Visited Adamo Estate Winery in Mono. The space is warm and welcoming, and it felt relaxed without being too quiet. Excuse the half-eaten pasta photo, I didn't wait long before digging in. The pasta was fresh and cooked perfectly. Not too soft and not too firm. Simple, well balanced, and easily one of the best dishes of the visit. I would absolutely order it again. The charcuterie board stood out for its variety of unique cheeses. Wines were smooth and easy to drink. I also tried a cappuccino from the café menu and it was rich and comforting. They offer outdoor globe dining on weekends, which is a nice option if you're looking for something a bit different. I'd come back again, especially in the summer when the vineyard views are in full swing. read more

We were staying in the Caledon area and decided to check out a local vineyard since we had time. I picked Adamo since they allowed walk in and didn't know exactly what time we could get here. There's a nice seating area near the vineyards outside. We ordered a bottle of their estate Pinot Noir. I'm not a wine connoisseur by any means but it was pretty good. The prices were pretty marked up though. I think I would check out other vineyards first. read more

Pleasant experience visiting this winery north of Toronto! Portions were more like bites/tapas style. Service was great and the interior is modern. My favourite dish was the grilled shrimp which came with 2 pieces. The risotto was also tasty. Bread was delicious. For the eats and 2 glasses of wine, we spent around $120. Pricey but pleasant for a quick experience. read more

Hmm...a bit tricky to rate as we're still deep in Covid! PROS - outdoor seating with large enough tables. Reservations recommended, but I did see a few groups walk in, get seated without any reservations on a Saturday afternoon - setting looks nice - on the outskirts of Peel, 1km away from Hockley Valley - Seafood Tower was good, a bit pricey for what we got, but still good. They could've thrown in some pieces of bread / a slightly larger salad / or a coupla more oysters/mussels or something - GOOD FRIES CONS - weird Covid rules which didn't really make any sense. Only 1 wine flight was allowed/table at a time. Apparently, it's to prevent cross-contamination, but they had shareable tapas?? When I asked why the wine couldn't be poured at the bar, then brought outside so that we can have more than 1 flight at a time, I was told that that was the rule. - staff is young which is fine, but they also seem inexperienced. When we asked them very simple questions about what certain sauces were, we got blank stares by 2 waitresses. Menu isn't that extensive, so I think staff should be trained better as to what certain basic items are - service was a bit spotty, had to ask for water to be refilled - just like staff wine is also young :) Regarding the "rules", perhaps I should just stop asking questions and just accept what each establishment throws at us patrons. Still, it didn't make much sense. Being the closest winery to people who live in Peel region, this place has soo much potential! However, it was a dampened by the service. read more

Adamo is a place I now hold close to my heart if you're looking for a winery that isn't all the way in Niagara then look no further! This cute little winery is about 40 mins from Brampton using back roads, you'll take a great scenic route so time will pass quickly. My friends and I went and had the best time, as you can see; we took some great pics for memories. We had Ashley as our sever and she knew the whole menu back to front. I love their sampling aspect because it lets everyone try multiple wines and experience it together. Food wise they didn't have the biggest selection so I suggest going there for some something light and eating in advance! Summer is winding down and I can't wait to go again in the winter to see how they switch it up since their menus is seasonal! Highly recommend this place!!! read more

A fantastic spot for an afternoon outing - close enough to the city to drive up for the day to enjoy some fresh air, great food and even better wine. The grounds are incredibly well kept, lots of fantastic wines to try while enjoying lunch or dinner. Everything from the Mussels to the Misto board were delicious - House Focaccia is a must. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable - for those looking for a more relaxing experience or those looking to get nerdy about the wine alike. Lots of shade thanks to great patio set up - COVID protocols in place allow you to enjoy your experience and feel safe while taking in the scenery. Great atmosphere and service here. Pretty good wine and food too. The one issue I have with this place is the fact that you are only allowed to taste 4 wines per table no matter how many guests you're seated with. To me, the whole point of going to a winery is to try a bunch of different wines without a limit so that you're encouraged to buy a bottle. Mind you, I am more than happy to pay for the tastings. I was only able to taste 2 wines and I didn't like either of them enough to buy. Maybe if I was allowed to do tastings of 4 or 6 wines, I would've had a better chance of tasting something I like enough to buy. IMO, the fact that the winery does this is a disservice to themselves because if they let people taste more than just a few wines, maybe they'd sell more bottles. They said this policy is to prevent having too many bottles of wine open at once, but as a winery, you should expect this. Just speaking as someone whose been to dozens of wineries large and small who encourage tasting as much as possible. read more

Great spot. Now that places are starting to open up for restricted outdoor dining, this should be on your list as your next destination. Quiet patio with fantastic views of the vineyard and of the Mono/Dufferin countryside. The wines were surprisingly good. And that is coming from a self professed wine snob.
