BUYER BEWARE. BE CAREFUL HERE! I bought over $1,800.00 worth of items here. All the items except one were opened by me. The one Item that was not opened, still wrapped in Styrofoam with tags, and plastic wraps etc I wanted to refund back soon after I bought since my relative passed before it could be used. They refused the refund saying it was a "sanitary issue", although it was obviously impossible that it had ever been used in any way and these same items are all over their showroom floor, open and unwrapped and for sale. A shower chair is not sterile, and as noted, this one was still completely wrapped in the original packing and tags. So the "sanitary" issue is obviously B.S. Their refund policy on my receipt states it only applies to open or used items I have heard from others this attempt to get out of refunding anything is typical, so be careful and aware here. read more

My husband calls this the gimp super store. He is referring to himself, don't get excited. Since his unfortunate accident that left him needing assistance for distance, this is his go to place. Originally we were very nicely donated a scooter. It needed a "tuneup" and new battery. It ran great for a couple of years. The time came when he needed a new scooter, this is the place! Active mobility is the key, he may not be able to walk far, but that scooter keeps our Disneyland lifestyle afloat. Also, they are amazingly nice and helpful here. I have waited almost one month to post this review. I have exhausted all efforts to get Active Mobility to work with me. Even half way. But nothing. BUYER BEWARE I purchased several items from this store while my husband was in the hospital. I was preparing my home for his return. All in all I spent almost $5000 with this store. One of the purchases was a heavy duty lift chair for just over $2100.00. I made the purchase over the phone and the chair was delivered several hours later. Unfortunately, two days later, my husband passed away in the hospital. He never came home. I called Active Mobility the following business day to ask about a possible return of the chair. I was told that there is a no return, no exchange policy. No exceptions. I explained that I purchased the chair over the phone and was not informed of the policy and was told that I signed the receipt when it was delivered. The receipt had the no return policy on it. I asked if they could possible sell that chair at a discount for me and was told no. I wrote a letter to the owner offering the return at a discounted price and never received a response. I am now forced to sell the chair at the market price for used merchandise. That price is $400 if I am lucky. While I uderstand a no return policy, I also know that exceptions can be made for unusual circumstances. I am that circumstance. And they wouldnt even consider any options to help me. read more

I just purchased a Buzzaround xls mobility scooter from this Active Mobility location and had a great experience! Soma was very helpful without being high pressure. I did some research and had a Go go in mind but Soma showed me the unit I ended up buying, which I chose because of the extra length and in a 3 wheel because it had more leg room than a 4 wheel. I told her comfort was a high priority and the seat was very comfortable and also the spring suspension added to the comfort. So I bought one other than the one I originally selected based on online research, that's why I would HIGHLY recommend going to look and trying these in person. Their prices are the same as online prices and the bonus is that they put it together for me out of the box before I picked it up and online places charge extra for that. Soma was very patient showing me how to break the scooter down and put it together. I looked one day and picked it up on another day and so she did this on both days. Also, since we were there a long time test riding scooters, I saw her helping others very empathetically. This lady is constantly up and around, very helpful! I had a bad experience renting a scooter from a local competitor so knew I didn't want to make a large purchase from the competitor so I'm glad a friend recommended this place. I recently visited the Active Mobility Store in Murrieta on Jackson, a store I have used often for medical equipment. During my recent visit I was quoted a price on the purchase of a used wheelchair for my daughter. I asked the store to have the chair delivered to my house so that I could have my daughter placed into the chair to ensure that it was a good fit. When the wheelchair arrived and it became obvious that it was a good fit, I requested a couple of adjustments to the chair in which the salesperson made without any problem. While making the changes to the chair the salesperson saw my daughter's current wheelchair and inquired of the cost. (She cannot use the chair because it does not fit her). Once he found out the cost he then made a call to the store, and upon returning he wanted to triple the price of the chair, not wanting to honor the original price that was given. At that point, I informed him that his request was absurd and dishonest. He then stated that if I were to exchange with them my daughters current chair (cost 4 to 5 times as much as the chair I was going to purchase) plus give them the cost we had negotiated, they would accept the original agreed upon payment which I refused. (They wanted to take here chair in exchange plus pay for the chair that they had delivered). Keep in mind that I have been a loyal customer with this particular store for some time and spent thousands of dollars at this location. While I'm not one to call out anyone, this dishonest and egregious act by this store should not go unnoticed. I want people to know that if you do decide to shop at this store that: * Make sure that you get anything that this store tells you in writing * (2) Do not trust what they tell you * (3) I would not recommend this store at this point to anyone looking for medical equipment as they are not to be trusted when giving a price. It's unfortunate that they choose to make such a dishonest choice with a good customer (I thought they were good people) but there's plenty of other stores like theirs who would gladly take my business. I had a horrible experience with Active Mobility through Craigslist. They called me to inquire about a used scooter lift that I had posted. After talking me down $200, we set up a time for them to come pick it up. I rearranged my schedule that day and made a point to be home. The guy didn't show up or answer calls or texts. Then he had the nerve to text me an hour later and ask for the lift even $200 cheaper! I was so angry that I told him I would never sell it to him. A few days later, I got a call from another person at another phone number who wanted to purchase the lift. The guy showed up yesterday in a big Active Mobility truck. Ridiculous! Plus, the guy who showed up didn't have the right tools to take the lift out of my car and I even had to get my neighbor to help him. Overall, I would never purchase anything from this company. They are scam artists and their technicians are unprofessional and seem incapable of installing products. read more
