You can't re enter during the same day, this is to prevent people driving in and driving out within 3 hours and hope to get another 3 free hours of parking. The number plates are photographed. I have seen people argue at the gate while the traffic is building up... not a pretty site.

There are also a heap of ready made food outlets, Bread Top, Donut King and sushi, and also several cafes including a gozleme shop!!! (Which is also excellent) The food outlets have all opened in the last couple of months and there is a surprising range. There's also a $2 shop, nail salon, dentist, acupuncture place and Priceline. There is a Chinese grocer upstairs and I think the old Spotlight might still be there too. The reason the 5th star is missing from this review is the fruit n veg market. That place lacks a distinct standard of quality that Sydney Siders are used to, and frankly the fruit and veg there is appalling. I'm surprised it's survived and it really is the missing link in what would otherwise be the best shopping centre from Parra to Burwood - and it's quiet enough to always get a park (unlike the other 2 Westfields). Amazingly close for residents of Newington and SOP.

By American standards this is considered to be a huge mall with 8 levels and all sorts of shoppes and restaurants. As you enter the mall via the parking garage you realize that the mall has plenty of parking with several levels and every parking spot is in vicinity to the entrance of the mall. Remember to note down the level and where you parked as that can get confusing. Also parking is free for the first 3 hours and it is ticket less with your car number plate being your ticket. As I mentioned the mall has 8 levels with a couple of food courts on different level and many of the favorites like Starbucks and Gloria jeans that mall shoppers can't live without anywhere in the world. Most of the stores are the same like in the USA but the one difference that I saw was that the malls also have a huge box store where you can shop for your daily needs. We usually don't see a Walmart or Publix in a mall in Florida.

Bing Lee also features! Reading Theatres are surrounded by an excellent food court and a number of good varied restaurants. Several good coffee shops are throughout the centre with reasonable prices. The shopping centre is in walking distance to Rhodes Station. It is in walking distance to Meadowbank (half an hour) over the old historical train bridge, which is a lovely sight in itself.

It only consists of 2 levels of retail space but I think its perfect. If you want Myer you can drive up to Top Ryde or there is always Westfields Parramatta if you want something bigger. Food court located on the end with the Cinemas or you can try some great sushi at Tomodachi.

Well, as far as shopping centres go, in particular Westfield shopping Centres, this one really isn't all that big. Still, they have everything that you would expect in a shopping centre, and a reasonable range of shops, as far as shopping centres go of course. The name Westfield is derived from "west" related to the West-Sydney location, and "field" due to having located on subdivided farmland. But this one in Burwood was close to follow, called Westfield Shoppingtown back then. Went back to check it out in November 2012, and it looked a little hokey and cramped. Things seem so big when you are small. Who would want to grocery shop here now? Seems a little bit like a relic, and the stores are kinda lame now. Wish I could give it more than two stars. Wikipedia says that Westfield Group currently has interests in total assets worth Aus$58 billion, owning 119 shopping malls in four countries - Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom and the United States - with over 10 million square meters of retail space. It is the world's largest retail property group. I've never heard this, but it seems to me they want to have the name Westfield synonymous with the term "mall", so they drop the word "mall" from the name of a shopping center they buy and refurbish. There are huge Westfields in Santa Ana near where I live, and Topanga Canyon in LA for example that had their name changed from "mall".
