This was my first time buying a MTM suit; not off the rack. I wear a suit every day at work... but…read moreI'm not impressed and not likely to return to HKT again. $4k for a made-to-measure suit. The experience felt closer to a used car dealership than a Bespoke Tailor experience you see in movies. Nine weeks after being fitted I was texted to come in and try on my suit. It needed adjustments so it was another 4-5 weeks to pick up my suit. No text this time... I had to call and see if the suit was ready. The suit is nice but I'm struggling to view this purchase as worth the hassle. Honestly, I'd rather have four or five good suits off the rack than one suit for this price. I am likely to purchase another MTM suit but my next purchase will be at Guffey's or another option. HKT missed an opportunity here to capture my repeat business.

Upon wearing the jacket I noticed the re-sewn felt structure was wrinkled and poorly managed. I live in another state and do not have time to be sending stuff back and forth. Would not advise getting fine garments tailored here.

This week, I made it my mission to find myself my first authentic one as an adult! Immediately, I remembered Laredo. I work as a Costumer in the Film & Television Industry, and years back, I used to assist a beloved Costume Designer on shopping trips to Plaza Fiesta. Since I had the day off, I decided to come in with my boyfriend. The shop is just as I remembered--filled with lots of great pieces. They have an assortment of price ranges, which is great, and everything is good to excellent quality! Jose, the lovely salesman who assisted us, was fantastic! He was so kind, personable, and helpful. He even measured my head so I would know what my size was (surprisingly, I had never done it myself), and used a hook to bring down the options I was looking at. Some I found to be a little out of my desired price range, so when I humbly informed him of this, he politely guided us over to other options that were more in my budget. I ended up leaving with the perfect first hat for me. Jose told me that if I come back with my receipt, on weekends, they have a man who comes in to shape the hats to your desired shape based on the chart provided, and do a cleaning too, complimentary for first(?) purchases. I look forward to coming back and buying more things! I've already got an ongoing list!

She wanted to create a space where visitors would feel happy and that would leaving them feeling better than when they came. There is a lot of women's clothing, a lot of local goods and gifts (jewelry, cosmetics, candles, cards, pop up glitter, coin purses, beard shampoo, etc.). The owner mentioned "Usually women don't like jeans shopping, so we made sure to have a lot of fun options to make it more enjoyable." She was so thoughtful toward her customers during her speech, which I think says a lot to the quality of the store. There is a cafe in the shop, as well. All baked goods are prepared in house. They sometimes have brunch available, but I believe it's seasonal. I think I heard that they're soon to have their last brunch for a while. Hello Gorgeous! Is a super cute place to get gifts for yourself or a friend!
