Absolutely amazing…read more We started our journey in Reykjavik with 22 other couples from the States. Our tour guide, Sol, was great! She was a native Icelander and provided us both information and hands on experience in Iceland. The mountains are beautiful and scenic, the water is pristine, and the sky is really a rich royal color. The historic architecture is well preserved and the land is spacious and uncluttered with urban sprawl. The Icelandic People are extremely friendly and their food, especially their fish and chips are the absolute best I've ever had the good fortune of tasting, and their fries would certainly make Ronald McDonald cry! The fries are fresh and crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, and certainly not like the ones we get here, where they are crunchy in the outside and harder on the inside. The journey was certainly one off off our bucket list, and deserving of a revisit soon!

I am writing to express my serious disappointment with the customer service we received from…read moreOdyssey during our recent trip to the Canadian Rockies. We had booked our entire trip through Odyssey, including our flights to Calgary. Unfortunately, our flight was canceled due to weather, and the airline was unable to get us to Calgary for two days. We immediately contacted Odyssey for assistance, but were told that they could not help because we had already checked in with the airline. We were advised to contact Air Canada directly regarding a refund. This was extremely frustrating because Odyssey had arranged and booked the flights for us. When we contacted Air Canada, we were told that any refund would have to be handled through the travel company that booked the tickets--Odyssey. We therefore found ourselves caught between the airline and Odyssey with no meaningful assistance from either side. Because we needed to arrive in Calgary in time to begin our scheduled trip, we had no choice but to purchase new flights at our own expense. Despite the fact that we had paid Odyssey more than $17,000 for this trip, Odyssey provided virtually no assistance in helping us resolve the situation or minimize the additional costs we incurred. We were eventually offered a $200-per-person travel voucher as compensation. Given the circumstances and the significant additional expenses we incurred, we do not feel that this offer adequately addresses the situation. We were also informed by Air Canada that a refund had been processed and was to be issued to Odyssey. We understand that Odyssey is now saying that it did not receive a refund and, as a result, does not feel it is responsible for reimbursing us for the expenses we incurred. This is particularly disappointing given that Air Canada directed us back to Odyssey as the company responsible for handling the booking and any applicable refund. We have traveled with Odyssey on three previous occasions and have generally placed a great deal of trust in your company. Unfortunately, the way this situation was handled has completely changed our perception of Odyssey. We expected Odyssey to advocate for us and assist us when an unexpected travel disruption occurred. Instead, we were left to resolve the situation ourselves, incur substantial additional expenses, and navigate the refund process without meaningful support. We respectfully ask that Odyssey review our case, including the refund status with Air Canada, and reconsider its position regarding reimbursement of the expenses we incurred as a direct result of this disruption. We have been loyal customers, but based on this experience, we are extremely disappointed and would have serious reservations about using Odyssey again or recommending the company to others.

I knew exactly what I wanted for flights, times, airports, airplanes, etc. I'm only giving them 2 stars because they responded to me immediately. They just returned my email with flights, no introduction, no "hi, my name is", nothing. They just kept emailing one flight after another with zero attempt at any pleasantries or interaction. Each flight was crazy expensive or not what I asked for. I asked twice that they call me and provided my number, yet they continued to just email flights. Then, they just stopped all together. Lazy, cold, unprofessional, and ignorant. I found them on Google, that's how businesses are found by new potential customers. Let them cater to their regulars, obviously they don't care to earn new customers.

He was able to finally send us our flight info. Look, customer service is not their thing, at least in my experience. Take your hard earned money and spend it elsewhere. I think you'll just be bothering these folks if you try to have them book any trips for you. UPDATE: In the end, the folks at CC Travel did fix the issues and our trip went off without a hitch. While that doesn't erase the bad experience we had with them, it did end with a good trip.

The kids loved her and she kept them entertained and engaged. It was also great to travel with other families so there were other kids to play with and it takes the pressure off being the entertainment for the kid all the time. All of our travel was arranged once we arrived in Ecuador. We never had to worry about where to eat, where to go, we just showed up when we were told to and the activities were set. Adults traveling alone may find a set itinerary somewhat confining, but with kids it is fantastic because they know what to expect and can be prepared. We really had a lovely time and would use Thomson again to plan another adventure. Shout out to Madeline and Renee who answered all our questions and kept us informed before we left.
