Anyone that has tried to hire a licensed contractor around here knows that just finding someone to…read morereturn your call can be a challenge. If this sounds familiar and you've been beating your head against the wall trying to find an experienced, knowledgeable, hard working, licensed contractor, we would like to recommend Greenberg Construction. Bruce Greenberg and his wife Jen recently removed and replaced our deck and they did an amazing job. They didn't shy away from our desire to use Ipe, a Brazilian hardwood that is VERY difficult to work with because it has a hardness rating similar to concrete. They had never worked with Ipe before, but Bruce did a lot of research in advance of starting our job. It was an extremely difficult job, but they both had a wonderful, upbeat attitude throughout the project and approached it as a challenge they would conquer (which they did). From the planning stages through the final broken drill bit (I'm not kidding when I say this wood is REALLY hard), they went out of their way to make sure the job was done right. Watching them work it was obvious to us that they take a lot of pride in their work and they do not take shortcuts or recommend something that may not look as nice just because it might be easier. In fact, there were a few times Bruce made suggestions that he thought might look a bit better, even though it meant more work for them. He never pressured us to go one way or another - he occasionally offered ideas based on his years of experience, but all decisions were ours to make. In addition to building a strong, beautiful deck that we can enjoy for the rest of our lives, Bruce and Jen were always good about keeping the job site clean and they are both a pleasure to have around. I've attached a few pictures of the finished product so you can see what a nice job they did. We highly recommend them for whatever your construction project might be....but right now they are updating one of our bathrooms, so you're gonna have to get in line!

They cleared the water damaged and replaced the drywall so well it doesn't even look like we ever had an incident. The rate was very reasonable, too. We did have to make a deposit first, and then pay final payment when the work was complete which I expected and is fair. Overall we are VERY pleased and will use him and his services again. Our home is large with three levels and a large detached lower garage. This project took a considerable amount of preparation along with the painting itself. Sam and his team did an excellent job and the price was very reasonable for such a large project. Sam's team completed the job in about six weeks, which is the appropriate amount of time for a job of this size. We had several changes to work scope, customer requested, and every time Sam's additional costs were reasonable and we never felt like we were being taken advantage of with a change order. I highly recommend Sam as a contractor and also as a paint supplier. We'll use him again. Brett L.
