Beet bowl add chicken and roasted mushrooms
Tracie L.

Our last two visits here have been disappointing. I thought last time may have been an isolated incident or new cook, so we tried it again today. Another let down. This has been put on our no list now. When we ordered today, my son asked about Caesar salad and the woman at the counter did not say that they didn't have them. Then when they brought the food out, she said it's not an option. Why not say it when we ordered. Last time my bowl was missing the goat cheese, and I had to ask for it. I also added chicken and mushrooms to my bowl and I literally received about 5-6 mushrooms, which equals more than a dollar a mushroom. This time, my side salad was supposed to have balsamic and had another dressing. My son had the burger and said that the consistency was weird. My other son had the same sandwich he always has and the bread was different, though the menu didn't indicate that it was.

I've been here about 3 times in the last 2 weeks and each time it's a different food experience. My first time here I felt like was the best experience and then it varied from there. I think it all depends on what you choose on the menu. On my first visit, I had the usual which is eggs, potato, bacon with a side of bread with jam and that was my favorite breakfast. The eggs were cooked as I specified, soft scramble and the bacon was crispy, but not burnt. The potatoes were well seasoned, and the toast and jam were out of this world delicious! On my second visit, I ordered the pancakes with eggs and bacon, and the pancakes were the only thing that tasted great. On my third visit, I ordered the breakfast street tacos with a side of berries and that was my least favorite. Unfortunately, the tacos tasted okay and I wasn't a fan of the burnt cheese on there or the salsa. An un unfortunately, the side of berries for $3 were not fresh at all. Even though the last few food experiences weren't that great I think that Homa still has at least one good breakfast on the menu that that's worth coming back for. Out of all the breakfast places, I've tried in COS, I must say that for now Homa is the best! I plan on coming back to try their lunch items and so looking forward to it. As for the service, it's quick and efficient and the ambience is just what you'd expect when you stay at a boutique hotel. Nothing fancy just practical and easy. Thanks Homa for catering to more than just a hotel guest. It's 2 thumbs way up for Homa!

Espresso consistently tastes burnt here. Food is good, small portions but flavor is there. Would recommend the fries! Wait staff is friendly, vibes are cozy - good for meetings and studying. Just skip the coffee.

We were on the hunt for homemade breakfast on a wet and rainy Sunday morning but in need of something new. We came across Homa and boy did they deliver. Tucked inside of a boutique hotel you would have no idea the food coming out of the kitchen was top notch. Street parking may be limited but I'm pretty sure they have a private lot on the side of the building. Once inside, you are immediately greeted by the counter where you'll order, pay, take a number and find a cozy seat either inside, outside or in the covered green room type area. The food, although a bit pricey, was worth every penny. Offering breakfast and lunch items and even something for the kiddos like chicken tendies, they're sure to appease most crowds. The pancakes were out of bounds. Fluffy, buttery and cooked perfectly and massive in size accompanied by eggs and bacon resulting in a well rounded all American breakfast. Their meat pie, very much like an empanada, was flaky on the outside and packed with flavorful meat inside and a garlic style sauce on the side for dipping. It doesn't come with a side so they're thin and crispy French fries were the perfect combination. The staff was friendly and helpful when it came to offering menu items suggestions. And the space downstairs was cozy and warm. Somewhere I could see myself bringing my computer to get some work done. Overall, great find just outside of downtown.

Cozy plant-filled café with great cocktails and good food The café shares space with the hotel lobby and has a warm, relaxed vibe with lots of seating options--great for hanging out or working with a coffee. Their cocktails were great. I always ask staff for food recs, but the entree menu had just launched, so they didn't have much feedback yet. I tried the Butternut Squash Pappardelle--a great concept, but it was too salty for me. The next day, I had the Cutting Board, which was generous and high-quality (cheeses, meats, spreads, pickles). It would've been perfect with a touch of fresh fruit or veggies for balance. Espresso drinks were fine, but note: their standard is one shot in a 12 oz cup, and the barista seemed unfamiliar with some basic coffee lingo. If you're particular about coffee, I'd recommend Loyal Coffee across the street--for specially crafted espresso drinks. As a hotel guest, I wished that they had more grab and go options for breakfast or for lunch on the trail. Still, Homa is a solid on-site option with great atmosphere and good drinks. Would definitely stop by again, even if I weren't staying at the hotel.

French toast with add ons - bacon and scrambled eggs
Crystal B.

