They also do ear cleanings as well but doesn't charge the insurance for it, Wish they did charge the insurance though, would be easier to just get things done here. Paperwork is also prefilled out online, and one can choose the doctor to go to. Anyways, this office is located in a building with a bunch of other offices, but was easy to find directions and how to get there. Once arrived at the office, receptionist was friendly, and checked us in. Didn't wait that long until the doctor called us in. We went to Victoria Price. Victoria was very pleasant and friendly, and also helped explain things, such as the results of the hearing test. This hearing test was more of what I was used to, which is a bone conductor and two thin tubes in the inner ear. This word recognition test I did a lot better on, and it is a recorded voice. Thank goodness for second opinions. Victoria was also respectful regarding my wishes. Overall everyone was friendly, and made an appointment in September for my next hearing aid cleaning. Became established with this company a couple years ago at their Conway, SC office due to the…read moreconvenience of being close to my house (4 miles). Recently needed supplies went to the office only to find a sign stating closed, appointments only and the door was locked. I called the number and was told they would be in the office on Thursday went back on Thursday to find another locked door. Called the number again was transferred to the Myrtle Beach office. The receptionist was nice enough to mail me the supplies I needed so I would not have to drive 20+ miles to pick them up. So fast forward to last week, my left hearing aid stopped working. I did all of the usual troubleshooting to no avail. I called and was told the Conway office was closed due to staffing problems and they made me an appointment at their Surfside office, again 20+miles away, for yesterday September 31st. At 1:00 pm. On September 30 we had a tropical storm approach our state I expected a call for cancellation and never received one. I drove to my appointment on the 31st to a closed office with note on the door stating closed due to inclement weather. The storm had left our area way before 9:00 am. I was never notified of appointment cancellation. I called the number listed on notice requesting a call back to reschedule to get my hearing aid fixed. Left a message and never received a call back. Today I called to schedule an appointment was told the Conway office was closed indefinitely I asked for the next closest office to me and was told all offices had no openings except their Pawleys Island office (very far away from my home) and that would not be for a couple of weeks. I told them I just needed to get my hearing aid fixed and was told still needed to see the doctor. I told them I would just try to find another provider. My biggest complaint was not being notified that they closed their office on Thursday and closed their Conway location and did not even bother to notify their patients of the closure.

(His hearing loss is pretty severe from military weapon use in the 60s without ear protection.) However, I worried for no reason. Mr. Malenfant was very knowledgeable, personable, and patiently explained to me not only why he can't hear me but gave me an example of what it is like in husband's loss hearing world and how to help him. Ms. Benbow, you did a good job selecting finding someone who cares about your clients as much as you do. Enjoy your retirement and rest easy. We will be ok with Mr. Malenfant.

From the moment I walked into the building, until I left, the entire office staff could not have been more courteous, thorough & extremely professional. The front office admins were clearly capable and were able to secure my records from my previous and current physicians this morning - even though none of those doctors' office staff had responded to Dr. Ryan's request for my previous records for the past month! After that, I was escorted to an exam room and was triaged by the practice nurse, Brittany. She was on top of it! Quite thorough and pleasant. Don't forget your Rx bottles! She goes over everything! My bloodwork was taken by a friendly, safe & knowledgeable lab tech (phlebotomist?) and for the life of me, I cannot recall her name (sorry! maybe Shay) I felt so bad for her trying to find one of my awful veins! I informed her how horrible my veins are and she took her time and finally found a vein worth jabbing! Finally saw Dr. Ryan. I have multiple medical issues (for a 55 year old woman.) Without going into any detail, I will be honest and tell you that Dr. Ryan spent quite a bit of time going over each and every one of my many medical concerns with me, answering each question I had. He's "on the ball" and even answered a few questions I had regarding my husband. He did not rush with me at all, and by the time I left his office, he already felt like an "old friend." Which is why I'm writing this review. I was THAT impressed As I said, I'm 55 - so this ain't my first rodeo - and my first impression and humble opinion of Dr. Ryan - without a doubt - surpasses my opinion of just about every single doctor I have ever been a patient of. If you are looking for a great primary care doctor, I highly recommend Dr. Ryan. I am just a little bummed out that I didn't find him 3 years ago when we first moved here! Dr. Ryan is located on Oleander Drive in Myrtle Beach, SC.
