Before any major problems came up, I would only stop by for air once in a while and Mel would happily help me out himself. I just dropped my truck off today to diagnose an AC issue. Apparently I require an entirely new AC kit, okay fine. I get the quote for almost $2800. Pretty flabbergasted, I begin to do research online and calling other places. I call to ask why the parts and labor costs are so high after a cursory online search. I find out after calling that they "only use the best parts" AKA OEM parts which are made directly by the manufacturer of the vehicle. Even with using these parts they are still up charging for the parts close to 200%. I call another auto shop that also uses the OEM parts and they will do the job including all parts and labor for $1250. I am actually pretty offended by how sleezy these people are. Maybe get with the 21st century and realize that everyone can use AI now to research these things. Apart from that, just stop trying to screw people over. This place is terrible and would give 0 stars, if I could. Oh, and by the way I am being charged $300 for a "diagnostic fee" as well... read more

Over priced - Something has dramatically changed at this location. I have used this shop for multiple cars over the past several years with nothing but glowing experiences, and never had any concerns about unnecessary repairs or overcharging. If you are not brainless and oblivious to anything cars, this place is a true MONEY PIT, WASTE $$$$$$$. The shop manager or whatever he is, named "Mo", is very dazed and confused at all times like the other reviews mentioned. His shop doesn't keep records of vehicle work. He asked me if I remember what was done by him to my vehicle. When I eventually asked why they wouldn't properly diagnose an A/C problem before recommending a random repair that did not solve the problem, his response was "You got what you paid for" whatever that means. He also said "I dont want to touch this car it has too many problems" which is not true. The truth could be, he doesn't know anything about cars. Isnt a mechanic shop where cars with problems go? What the heck. hahah. What a joke. Not a problem solver. Not a manager. I don't know who is keeping him there nor why. Had to go to a totally different shop to get such minor things fixed. Extremely disappointing experience. There was a noise coming from my car, so I brought it here for service. The shop completely misdiagnosed the problem, replaced the belt, tensioner, and pulley--which weren't the issue--and charged me $840. When I returned, they still couldn't identify the real cause and were dismissive when I asked for help. I later took my car to another shop that immediately diagnosed the problem as a faulty alternator. After replacing it, the noise disappeared completely. This proves that the previous repair and charges were unnecessary. The entire experience was a waste of time and money. Even after giving them a second chance, they failed to fix the issue and treated me poorly when I asked for a fair resolution. Unprofessional, careless, and disappointing service--I strongly advise others to stay away. read more

I have used Active Auto for tires and car service for the past 8 years. My continuity reflects my satisfaction with the service and quality. Recently one of my tires developed a rapid leak due to a ruptured wall. I was able to get to AA quickly where they worked me in, replaced the tire along with the other three which were nearing their lifespan, did a needed oil and filters change, and state inspection. This establishment was unable to provide any help. I caught a flat tire on I10 East, coming from my grandson's graduation at Lackland AFB (going back to Jacksonville, FL). We were able to make it here and I can't get help. Had to call for roadside assistance in their parking lot! I just didn't have a good experience with them. When I'm back on the road in the future, I pray if I come back this way, I won't ever see this place again!!! Driving a German sports car, I always get nervous when I've needed to take it in for maintenance. Even simple repairs can cost hundreds, and sometimes thousands! So I was nervous about taking it to Active Auto (Goodyear) even though it was a simple issue related to the hood release latch. After litterally 30 minutes I recieved a call saying it was ready. I braced myself for the bill when I got there, but they refused to charge me anything! This is the type of service you don't find anymore. Especially in this part of town, and driving a 911! While I can't say I needed major service, it says a lot about the way they're managed and their integrity. I'll definitely recommend them! read more

This location is right by my office so it's very convenient. The employees are very nice, and prices reasonable. They've done tire repairs and oil changes for me so when it came time to put tires on my wife's X5 I sent it here. A while after I dropped the car off they mentioned one small scuff on the black wheel. I was shocked because my wife is impecable in taking care of her car and if there was a scuff, she would have immediately gotten it fixed. I accepted it, and said oh well. When I picked up the car I saw not just the scuff they mentioned but multiple on both wheels that got new tires. Not only that, someone tried to apply shiny black paint over the scuffs to cover them up. Also, we only replaced the back tires, both back wheels had scuffs and the front wheels that didn't get new tires were absolutely perfect. Lastly, I noticed that the tire sidewalls were perfect except for scuffs on the tires exactly next to the new scuffs on the wheels. I mentioned all of this to the manager and he still tried to blame it on us for the wheels being scuffed when I brought it in. I asked him how the scuffs got on the brand new tires too right next to each scuff on the wheel. He didn't really have an answer. The fact that they tried to cover it up to with some cheap black paint really pissed me off. Now I've got to get the wheels repaired which cost more than the tire install. I didn't want them to pay for refinishing the wheels merely apologize and admit they messed up our wheels. It really bothered me. I just won't bring them my business any more. If you care about your car and expect the people servicing it to take as much care as you do, this isn't the place to bring it. read more

This shop is straight up on determining what is wrong and the best way to fix the problem. I was able to find a replacement part for half of what it was going to cost them and they installed my part with no issues, not to many shops do this.
