Dr Olave Yee and her staff were top notch! Professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. Had a thorough eye exam for glasses and contacts within 45 minutes. Three contact lens prescriptions (Standard, Zone, Multifocal) also tested and completed within the appointment. Best of all, went home with three contact lens options to try out to see which one works best. Plus some non-prescription color contacts to amuse/scare my subs on my YouTube BBQ channel. I have had glasses since I was 7 and contacts since I was 12 and I am now 30. I have never had an optometrist appointment like this one. It was the most thorough, in depth review of my eye health. Dr. Yee spent a solid hour with me while my past exams are usually 20 minutes. She showed me photos of the back of my eye (optic nerve) which I've never seen before. Saw I had a spot of old degradation that was now stable, but something to watch. She checked my eyelids (again, never been done by any other optometrist in my life) and saw that there is blistering and damage to the eyelid interior from wearing the same contacts for too long. Also examined my eyelashes (who knew that was a thing) and saw that there is bacteria and microscopic mites that can be fixed with some eye foam stuff that I need to wash my eyes with each morning. She told me I have a slight astigmatism in one eye (again, years and years of optometrists have examined me and never said that). She had me try multiple contacts to see if I need to switch to an astigmatism lens, which I didn't. TLDR; very thorough and knowledgeable exam, very professional, nice office, seems like up-to-date technology and machines, no wait when I arrived. Vastly better than any other eye exam I've ever had, including another unnamed optometrist in Chino Hills (rhymes with drum). Oh! And probably the most significant thing. She asked if I have kids (my wife is pregnant with our first) and explained how three different myopic therapies can keep my children's eyes from degrading like mine did. This is huge. My prescription is -10.00 and if I can save my future children's eyesight from deteriorating than that is worth it's weight in gold. read more

Dr Yee is one of the best eye doctors I've ever met. She's so kind and you can tell she really values her patients. I've never had such a thorough exam! She explained to me how important it is to care for my dry eyes which I never knew I had. She also gave me reminders on how to care for my eyes when it comes to wearing contact lenses. I have been suffering from dry eyes for over 30 years and have seen several doctors and tried numerous eye drops with little to no changes in my dry eyes. They became worse over the years and along with dryness, I also experienced burning, itching, watery eyes almost 24 hours a day but especially at night. Then I met Dr. Olive Yee and the kind staff at Acute Vision Optometry. Dr. Yee was the first optometrist to explain the reasons and nature of dry eyes and provide a holistic approach involving at home treatment with vitamins, compresses, and eye drops as well as in office treatment involving addressing the root of the problem. She explains every step of the treatment and shows before and after photos and videos so I could see for myself the changes that were happening to my eyes throughout the treatment. As a result of the meibomian gland expression treatment, my eyes are finally less dry and I have a significant decrease in burning, itching and watery eyes. I will also continue taking the vitamins and continue to care for my eyes by using the recommended eye drops and compresses. Thanks to Dr.Yee for educating me and providing this treatment! Dr Olave is amazing! Very accommodating, intelligent and mostly caring. I had an eye injury and she heard me talk to the office assistant about the injury and took me in right away. What started off as routine annual eye exam turned into a full blown education session of my ongoing issues. Just to start off Dr. Olave is AMAZING. I've been to so many optometrists and no one beats her level of attentiveness, friendliness, and the level of detail of her work. I've suffered from a specific eye problem for years and no other doctor has gone out of their way to provide solutions and education of my issue. Rather they would just give me the same method of treatment , warm compress and antibiotic drops. Best appointment ever. We had gone somewhere else last year and they told us my son didn't need glasses and him blinking a lot was due to long eyelashes. Dr. Yee spent over 30 minute with each of us and low and behold my son has a slight astigmatism and needs a low prescription plus his eyes have an alignment issue so he stares to the side a lot to try and align his eye slight and keep his eye from moving. We picked his glasses and the first thing he said was, wow i can see better. And wow there's only one mommy. Today during class he struggled a lot less in writing and cutting had a huge improvement. I cried with joy and disbelief that i let someone convince me my mom gut was wrong! She caught it and i am the Happiest mom ever! She also spent 45 minute or more with all of us. My husband, 2 year old daughter and myself. She explained to us about the prescription and really got to know us and our vision issues. My daughter who is 2 didn't really sit still and i knew she wouldn't sit still long enough and she worked with the situation and was so nice, calm and felt like we have been friends for ever. I have already passed Dr. Yee number to family and friends and will keep telling everyone to go to her! We love you.
