I'm trying to add a couple of pieces that work with my style while giving it some color. Walking into the Design Store after shopping in Fourth Village I saw a couple of fun things I could use to bring the kitchen to life. The store is packed with all kinds of kitchen accessories, bake ware and gifts. They have a variety of wall clocks, different types of specialty containers for foods or spices and even a gadget that make a squared sushi. We found our hint of color. The yellow kitchen tools I bought are useful and affordable and look great, especially the cook's knife and kitchen sheers. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the store carries all kinds of goodies to complete your kitchen needs or buy a gift for a friend who loves to cook or bake.

As you go insde theres jewellery and Pandora at the counter, a range of kitchen appliances on the display in the centre, including what looks like a very interesting bird feeder, on the other wall is a range of interestingly designed kitchenware and plate, and above that, a series of cushions. Theres female clothing too, and if you head towards the back section theres hand bags and table settings, various candles and a series of anchovies and tunas in jars and tins, and jams as well. There doesn't seem to be any certain focus, perhaps the owners sells what takes her fancy, and hopes that the customer will buy what takes his/her fancy. A cool shop for window shopping, but if you're on a mission for something in particular, I'm not sure how I'd sell this store to you.

Sadly, I don't really see a place for furniture that is this cheap - it'll cost you more to get rid of it when it breaks. I visited in search of some basics for kids' rooms in a new house, but I think I'd only really buy here for a playhouse in the garden. Joinery doesn't join, painting is incomplete, fittings are insecure, wood is cheap or veneer, lack of sanding has left splinters. I'm not one to be needlessly negative, but this place is landfill waiting to happen. Can't we buy just a few less things and make them better ones?

Foodies be warned - you will find it very difficult to leave this shop without buying anything. I'm…read morenot even a foodie and I walked out with three designer gift cards, two cute drinking cups and a packet of star shaped hundreds and thousand chocolates. The store also has an cooking school in the back room. I had a peak at a class in progress as it is open to browsing shoppers. Though you can use your card you must spend over $20 - I got stuck out and had to rummage through my purse to find the dimes. Price wise you can find some inexpensive yummy original gifts and you can pay a lot for quality pots, pans and knives. If gourmet food gifts, giant jars of strawberry jam and funky kitchen appliances are your things Accoutrement is your place.