I ordered the french toast and added bacon (thick cut and crispy) and scrambled eggs (moist and flavorful). Everything was delicious! The hot coffee was average. They did have a light and dark roast with free refills, although no one came back to check on that so I refilled it myself at the bar. The space was warm. The cafe was located inside of Kinship Landing Hotel - the parking attached to the hotel was for hotel guests only. There was a decent amount of street parking on the surrounding streets.

So this is a place to come just for the vibes and aesthetic. It's a really pretty place with high ceilings and tons of natural sunlight. There are also seating indoors if you need a nice quiet little space. It's a nice setup for meetups, first dates, group hangouts, etc. With that said, the design is the only thing worth coming here for. Food was pretty average at best. I had the local and while it was a decent sandwich but it felt like it was missing something. I do like the sprouts that it came with and how the bread was locally sourced. The potatoes were alright. Maybe come here for some coffee and a quick bite so you can support Homas but also enjoy the cafe space.

We stopped here after the Olympic Museum. My kids had the breakfast and I had the club sandwich. All excellent and the weather was nice so the kids could play and we sat outside.

Root veggies hash Pancakes Kimchi breakfast sandwich Bloody Mary Mimosa
Fiammetta P.

I was pretty disappointed. The pancakes are pretty airy and light which was nice but otherwise I expected a lot more based on photos and reviews. The kimchi breakfast sandwich was unimpressive and the fries hard and the root veggies hash was fine. I wouldn't go back for it. The back room that looks like a greenhouse was actually only a smoke room, and I think this was the most disappointing as I imagined to have brunch there instead of booths where hotel guests would chill before leaving after checking out (suitcases and all). They also forgot the hash so we had to remind them that was also in our order.

Besides having a spacious and pretty eating area both inside and indoor porch, the place has a rather a small menu having limited options to alter and accommodate. We got their breakfast sandwiches and bowl! The focaccia was good and the vibes were comforting.

Fried cauli bowl - highly recommend
Ellie N.

This place is gorgeous inside. They offer all healthy options. If you are sick of traditional sugary breakfast, Homs is a great alternative. The food is great. I can tell they put effort in creating the dishes. The only reason why it's not 5-star for me is because of the mysterious spot on the water glass. Gross. They don't use disposable cups, which is a plus, but it should come with quality control too.

Momo Handpie

We stayed at the Kinship Landing and this cafe + bar is a part of the hotel. We decided to give it a try since we didn't feel like going out for food. Boy, I'm glad we gave this place a try. The space itself is inviting, cozy, minimal, and gives egalitarian urban vibes! I extra appreciated all of the greenery and plants throughout. The food is phenomenal and they use locally sourced ingredients. I have an obsession with grain/salad bowls, and this fried cauli bowl was amazing. Definitely hit the spot. My husband got the Mt. Rokko bowl which has miso-braised short rib. He really enjoyed his too. The St. Ives handpie was sold out so we got the Momo handpie. It was good, but the bottom wasn't crisp enough and fell apart easily when we cut it in half.

Delicious breakfast inside a spacious coffee shop located inside hotel. Would be a great place to work remotely with large tables and even private nook areas. Coffee options were simple yet delicious, unfortunately no espresso options. The focaccia on my sandwich was so fresh and soft! Service was okay, considering the circumstances. A very large bus of people had just ordered as I arrived so I waited much longer than I assume is typical. My food was taken by another guest on accident and I was brought a box to go after a long wait, though I asked to eat there initially. I ran out of time to eat in house so I asked for my drink to go. The barista kindly topped it off for free for the inconvenience.

Couldn't ask for more for our anniversary night out. They're up-leveling the menu in early April, but it's already so tasty! Had the waygu sliders, lobster-sweet corn fritters, shrimp skewers, and flourless chocolate torte. All superb! Next menu will be more locally inspired. It was not. I've been ordering that martini for 27 years. After much discussion, the waitress agreed to bring me three olives. She did not want to take the drink back. We ordered the shrimp skewers and the corn and lobster balls. The shrimp was criminally overdone, basically seafood jerky. Neither my wife nor I could even taste the lobster in the balls, much less see any actual lobster meat in them. Lots and lots of corn, though. Very disappointing experience. The view was amazing, but for the price we paid, the service and food were substandard.

Dangerous cause it tastes like juice but great because the alcohol hit. The waiter told us that all the drinks have the same amount of alcohol in it so thats a plus too. For the food we had surfer boy bites and daring dumplings. The bites were so savory and delicious I really wanted more! The cola i infused marinara pairs great with the waffle bite and the pickled jalapeño added that savory to my sweet. The daring dumplings were a veggie dumpling and good but not something I would order again because to me, they were just dumplings and we only got like 5. Can't wait for the next theme to come back and try!
