If I could give them more stars, I would. A friend recommended them a while back. I didn't need them at the time, but when I finally did, they delivered BEYOND. The first time was a super easy situation. The second time I used them my check engine light came on and it took a moment to finally figure out what the issue was. As soon as they did, they ordered the parts and had my car ready in no time. I never had to leave my car for days on end. I dropped it off in the morning and picked it up in the afternoon. About a year ago, maybe a little more, they worked on my last generation Lincoln Town Car. Had them do the spark plugs and look at my suspension to get to the bottom of a wobble in the steering wheel. While I'm sure they did the spark plugs, I couldn't even tell you what they did to the suspension. Clunking was still there. Dude looked again, and after keeping the car for another day they recommended something like 3500 dollars worth of repairs. I wasn't born yesterday. Went to another shop and they deduced that the struts were no good. Car drove amazingly after that and no steering wheel clunking. But it wasn't thanks to this shop. While I'm glad some people seem to have a great time with them, I would have been out a huge chunk of change for no good reason if I hadn't trusted my gut and walked away. read more

I had a small dent, almost small enough to ignore, but I wanted to see if anything could be done to make it less noticeable but that didn't involve a major project - no taking the door off or anything like that. They did an AMAZING job, pulling out the dent and touching up the paint. EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! G&R gave me immediate service on the spot. I came to only get an Oil Change and ended up having a stripped Lug on my oil pan on my 2012 Chevy Volt. G&R Removed the Lug and Replaced my oil and nut immediately. Took a little work to get the lug off yet it was removed without damage to the oil pan. Also the filter was stuck, due to the fact the oil hasn't been changed in a while. read more

I had a great experience with G&R. I'd been borrowing a friend's car and unfortunately, reversed the car into a pole. My partner is a mechanic and we tried to mend it but it wasn't looking 100% great. I visited different Autobody shops to get quotes on how much the repair would cost. Most Autobody shops wouldn't do it because it was too much work for the amount of labor it'd take to repair. But, the person I talked to was willing to try and fix it because he knew I didn't really have any other options. I could've paid $500 for a brand new bumper for the dealer plus getting it painted or it would've cost $700 to have G&R do it. He told me to suggest to my friend to give her $500 for the damage (which I did). I'm just super appreciative of the time he took to actually research parts for me and the cost of things. He didn't have to do that. I returned to G&R a second time because the front headlight went out and just as they were about to close, the mechanic checked it for me. I have never written a review before but I feel its necessary for this one. I have too many good things to say about G&R. I was told it was going to take 2-3 weeks to fix multiple huge dents and scratches on my car. I dropped my car off unexpectedly as I was going out of town for a week (the shop was super busy during this time and didn't really have room for my car). They had it fully fixed in 4 days like it was nothing! A job that would've taken multiple weeks at other repair shops. They also repaired damage to my door that was completely unrelated to the repairs we talked about prior. They had my car looking better than it ever has and that's not an exaggeration. My car was having trouble shifting into first gear especially during cold mornings and just wasn't shifting the smoothest that it could, I've had a clutch issue before and that can get expensive so I wanted to be proactive. My friend recommended Rob as I've been in search for a trusted mechanic, little did I know they'd be so close to me! I took my car in and Rob and a few other guys at the shop took a look and immediately found out what the issue was, my clutch fluid line was leaking and I had basically zero fluid left!! They went ahead and checked out the rest of the car for free and also noticed my brake pads needed to be replaced and my rotors serviced. VERY fair pricing, and quick and amazing service. My interactions with Rob at GR Auto has been consistently professional, patient and transparent. My story, at first blush, is a story of inconvenience but it concludes with satisfaction. Here it is. I took my car in to replace my side car mirror and upon calling several body shops, settled with GR Auto. Rob took care of it for a very good price which I was happy about. Once I started driving however, I realized the mirror dimensions were severely off. Whereas my left and rear view mirror showed that cars were closer, my right one that was replaced was far off. I knew I was susceptible to an accident so I called GR Auto to address it. I ended up calling three times which was a bit annoying. In their defense, perhaps they didn't comprehend the magnitude of the dimension discrepancy. Anyway, we settled on taking my car in during my third phone convo, and Rob spent the day replacing my side mirror to match my other ones. I took my car on a test drive afterwards and felt much safer. I left feeling satisfied. I think what significantly contributed to my satisfaction was Rob's professionalism. I recommend this shop! Happened to stumble on the shop roughly a year ago when I was having a problem and PepBoys (right next to them) said they couldn't fix it - and said that I should check out G&R Auto Repair. I already had the part and they fixed it in within 20 minutes at such a great rate. Since then I've been going back to them when my car has had problems and it's been nothing but the best service. Such a genuine and honest company - it feels like a shop my old man would own, but since my dad isn't out in Los Angeles to help me - these guys surly are the place to go to. Discovered this shop by accident. I had a tire that needed a quick patch and had stopped at the Pep Boys next door. I was in a rush, and after getting the "take a a number and sit down" treatment from them, I walked out not looking very happy. Was quoted 1.5 hour wait from Pep Boys. Greg found me wandering the street outside and asked if he could help. I told him the problem I was having and asked me to pull it around the back to the alley so he could look at it and said he would charge me the same or less than what Pep Boys wanted. Sure enough, I pulled it around the corner, they started on it right away, and the job was completed within 15 min. Bonus: I got to hang out and talk to Greg about the history of the shop and cars. I came here regarding a certain noise coming from my car. They checked it and fixed it for me within 20 mins and gave my car a complete inspection as well. Turns out the problem was a few loose bolts and they didn't charge me anything. Since then I have trust in Rob and now I always take my car to him for service. Thank GOD for these guys. I had another mechanic start a motor swap for my 2000 Civic Si, and he took half my money and ran--my car was left on jack stands NOT running. He was also disorganized so there were parts and bolts and belts and hardware everywhere, so I basically had to collect all the jigsaw pieces and throw it into a box. I needed professional help so I flat-bedded my car to GR. They went through everything with a fine tooth comb, and despite the disorganization, they were able to sort through everything and even find mistakes that were made along the way to make it right. The previous mechanic even cut and damaged my wire harness, so they completely rewired the entire car! These guys were incredible and got the car running perfect, and thank God for them because their price was almost half of what most shops would charge me. The owner/mechanic, Tigran, is very sweet, but, unfortunately doesn't diagnose car problems very well. This is really important to be able to do, because, otherwise he's "chasing car parts" and never really getting to the root of the problem. I've spent over $1,500.00 with him trying to get to the bottom of my car's problem, and I can't afford to spend anymore. I've taken my business elsewhere. If he knows exactly what is wrong, or if it's an easy fix, like needing a timing belt replaced or new tires, he does a great job and at an affordable price, which is why I gave him two stars. But if it's something harder to figure out, that's definitely his weak point. My advice to you, is if you have a problem with your car that doesn't seem completely obvious as to what it is, take your car somewhere else. read more
