curated so kind of cool place definitely something you shouldn't be afraid to stop and get a bite to eat very friendly people. This one has felt like its been on my list forever. We finally got around to checking it out last week. The first thing thay jumped out was the atmoshpere. Each chair looks like it was uniquely thrifted, the warm lighting, and flower wallpaper that blended well. We ended up getting something simple and while it was good I would probably get sowmthing else next time. The eggs were fluffy and potatos were well cooked but it was a bit undersalted. A friend had gone and wanted me to see if I would enjoy the food as much as they did. I did enjoy! The hostess was welcoming and our waitress, Dazzia, was on point. We all had omelets and they were all filled with fresh ingredients! The toast was a wholegrain delicious bread. I should have asked where to buy. The apricot preserves i believe were made in house. They don't serve pork bacon but I believe they had turkey sausage and they were seasoned well. They also offer shrimp as a side and you can buy by the piece. What a cute place! The interior was absolutely FILLED with gorgeous impressionistic styled paintings, which was maybe my favorite part! I felt like I was in a local art museum and only wish I'd had a chance to learn more about collection. I ordered Rockey's Special (toast, poached eggs, seasonal fruit). It came looking like the most aesthetic breakfast plate I've seen in my life. I felt like I was at a fancy tea shop! I loved the artful arrangement of the fruit. The main disappointment was I had asked for butter on the side, and the toast came both buttered and with butter on the side. Both my partner and I wonder if they have some kind of vegan butter substitute because it did not taste or smell like butter, and this place seems health conscious. Our waiter was kind enough to bring me dry toast when I pointed it out. Where this place really shined though was the lasagna meal. It was so fresh and flavorful with heart chunks of tomato and the right amount of cheese (more like true Italian versus Americanized versions that just drip with melted cheese). The roll with that meal was incredible. Next time, I'm ordering that. My partner devoured it before I could steal more than a bite from him. Would recommend ! The ambiance was the best!!! They had wonderful Impressionist-style paintings along the walls. Great for a date or a one on one. The food was stellar as well. I had the lasagna which I would highly recommend. Unfortunately, they accidentally put butter on my girlfriend's toast : ( which could have been dangerous if she was allergic. The name might be a personal bias for me but Adam's Mountain Cafe is a cozy escape from the elements with large portions and a wide variety of entrees to serve all guests! Vegan options for both Breakfast and Lunch menus though I got Heuvos Rancheros which turned out great with well-rounded flavor and warmth. The latte was good and the first ive ever received with a design made from the creamer. I also tried their Snowcapped cider which is on par with angry orchard on draft! The service was good, after the initial interaction my host opened up a little more. The ambience is one of my favorites with the theme being an ornately decorated mountain. lodge. Every part of the space feels like a novelty of Western living and every part is used to create a warm and inviting atmosphere! However the food was good and unique for a brunch spot, especially the Green Mountain Falls (polenta and green chile) and Orange Almond French Toast. One of my favorite brunch places. The ingredients are great and you leave feeling satisfied but not overly full. I ordered breakfast potatoes as a part of my meal and it was literally slices from a whole potato that were put on a flat top grill and grilled on both sides, no seasoning and not fully cooked. The food was overpriced and the service was extremely slow. We sat for 15 minutes waiting for the check. There was only 8 people and 3 other tables in the place besides us. We were finally offered a water refill when the check was dropped by. Then it took another 5 minutes to get our card back. The prices were way too high as well. I choose the Nola blacked chicken. For a restaurant that advertises as a farm to table restaurant, I was surprised to see 2 frozen chicken breasts from a bag and frozen corn The Corn maque choux and the garlic greens might have been good, but everything was drenched in an overpowering lemon sauce. Everything here feels intentional and elevated, from the Colorado-sourced, (San Luis valley)farm-fresh ingredients to the artistry of the presentation (even the fruit is sliced like a masterpiece). Whether you're coming for brunch, breakfast, lunch, or dinner, you really can't go wrong. Breakfast favorites? The shrimp and grits, French toast, pancakes, and the Green Mountain Falls (get it "Christmas style" with both red and green chili). The coffee is great, but the spiced tea is next-level. Dinner is just as incredible, start with the pear and goat cheese crostini, then go for the lasagna or salmon. And don't skip dessert: the sticky toffee pudding with vanilla ice cream is unforgettable. Bonus: their Manhattans are off the hook. They also do an amazing job accommodating vegan, gluten-free, and vegetarian diets without sacrificing flavor. On a personal note, this place means a lot to me--I hosted my dad's surprise 80th birthday in their back room, and it couldn't have been more perfect. Nice and varied menu, with vegan options, which is appreciated. Eclectic and unique drink menu, with a great happy hour. Waitstaff are super friendly and went out of their way to accommodate a specific request that one of our party members had. That being said, it's a bit unusual that they were in absolutely no hurry to clear our table in between courses. Appetizer dishes were still on the table by the time they brought the main course, and then our main dishes were still on the table by the time they brought our dessert. Not enjoyable to have dirty dishes left on the table. The happy hour was nice, cocktails were only eight dollars and appetizers were half price. However, it literally took about 15 to 20 minutes to receive our drinks, even though the restaurant was not completely full. It almost seemed like they were taking their time so that there was no time to order a second drink before happy hour expired. The main dishes took less time to prepare and bring to the table than the drinks did. All of that being said, the food was delicious! Everyone enjoyed their meal, the appetizers and the drinks. We've driven by Adam's numerous times and never saw it before. Best to follow the directions. They do have many vegan options but not a lot of gluten free, maybe more than most? The atmosphere is woodsy and clean and quiet. Parking is ample. My husband liked the Bahn mi. I got the Tibetan bowl. Lots of veggies and not a lot of rice. The tofu was tasty. But something just lacked in the dish. The flavour was ok but maybe it needed more nuts. Now that we know where it is we'll try it again.
