For some reason Eastwood shopping centre has managed to be a very generic shopping centre with the usual Amcal Pharmacy. Millers Fashion Club and Woolworths - I wish this little space reflected more of its surrounding Asian culture - like I would love to walk through this centre and see upside down peking ducks hanging sadly in the windows or stores signs in languages I can't understand.Now thats a shopping Centre I would visit... as for this one... it's ok... but not a "must visit"

I feel Big W has a nicer clothing selection if you are looking for everyday pieces. There are many restaurants on the outside of the centre and are open quite late. This shopping centre has it all, restaurants, cafes, good shops, supermarkets and movie theatres. Parking can be an issue....my suggestion is drive to the top and make your way down.

It's always a bit overwhelming for newbies, and who knows how the line for the checkout really works, but it's better than legging it to Flemington and you'll emerge with prettier veggies than the gwei lo next door who shops at Woolies. It is hidden in a corner and although it has a colourful entrance with a Japanese Geisha smiling attractively to the potential customers I have walked past it several times. I don't think she had any effect on me! ha However I walked into the store when filling in time and found a great selection of plates, ornaments, decorations,traditional Japanese servers dishes and plastic tupperware. There is also art work and an assortment of leather Japanese handbags. The sales assistant was an older Japanese man who was extremely helpful and very honest. I asked if he gift wrapped and of course he does! Wow. So I walked out of the shop with some beautiful items. I hope to go there again soon. The January sales are just about to begin.Yeah!

Most younger guys carry a bag of some sort. If you are like me I need a bag for the wallet, sun glasses- reading glasses , phone and all the loyalty cards. There is also a good range of travel luggage at reasonable prices and in bright colours. Your bag won't be lost in a sea of black and blue at the airport going around in circles on the conveyor belt...you could be a hot pink or a dashing red and easily pick up your bag and be first to hit the taxi rank. ( oh girls : wear matching shoes....never know who you might meet!) The sales assistant at the store is always very pleasant and helpful. She knew exactly what I was talking about when wanting to buy a secure travel wallet today. There is also a reward card available and every time you spend a dollar you receive one point. The points add up to dollars and a voucher is sent to you twice a year via your email, in January and July. The shop is located on the lower floor of Top Ryde Shopping Centre. Plenty of parking and a great number of variety shops at the centre.

The staff are super friendly and helpful and there is always someone to help! It's open till 9pm Monday-Saturday which is super awesome! (closed on Sunday's) It's always pretty busy and overall pretty cool! There's a cafe attached if you want to grab something on your way out too!
