He also broke the bumper clips that ended up being unsalvageable according to Bobby (owner of Platinum). He got overspray everywhere and broke parts that shouldn't have needed to be replaced. So an absolute waste of $500 on top of making the car look worse than it did before he touched it. I have been looking at getting it fixed for some time now and I came across Platinum Collision Repair and saw the great reviews and gave it a shot. When I arrived I saw a bunch of cars in the shop that looked pretty much brand new so I knew I was in probably in good hands. I was instantly greeted by the owner and I showed him the damage. He gave me a free quote within 3 mins of me being there. I took some time to see if I wanted to wait a few months or do it now but after seeing person after person come to drop off their car within 5 mins of me trying to make a decision in the parking lot, I felt that was all the convincing I needed, so I got him to go ahead and do it. I dropped the car off 7-25 (Saturday afternoon) and it was done 7-29(Wednesday morning). He told me Thursday just to be safe and I get a call on Wednesday morning at 9am that it's ready. That's including them ordering a new grill, new bumper and painting. They are closed Sundays and I brought it later in the afternoon on Saturday so really it only took them 3ish days to order the parts, do all the necessary repairs to other parts not being replaced, paint the car and they even washed it for me! These guys at Platinum killed it and the owner Bobby was seriously so helpful and did his best to get me right after getting screwed over and save me as much money as possible. He even buffed the overspray off my headlight for me and it looks like a brand new headlight now. The car now looks like how it looked when it came off the delivery truck a year ago. They did the job for so cheap too! Can't recommend them enough... so much so that my mom is asking me what's the address and telling me she doesn't care that it's over an hour and a half away from her after seeing the results lol. Also there was paint runs which they attempted to correct. This is the condition after they attempted to fix sensors and paint runs. I barely tapped him. Gerber's quote was $5,000 with 24 hours of labor. The gentleman I hit took it to another reputable shop and was quoted $1,875. Gerber's quote had as much in labor. Even. the difference in aftermarket parts would not create such a disparity. The car needs a bumper and some brackets. My point to Gerber when I spoke with Ryan, the manager, was people don't need company's like Gerber milking them when it's hard enough to get by after 4 years of Bidenomics. I took my car here to fix…read morea leak that was coming from my passenger side and what was supposed to be a "simple fix" turned out to be a disaster and for some reason, when i got my car back , my vents were switched with someone else's and my AC stopped working entirely . I dont know why the even touched my AC vents because it had nothing to do with what was going on. When i confronted them about it they tried telling me that they had nothing to do with it and they would give me a call about it in about 30 minutes .. no one called. long story short dont go here unless u want more problems to deal with. The cheaper route isn't the best route just go to the dealership.
