I have loved everything I've gotten from them but the fried pork chops are my favorite. I've never gotten a good picture because I only remember after inhaling the food. On Sunday they have Soulfood Sunday plates which come with an entree, 2 sides, a roll or cornbread and a drink. Like I said the fried pork chop is my favorite but my husband has also loved their hamburger and gravy and meatloaf. I also have tried their baked chicken and fried wings and they were all tasty. The sides...all of them are SO GOOD. You know the saying "they put their foot in it"? Well, they put their foot in it. All of it. Each of their sides are packed with flavor (from the meat, so be warned it is not vegetarian!), their collard greens are my favorite but only because they literally have the best greens I've found here in Texas. But, everything else is delicious! We have tried the collards, the southern fried corn, baked beans, sweet potato, Mac and cheese. Everything was a hit. Friendly staff and you can tell they just take pride in their business. It shows in every aspect.

The meat was smoked to perfection. The brisket plate was a step above all others. Meat was moist and delicious. What is going to bring us back is the Potato Salad and Pinto Beans. In Texas, BBQ is serious business and the sides are an added plus. Their sides are in a class of their own. When I try a BBQ joint for the first time, I always order the beans and potato salad.
