This is a tough review to write, because the crew (Nick & Elario) were outstanding; they were professional, friendly, and their work was excellent. They exceeded my expectations -- outstanding work! This would be a 5-star review, EXCEPT -- the communication from the company is terrible. They don't answer the phones, they don't answer emails, they don't return phone calls or reply to emails. They are extremely frustrating to deal with. Interestingly, if you call in the evening when the local office is closed, Groundworks Canada answers the call, and actually does their best to help. But the South Plainfield office, fuggedaboudit. But let me end by saying, the work they do lifting concrete is outstanding. Too bad they have such a dysfunctional administrative office.

Our driveway was 6 inches lower than our garage and the walkway wasn't lined up to the driveway or patio. After a few outrageously expensive estimates from several companies and a few aggressive sales pitches I came across Concrete Chiropractor. The estimation process was simple as they asked me to take pictures and included a guide on how to do it. They followed up with a phone call and explained the process to me. They then sent me a DocuSign document (contract) and told me they would be in touch to schedule in a few weeks. When the crew showed up they again explained the process and in just a few hours everything was fixed perfectly and the price was fair. In fact they don't haggle or play games just give a fair price for the work.

Six months later, we contacted them again, explaining we were ready to move forward, but that we didn't know what style we wanted. Steve said he'd been thinking about our home and had a unique idea in mind. We worked with him to design the concept, and Steve was wonderful the entire time. He took the time to explain to us how everything would come together, and to walk us through all of the material and design choices. He was also so friendly to all of us, including my mother in law and young children. He even had our little ones make hand prints and write their names with the date at the bottom as the final step! Jim and the crew from Blue Umbrella Waterproofing did an amazing job of installing a French drain in that problem room. From set up to install and to cleanup all went perfectly. Jim stayed in contact throughout the whole project. He made a frustrating time a breeze. He and his team answered all my questions and addressed any concerns I had. Im glad I decided to go with Blue Umbrella!! Thank you to Jim and your team! Update: 9/18/26 Originally I didn't have the funds to go with a battery backup sump pump system (system was reasonably priced. I was just strapped for cash) nor did I think we were going to get this much water near the house...well with this crazy weather we had with so much water, the pump did its job but I was also concerned with a power outage. I got the money together and worked with Steve and Jim to scheduled the install of a battery backup pump system. Well thanks to Steve,Jim and the crew, Willson came out and installed the unit. Now I have Days of protection if the power goes out. Thank you Blue Umbrella Waterproofing for working with me to get this done. Steve,Jim,Jose,Willson and the crew thank you so much for the work you did and putting me at ease knowing my basement is going to stay dry no matter how much rain we get.
