We live in a small California, mountain community where most painting and other contractors are difficult to find. "Word of mouth" is key in our area to locate contractors that fit your needs and availability. We contacted the owner/contractor Adam Knowles Painting and asked some specific questions. He came over shortly to review the house and gave us a bid to paint our custom wood sided house. His cost was satisfactory and gave us a date to start and to complete to job. The crew were on time, friendly and professionally completed the job as promised. The house looked all new again. Now, four years later after having to remove several tall hedges and bushes against the house due to a fire dept safety requirement. We discovered some water damage and small areas blocked by the old shrubs to touch up. We asked Adam tor help us resolve the issue. These painters do more than put runs in your paint, they create you MARATHONS on your wall!!! This company's estimates was by far higher than the other two my wife and I received. I chose them thinking if they charge more they would do a great job. Boy was I wrong. Look at the pictures and judge for yourself. High prices low quality should be their motto. Adam was great! Easy to work with. We hired him and his team to paint three buildings. The house, our shed, and the separate office building in the backyard. His team was able to get all three done in a few weeks. They took care of all the rotted wood paneling and replaced them. Craftsmanship was great! They found one spot over the garage that needed replacement, but we're unable to find anyone who sold that type of paneling. So they used some of the replaced paneling and cut off the good portions of it and was able to replace it with that. It looked perfect. Our house looked fantastic afterwards. The quality of paint he uses is superb. It's been over a year now and the house still looks great! I would definitely recommend him and his team. read more

From my experience Adam Knowles Painting was a blessing. Incredibly talented crews power washed, sanded, caulked, replaced poor siding or trim, patched holes and blemishes, sprayed and rolled primer, and applied a deep sprayed and rolled protective layer of beautiful custom finish paint on my house. Adam even made quick and fair adjustments to the bid when I had a porch built over the back patio with bare wood and requested that be painted with the house. Being bare wood, Adam brought in a top-notch crew to work the weekend double prime, sand, shape and caulk the new porch all while keeping the timeline! Impressive. Beyond the craftsmanship, the best part was dealing with Adam and his crew. Each one of his crew members listened carefully, took measures to keep a clean and professional job site along the way, and took what I had to say seriously. There was none of the "We'll do what the boss says" stuff. Adam's crews know who the boss is - the paying customer - and their work certainly reflects that high standard of pleasing the home owner. I recommend Adam Kowles Painting without reservation. He and his crew sealed and painted our knotty pine cabinets including the kitchen, both bathrooms and hallway as well as some wall and trim painting . The cabinets were original to the house, the finish had worn off in areas with much wear and tear and a dog had damaged many of the lower drawers and door. It looks spectacular! His crew did a wonderful job of restoring the shape of the damaged pieces and you would never know the cabinetry was originally knotty pine after they primered and filled and shaped and primered and painted. He and his crew are wonderful craftsman. We're now choosing fixtures and colors so he can work his magic on the rest of our house. read more
