I…read morealways wanted a more natural birth and didn't know what was possible until I found the MN Birth Center. Every appointment leading up to the birth of my little one was awesome. Each appointment the midwives made sure to answer all my questions and I never felt rushed. My birth and labor were really long due to baby's position and I know if I had been at a hospital I would have ended up with drugs and a c-section which is not at all what I wanted. But the midwives and nurses were there the whole time helping me through it at the birth center and on the phone when I was at home. Even though giving birth in a pandemic is not what I expected. I am so thankful for the MN Birth Center for the opportunity to give birth how as close as how I wanted to during such crazy times.

They helped me do just that! I ran into red tape on every direction due to a false positive turners syndrome on blood test screening. I did not want to undergo amniocentesis due to risks and wanted a water birth as I had experienced previously with my first baby. My care was dropped by Health Foundations Birth Center at 34 weeks pregnant but I was able to continue with the amazing staff at the MN Birth Center and have the birth experience I had been hoping for! I'd give them 6 stars if possible!

Got caught in what gadgets, services to make easy money but left out a few steps. Doesn't study aging women's needs like thought he was. Caught him in a few yellow lights that even though I appreciated all done for me, time to drop going there. Example: Visit is for 1 topic, when I got to weight loss, how my pee poops skipped over to promote a daily drink no one had read the ingredients .. was is gluten free. Honest staff and physician just not revealing potential useful information. There are people with a lot of common sense they haven't heard of .. like PBS Judith Wrightman.. not sure I got the last name spelling right. Dr. Amen about brain health are just 2. No mention of how grief support or being prepared is important. Was told he would make an area more male friendly then that didn't happen. He has males that at least accompany the females coming. I was hospitalized, went well, it could've gone better and was not given any reports, clinic notes to make any future hospital experience less upsetting and more pleasant. Having a PCP not mentioned and some of what was promoted there clashed with the common sense at a primary physician visit. There is potential at this clinic to be awesome yet they might forego it for what's easiest and safest financially. What they don't realize is a few tweeks would achieve concerns, be cheaper, turn them into an exceptional, very needed service provider niche.

I'm a big one for calling out people who are a true credit to their profession and really go above and beyond for me as a patient. It's so eye opening to be on the other end of the health care side. The care giver side and not the analytical numbers side. This is my second appointment. This time I met with Patty who was absolutely fabulous! I hope for my sake and continuity of care I get to be with her all the time. She is one of the warmest, most educated, compassionate and helpful nurses I have ever met with. She explains everything so well and detailed that its easy to catch on and learn what you have to do. She's patient and just has a wonderful demeanor. Having to do what I have to do is not the best time nutrition wise, but its a small price to pay for the end result. I never thought I would have homework to do, but this stuff is an onslaught of info, charting etc. She explains it all very easily and not in a preachy way. I've learned so much from her. Things I have never really cared about that much, but have a better understanding of pre- and post baby. All the Yelp restaurants, food pics and temptations have to be put on the back burner for awhile, but an occasional indulgence here and there.... Now once baby gets here, I plan to get busy... Kidding (sort of )...No really; kidding. I don't want to have to do this again, but would if I got to go back to this clinic and have Patty work with me.

My experience was wonderful. Due to severe pre-eclampsia I found out at my 37w apt that I need to be induced asap. Brieana was called and she dropped everything and I mean everything to drive to the naval hospital at Camp Pendleton. My husband was deployed during this entire time and I was in desperate need of a guiding light. Brieana knew my wishes to have an unmedicated/natural birth and helped me overcome the pain so I had the birth I wanted. brieana stayed the during the entire process, even notifying me when a new nurse had uped my pitocin by several levels without telling me !!! She was by my side to give me a massage, breathe me past pitocin surges and she made every person that came into my room read my birth plan! This woman even was calm when my waters broke on her ! Brieana is amazing. She helped me to have my baby latch immediately, also one thing I'll never forget.... she said to me " im not leaving here until you tell me you feel safe " That is a big deal, something I needed to hear. She also checked in on my baby before she left ( my girl was in a SIU for an evening). Following birth, Brieana checked on me almost daily ! She took my placenta home to encapsulate and she delivered them to me the very day I was home from the hospital. She typed out a beautiful birth memoir for my daughter and shaped a part of her cord into a heart for her baby book I feel Incredibly blessed to have had Brieana as my doula. She is very caring, knowledgeable and dependable. I mean, she even had me laughing during some of my most painful surges ! Should I ever be pregnant again, I would want Brieana by my side.

Tests, referrals etc makes ones' mind go all sorts of places. At least mine. Luckily for me, this place put my mind at ease. I had a wonderful patient experience. First off, all of the providers are so kind and genuinely care about my well being and baby's well being. Our ultrasound tech was one of the warmest, sweetest, caring techs I've ever encountered. She explained everything in thorough detail and kept us aware of everything she was doing. I like that A Dr. comes in after to confirm all of the findings so I didn't have to wait to find out. She was great also. As was the provider explaining everything in great depth and detail of what the u/s would consist of before hand. You can never have too much information in my opinion when you are treating a patient. The delivery from a provider means a lot too. The location is great. If you have to drive, park in the red ramp. However, they don't validate. So parking is on your own. The front desk staff gets you in and out quickly. The waiting room is filled with plenty of magazines and a TV. I couldn't have asked for better providers or better care. Dr's and clinics need to know how they are doing a good job, too.
