Became established with this company a couple years ago at their Conway, SC office due to the convenience of being close to my house (4 miles). Recently needed supplies went to the office only to find a sign stating closed, appointments only and the door was locked. I called the number and was told they would be in the office on Thursday went back on Thursday to find another locked door. Called the number again was transferred to the Myrtle Beach office. The receptionist was nice enough to mail me the supplies I needed so I would not have to drive 20+ miles to pick them up. So fast forward to last week, my left hearing aid stopped working. I did all of the usual troubleshooting to no avail. I called and was told the Conway office was closed due to staffing problems and they made me an appointment at their Surfside office, again 20+miles away, for yesterday September 31st. At 1:00 pm. On September 30 we had a tropical storm approach our state I expected a call for cancellation and never received one. I drove to my appointment on the 31st to a closed office with note on the door stating closed due to inclement weather. The storm had left our area way before 9:00 am. I was never notified of appointment cancellation. I called the number listed on notice requesting a call back to reschedule to get my hearing aid fixed. Left a message and never received a call back. Today I called to schedule an appointment was told the Conway office was closed indefinitely I asked for the next closest office to me and was told all offices had no openings except their Pawleys Island office (very far away from my home) and that would not be for a couple of weeks. I told them I just needed to get my hearing aid fixed and was told still needed to see the doctor. I told them I would just try to find another provider. My biggest complaint was not being notified that they closed their office on Thursday and closed their Conway location and did not even bother to notify their patients of the closure. read more

I was worried when Ms. Benbow decided to retire. She was wonderful and guided my husband to actually being able to hear the ocean and his own voice for the first time in years. (His hearing loss is pretty severe from military weapon use in the 60s without ear protection.) However, I worried for no reason. Mr. Malenfant was very knowledgeable, personable, and patiently explained to me not only why he can't hear me but gave me an example of what it is like in husband's loss hearing world and how to help him. Ms. Benbow, you did a good job selecting finding someone who cares about your clients as much as you do. Enjoy your retirement and rest easy. We will be ok with Mr. Malenfant. read more

I have been seeing Dr. Pam for about 6 months now. I was having some problems, contacted her office and got in within a few days; my problems were minor. When I arrived I was greeted with a friendly staff. As Dr. Pam had finished with another patient she was taking care of she approached me with a warn Hello and friendly smile. Taking me to her back office where we would discuss and take care of my problems she was very professional, questioning me which what could she help me with today. As usual I had written my problems and concerns down too take with me. After discussing the concern, she gave much thought and time to consider what she needed or what would help. With much thought she came up with "just" what I needed. Dr. Pam patients are at her best interest and "heart". I left her office very satisfied and felt deeply that she did care about my concern. read more

Please be aware that Dr Pam Benlow has retired and there appears to be only a "Hearing Aid Specialist" on staff now. My 94 year old mother went for her appointment last week, was given a hearing test and told she had a significant hearing loss. He tried to remove wax from her ears but was only successful on one side. He charged her credit card for $6,400 ( she has insurance from Maryland State which includes hearing aids) and told her he would do a follow up appt at her home. She followed up with an ENT who removed the wax from the other ear and gave her drops to apply and to return to them in 3 weeks and in the meantime not to put anything in her ears. My brother returned to Hearing Health to cancel the order and she will follow up with the audiologist in the ENT office. She had gone to Hearing Care Health on the recommendation of a fellow Covenent Towers resident who loved Dr Pam. It was a horrible experience for her and she was humiliated that family had to intercede in her behalf. He obviously was only interest ed in the money and not the patient and her needs. She must have had a "memory lapse" as she handed over her credit card because she had always taught her children to never pay for anything until you are satisfied with what you received. read more
